Quizzes -Who am I? Where am I?

[ALL images on this post courtesy of google]

In my boredom I've been doing a few online quizzes to get answers to those burning questions:

Which SATC girl am I? Handbag.com tells me I'm Charlotte. I was sad cos she is the 3rd lamest girl (Miranda would be the worst). But I guess it's fair, I'm no Carrie or Samantha!

I also did the 'Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?' quiz and thank god the results said I was Team Jacob! Imagine the trauma I'd be in now if it said I was Team Edward!!! And I'm being half sarcastic and have honest here; I fibbed a few answers to make sure I was Team Werewolf!!! My life as I know it would have ended if it said I was Team Edward :s

If you want to pass some time finding out more about yourself then copy and paste this ----> into your thingy bar: http://www.handbag.com/quiz/free-online-quizzes/microsite

I must say, I am not one of those people that do a million quizzes and posts my results on facebook (I just write a million random crappy blogs and pastes it into my facebook lol) but doing these quizzes reminds me of being young again. Remember those flow chart type quizzes in the magazines? I use to cheat in those too; keep doing it til I get the answer I wanted. I wish I had put that much time and effort into studying. I mean seriously, if I put in half the time and energy into doing my dissertation as I do internet stalking Taylor Lautner I'd be Prime Minister by now.

I just did the 'Which Hero are you quiz?' and I am Hiro:

"
Aren’t you adorable! You always see the best in people and have a great zest for life. Always stand up for what you believe in and trust your instincts – they are usually right." That's a nice result!

So....Who am I? I am a loser out of a group; whether it's a group of middle age screechy women or a group of hero/freaks, I'm the lame-ass. But also the cute one. At least I'm not ginger!

The Ugly Truth

Just finished watching The Ugly Truth starring Katherine Heigl and Gerald Butler. Took me 3 days to watch it and the verdict? It was OK.

It was funny; I like Gerald Butler's cave-man character, but it wasn't amazing clever or funny. Would I recommend? Yeah, why not, decent enough chick flick; a nice light hearted fare.

There won't be any spoilers here; it doesn't take a genius to figure out how this story ends.

THE END!

[Edit: To be fair, I've watched a truckload of movies over the last few days....I might have rom com overload or something....and there's seriously nothing to be said. I think the movie poster says it all!!!!!!]

Jennifer's Body...is HOT! *Total Spolier*

Finally finished watching Jennifer's Body, just over 3 hours for a 100min film, actually quite good for me, it could have easily taken me the whole afternoon (not that it was bad).

(FYI: Basically, the reason why it takes me so long to get through a movie is cos I keep getting distracted. I'll be blogging, stalking Taylor, internet shopping, cooking/eating, or even reading a book. So I watch about 10mins of the film ,'take a break', 10mins of film, 'take a break' and so on and so forth.)

So I've been meaning to see this movie for ages (cos I heart Megan Foxxxxxxx!) but sat down to watch it once and in under 30secs i got bored and distracted and well, game over basically. I am very happy that I gave it a second go, I enjoy it, and if you are not too much of a 'up your arse poser' then I recommend you watch it too.

****TOTAL SPOILER ALERT******

Ok, I've warned you in big red bold writing so if you're still reading, here's the last warning: I am going to write about the film, and if you haven't seen it and you don't like to know what happen's then STOP READING!!! NOW!!!

So basically Foxxxxx plays Jennifer, a hot school girl from the lil town Devil's Kettle. She is BBF with Anita 'Needy', played by Amanda Seyfried (whom I loved in this movie but no homo), one of them says of their friendship; "sandbox love never dies". Their friendship is weird (in hollywoods eyes) becasue Jen is so gorgeous and Needy is a plain jane geek. She even wears glasses *GASP*

So anyway the girls go to a party in a bar cos Jen wants to see a band (lead singer played by Adam Brody from The OC in eyeliner, how indie). Bar randomly catches on fire. The girls see people burning and getting squashed by falling burning building bits. Traumatic. Girls in shock (especially Jen). Needy knows a way out; they crawl out a bathroom window. Catching breath outside. Instead of going home Jen ends up in the band's van despite Needy saying they should leave.

Blah blah blah basically the band think she is a virign and in order to succeed in the indie world they've decided to make a sacrifice to the devil. (The next bit we don't find out til later ---->) They sing a song, chop her up and leave her for dead. Unfortunately Foxxxxx is no virgin (don't worry, the band still reap the reward though and they get signed woo hoo) so rather then just be dead, her body has been taken over by a demon (but she's still her though....idk whatever). Demon needs to eat flesh to stay alive. She loves proper sexy when she's fed, and ugly "for her" when she's hungry.

[both images courtesy of google]

So she eat's a few boys from her highschool, leaves Colin the Emo/Goth looking like "lasagne with teeth" blah blah blah. Ends up in Needy's bedroom in knickers and knee highs, bit of girl on girl action at 59mins and 30 seconds. Tells Needy the story of what happened with the band, cos BBF's don't keep secrets from each other duh. Jen doesn't really know what the dealio is, we viewers know afterwards becasue geeky Needy does some research in her school library.

Anyway, Needy plans to stop the carnage. On prom night Jen decides to munch on Needy's boyfriend (sad when he dies, his last words were touching, but it doesnt distract me from the fact he is a cheating scumbucket who cheated on Needing. Kissing = Cheating. Hell, even thinking about kissing = cheating!!!!!!) Needy has spidey sense and manages to find them. The girls ahve a fight in a old swimming pool full of weeds and scummy water. They could have made this scene way much better with a bit of nudity. Everyone was fully dressed at all times. What a wasted opportunity :(

For some reason Jen legs it. Goes home. Moping on her bed (in short shorts) Needy come crashing through the window. They fight. Needy kills Jen (stabbed her through the heart).

The End!

But I forgot to mention, when the film starts we meet Needy (the narrator) when she is in jail/mental jail something like that. She is a 'kicker'. She gets letters from fans and jesus lovers. Blah blah blah film ends. She's been telling her story from the special cell they've locked her in (for kicking the shit out of a worker) and she itches the bite mark she got during the final bedroom fight. And basically, she tells us that if you get bitten my a demon and live, you get some of the demons powers. And then we notice she is hovering. She then kicks out the window (this girl is like a donkey dude!) and marches straight out. She hitches a ride, and basically she kills all the band members.

JUSTICE IS SERVED!!!

Celebrity Crushes over the years

I do offer my sincere apologies for my sudden Taylor Lautner obsession btw. I was going to try to suppress it but then i thought, this is my blog, and i can read this when i am old and grey (and he'll be 25 lol) and laugh at myself.

So with that in mind, I am going to recall my celebrity crushes:

In some sort of order:

Number 1 was definitely Mr Johnny Depp. An unoriginal and uninspired celebrity crush but he is one of the most beautiful men ever. Put him in a wig and heels and he'd probably still be one of the most beautiful women ever too lol I had books on him, stickers and my pride and joy, my wall size movie poster courtesy of R and J who stole him and delivered it to my front door. Thank you for walking the streets with my dreamboat lol

Another classic crush - Brad Pitt. He is just undeniably yummy (well....i would deny him these days with that beard he's rocking).

And then my next few years (maybe a decade) was spent crushing on real people, stalking 6th formers etc.

My next big crush that I remember is Ollie from a defunct boyband called Point Break:

No idea how I came across them. But anyway, Ollie is the blond one. I bought their album. I was in their fanclub. I wrote to them and they wrote back!!! (Which is more then can be said for Johnny Depp!) And the most amazing thing that happened is that when they released a single (can't remember what one) they put all their fans name's onto the whatchamacallit....the paper sleeve that came with the tape. How cool is that?! This crush didn't last long (neither did the band).

Skip another few years and my next humungous crush was Milo Ventimiglia, best known as Peter Petrelli from Heroes. My obsession for darling Milo mirrors my current obsession for jailbait Taylor very closely, and I am worried for my sanity. Milo started off as wimpy Peter Petrelli (and also wimpy badboy Jess in my fav series Gilmore Girls). I started googling and youtubing 24/7. I've seen every clip there is to see, and if he has appeared for more then 3 seconds 10 years ago then I've seen that too. And then he took his top off. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! I start googling and youtubing even more!! I start getting posters from friends (thanks C!), Milo chocolate bars (thanks V!), my obsession is so big even my mum knows who Milo is. I have a folder on my favourites just full of Milo links, and I have a folder of pics of him too. I am a loser.

Next crush (though i really can't remember if this was pre or post Milo) was Adrian Grenier, best known as Vince from Entourage. This obsession fizzled out really quickly simply because apart from Entourage and a teen flick he hasn't been in much; a few random independent projects but nothing big and you need something to fire that obsession. I can only google search so much before i give up!!! He is beautiful though. *sigh*

Erm....and that leads me to today. Lil Taylor Lautner. <3

I was slightly worried before that I was losing my blog passion but I feel that I have it back. I'm at that stage in my life where my nails are too long to do stuff, and I feel that it is this issue which has slightly dampened my blogging fire so to speak. But luckily with my Friday A/L and the bank holiday weekend I can type via laptop.

And to those thinking."Just cut your nails you stupid bint" I suggest you go and read blog entry entitled "something nails"......read it? Life is tough!

Ok, so i'm feeling a bit goo goo ga ga at the moment. Like I could just float away into the clouds and go hang out with fairies (the kind with wings, no homo) and unicorns; this is what happens when i have free time. I am not drunk or on drugs. I'm just majorly confused with the empty days stretched out in front of me.

I was suppose to see my mum today (she was going to come to mind and sleep over) but I called her this morning and she said she couldnt be bothered. Charming. I havent seen her since the 1st week of May but whatever, see you at Christmas then, if I can be bothered!!! :(

Since Friday I've been on a film marathon. At this very moment I am watching Jennifer's Body starring the delicious Megan Foxxxxxxxx (mega homo, or as they say in the film, "lesbigay"). I did try to watch this before (of course i have) but I made it through about 1 minute, probably 30secs before I gave up (they should always do full nudity in the first 10 seconds to keep viewers interested - just my humble opinion) whereas now I am a whole 30mins and 18 seconds into the film (and it's taken me over 2 hours to get this bloody far!). Do i like it? Not sure. I think she is about to kill her first victim. I wiki'd the plot of course.

Over the last few days I watched:
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen aka Transformers 2 - Loved it. I am of the transformers generation, my fav transformer in the film franchise is bumblebee. I kinda hate optimus prime cos he is such a typical good guy/wimp. Grow some balls man. I am glad he didn't die/stay dead. My fav part of the movie was Megan Foxxxxx's boobs. And also Isabel Lucus' ass.

Did you hear about the Morgans? - starring SJP and Hugh Grant. You get what you cast for!! Not a recommend but if you have time to spare then there are worse things you could do with your time...like murder people.

The Invention of Lying - I'm not a Ricky Gervais fan, never seen the Office, i really don't get it; him. Did I enjoy this film? Well...was it suppose to be funny..... because it wasn't particularly funny. A mediocre episode of The Simpsons is funnier but I did enjoy it. The premise of the film was clever I thought and I'm glad I watched it.

Love Happens - Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart. It was very gooey. Def a chick flick. But I always have problems watching Maniston in Rom Com, and not because I think her acting is shit (i don't really care either way, rom coms are watched for...the pretty people...not the acting!!) but because i know in real life her life is neither romantic or comedic. It makes my heart ache hearing some of her lines; are the script writers taking the piss?! It's like her character in 'He's just not that into you' or whatever and she was getting fitted for her bridesmaid outfit and there was all the sad talk and I nearly cried cos i was thinking "OMG you're a loser in real life too and you are going to die alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" .....Actually I don't think 'Love Happens' was a rom com, just a rom. But either way, Maniston = sad :(

The Accidental Husband - I was a bit confused seeing Uma Thurman on my screen, as I was expecting Katherine Heigl but thats the beauty of these movies, all the acting is crap so who care's who is in it! Enjoyed this one in comparrison to everything else, recommend. (Transformers was the best though!!)

What I really want to watch is "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl" starring my underaged crush Taylor Lautner, but not finding it :(Not actually sure why I want to watch it though......I think he is about 11 at the time.....just wiki'd it....it was released in 2005...so he was 12. Much better. Every year counts!!

20 cent

Trying to eat healthier/less. End of the first week and I'm not doing good at all. Chicken wings, burgers, McDonalds, about 34045 pizza's, brownies, cholocate and crisps. Must do better next week! (i did eat 5 satsuma's yesterday though!)

But seeing the articles on 50 cent's 'amazing weightloss for a film role and Sarah Jessica Parker's scrawny hands at the SATC2 premier makes me hungry. Seriously, i see skinny people and it makes me want to pour a bottle of oil down my gob.

[images top to bottom: 50 cent and SJP's hand]

Where's my wolf?

I'm on annual leave today :) And in my tradition i am still in my pj's :)

Watching 'this morning' and just surfing the web. Looking for wedding outfit ideas and accessories. Looking for a life size Taylor Lautner cut out. Yup I'm a loser. But anyway, I've found a great site that specialises in cut out of celebs, but interesting if you search for Taylor you come up with nothing, but if you search Jacob Black ($19.95), BINGO!

And you can even buy the whole cast of New Moon!! How freaky would it be if I had the whole cast in my flat? House party!! ....I'm sure we all know which room Taylor will be occupying ;)

J-Lo versus P-Et

When is the search going to end? What search you ask? The search for my wedding guest outfit. I know I announced a while ago that the search was over and I had found a dress but I've changed my mind.

My new dress is courtesy of F&F at Tesco (I know!!!!), I'll get a pic up soon. Not even sure if this is 'the one' (a bit too formal/it's cream) but i still think it's a nice dress to have in my collection.

For now i leave you with a pic of J-Lo:

My dress is the same shape/style/fabric and colour as the one she is wearing, but on my shoulders I've got major pearl detailing. The reason why I am putting up this particular pic is because I've been wondering how to wear my dress, the pearl shoulder pads makes it difficult to accesorize as everything clashes with the pearls but then i came across this pic after googling 'cream dress black shoes' and i think J-Lo looks nice, what do you think? Obviously I would have a smaller bag (or if i can find it, a huge plain black clutch) and i don't think my shoes will be from YSL! lol

Jeez, i wish i could just send J-Lo in my place, that would be much easier.

Ramble and haul

Wow I am on a roll!!!

And i know i still haven't done my hauls :( I'm just too lazy to upload the photo's, sorry.

But for now, i went to Wilkinsons the other day as i was down to my last 3 baby wipes, and apart from the wipes i also picked up a rolling pin and a much needed fridge temperature gauge. I'm feeling very sophisticated with my rolling pin; no idea why i bought it though. I guess I could use it to bash any intruders.

I also got a tree mug.....don't really need one because i don't have enough mugs, and plus theres more then enough cupboard space for my measly kitchen stuff but it matches my kitchen roll holder and fruit bowl so i thought i might as well buy it. I've got it on my counter with the price tag still attached with the mugs i do have; 'testing it out', not sure what for though. Liking it so far. Note to self: move it into the corner otherwise the mugs i do own will soon be in smitherines (sp?!) on the floor.

I also got a top the other week from Gap; it's a white sleeveless shirt/blouse (what's the difference?) with what i would describe as . I like it because it's a longer length so I can wear it with trousers. I find that with jeans i can wear a normal length top but with work type trousers (or my linen trousers which are getting plenty of usage at the moment) I need a long top. Unfortunately I do have to wear a cardi to cover my fugly arms :(

Well, its 2:10am now so this is def the last blog for now, sweetdreams xxx

Home sweet home

[image courtesy of google images; using the elephant as it is a lucky symbol]

This isn't another blog about how much I love my shoebox. This is
about how much I love my home England.

Life is ok if you're biggest worry is 'cocopops or toast for
breakfast?' or whether I should have chicken burger or chicken wings
for lunch.

Life isn't bad if the worst thing that has happened today is that my
nail polish chipped or that "damn they don't have normal chicken so I
have to pay 10p extra for a spicy burger".

I know I've blogged before about how I hate it when people respond to
my complaints of starvation by saying "you don't know what starvation
is" or if I say I'm tired and they say "at least I have a job/at least
u don't have to scurrage through rubbish dumps".

This post isn't about that. It's about the truth of the world, of
things beyond me or you.

People starve. People suffer at the hands of others. People die. It's
a cruel cruel world. And yes this happens in England too, and in huge
numbers beyond my comprehension but at this moment I am ok and I know
my loved ones here are ok.

Imaging living in Thailand at the moment. For recent years Thailand
has been a peaceful country, known as the land of smiles. Bad things
happen there too but at this particular moment it's affecting people
who probably popped out for noddles and ended up caught in bombings.

I'm not too sure what I'm trying to say. I want world peace? Or
selfishly, I want peace in my two homes, England and Thailand.

Please may this end soon.

I'm in love....

with Taylor Lautner. He was born in 1992. Can I go to jail? He has nice teeth. Hhhmm you can't see his teeth in this pic -weird ;)

Am now looking forward to all the twilights!!! lol

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Not me!! Cos I'm team Jacob :)
.....not quite sure if I'm in love with Taylor or his character Jacob Black but hey, they look the same, and it's the outside that counts!!

[image courtesy of google images - god bless you google!!!]

Bird nest hair = not good

Ok, slight exaggeration, my hair isn't as bad (or in my personal view, as styled lol) as the above image. But give me a few more weeks and I'm sure you'll find a few birds in there!!

So.......the birth of my blog was pretty much filled with cries of lament over my 'crispy hair' and once i finally got a bit of a chop I still had my crispy days but it wasn't so bad and much less often.

Recently I've had really great hair days - the length is just about back to pre-chop lengthnand it's about healthy as it can be crispy fried(!)

But now I've hit another GHD (good hair day) obstacle ARGH

...Basically, because of the length I can now just straighten the front section and leave the rest to air dry, and it dries nice and wavy (as opposed to a frizzy bush), perfect for summer. However, the flip side is that i can't brush my hair! At the end of the day its a tangled mess and tbh i just can't be bothered. In the morning i tie it up, put on a aliceband and jump in the shower, get dressed blah blah blah and then i try to comb it but i can't!!!!!!! It's just a big fat tangled mess, and then I can't be bothered (wow how many times have i said that?! someone needs to stop being so lazy) and then i get home from work or whereever and the cycle starts again.

Just by typing this blog I know how i can solve my problem.........brush my hair!!!! lol
But seriously, i am in a rut; i either straighten my hair and end up crispy, or a have wavy hair and it ends up pulled out by the brush and my bedroom carpet looks like a skinned bear. Choices choices!

SUNday

Hi guys!

Wow I feel that I haven't blogged for ages but this is actually my 3rd post this week.
I've hit over 400 views, so THANK YOU :) I think when i hit 1000 views I will do a giveaway competition...probably nail polish or something....with an alternative if it's a male winner (thinking of S).

I've had a crazy busy week, most of the time i don't know if i'm coming or going!

On Thursday i started work at 7:30AM (4 mins late) and i was there til after 6pm, and then i went to F's house and got home at just after 3AM, and then i didn't go to bed til 4:30am cos i needed to tidy the flat cos L was visiting.

So Friday i had booked off as annual leave but i had to finish something off at work so went in for an hour or so and then at 12pm met liz, ate lunch in nando's, came to my flat and watched a movie, hung out on my roof. it was a lovely day.

Satruday i was late for work but honest to god i had no choice but to get food on the way cos i odnt know if i'm sick or still running off thursday adrenaline but nando's was the last meal i had eaten and i didn't want to die before my scheduled lunch.

Was supposed to interview someone but they didnt bother to show up or call, but it meant that i just kept waiting around and i couldnt relax. Lunch was too early at 12pm and it meant the rest of the day draaaaaaaaaagged.

It was not a bad day though cos i had made last minute arrangements to see R, and so she came round to mine and we ate frozen pizza (well it wasn't frozen when we ate it lol) and drank cider on the roof again. By that time there wasn't much sun left but its just nice to be able to sit in the 'fresh' air and have that space.

I must say that i am so angry though. In between the time L and I were on the roof and then me and R yesterday some MOFO's had been to the roof and totally trashed it. In the stairwell to the roof there was fag butts and ash everywhere, plastic cups, broken glass bottles and the worst thing was that these selfish animals had written on the walls and actually keyed badly spelt words and lines into the wall. The whole building is our home at the end of the day, what a f*cking moron. Thanks for spoiling it for everyone else. ARGH

So today i finally caught up on my sleep. Too bad i have no decent food in the house. When i woke up I was thinking of taking a book (and a samurai sword) up onto the roof again but then that would be breaking the pj rule....and i dont think my neighbours want to see me in my nightie with my pasty legs out. And i know everyone is excited about the sun but tbh i don't really get it. If i have to be out on road then i'm happy its sunny but if i have the option to stay indoors i'd rather much be there and then who cares whether its raining or sunny?

Watch out for the rays guys, skin cancer folks.

Erm, on that happy note, hope y'all enjoying the sun ;)

Team Jacob, Edward, Tamsin and Elephants

Hi Guys!

Before we start: does anyone know how I could rotate the pics I put up on blogger.com and facebook?!

Ok, back to business. I just uploaded all my sightseeing/elephant pics onto facebook and just by doing that I'm really happy :) Apologies for not posting what i did on my day off, I feel that the right time has passed now, and the best bits were covered in my many blessings; I will still do the hauls though....soon...ish.

It's weird that I'm so cheerful now cos I was quite miserable before; bad things kept happening to me: I cut my arm and leg - actually bleeding - by walking into the same piece of furniture at two seperate occassions (that's what happen when you rearrange your furniture!). I stepped on my earphones which were on the floor (even though i kept telling myself i would pick them up), they broke which sucks but it hurt so much i bruised the heel of my foot - thats as thick as a buffalo's arse man, and i screamed so loud the neighbour banged on the wall. Glad to know that if i were getting murdered they wouldn't come running KMT. The worse thing that happened (this was all yesterday by the way) was that while i was draining my pasta i missed the sink and some (enough!!!) boiling water and penne pasta pieces burned my foot. ARGH MOFO!!!

But hey, Monday is a new day!! And i think now would be a good time to count my blessings!

1) I 'found' my phone connector thing, so i can transfer pics from mobile to laptop which is fantastic! :) - I say 'found' because turns out it wasn't lost, it was in its box and i'm dumb. I was looking for something that had a long wire when infact this is a diddy little thing.

2) I got asked for ID in Morrisons supermarket when i was trying to buy intuition razors, as recently raved about. The funny thing was, I was being stalked by an admirer (some 40yr old + african dude and his friend), and literally he conversed with me from the bread aisle, to the milk aisle, I lost him in meat section and then he found me again when i was queuing to pay. So him and his friend stand behind me in the queue (lucky i wasn't buying anything embarassing), and when it gets to the razor the lady asks me for ID. I'm just looking at her blankly, I'm nearly 26, how old do you need to be to buy a bloody razor?! I tell her I'm 26 (ok i lied) but i had no ID on me. The dude pipes up, "you can see she is a woman not a girl" and then his mate said to him "well you bloody hope so!!!" LMAO it was funny, you had to be there. I did not get my razors :(

3) I had a great day yesterday. Did nothing. Even when my mum called i told her i could not speak to her (mean, selfish, but much needed!). Watched twilight new moon. no idea if i am team edward or team jacob. If i'm not marrying them but casually dating could i be a member of both teams?! Also watched St Trinians 2, the search for frittons gold. I want to be team Tamsin Egerton too hubba hubba hubba!!!!

International Day Against Homophobia

Today (17th May) is International Day against Homophobia. The guy (greg) who made this video is actually a beauty guru on youtube but this video, and the one he did about his experiences coming out make my heart ache.

Please watch it.

How would you have reacted to Javier and Mellisa in the mall? 'Accepting' isn't enough though it's a step in the right direction. Can you be brave enough to do what she said at the end? ...To refuse to accept the hatred and discrimination from other people to other peopl; to tell someone to stop if they are being mean? I put my hands up and say 'probably not'. I'm scared to rock the boat, and i find it hard to disagree with people. My one bit of support i can offer right now is to share this video.

I hope it made you think. And i hope it made you feel something.

Feeeed me/ toilet trauma

Good morning!

I'm just trying to kill the time. I'm in bed, been awake for a while
but just chillaxing. Not going to get out of bed til 12.01pm there's
no point getting up ainute earlier because I've got no breakfast type
food in the house (well I've got cocopops but no milk. Like having a
car with no engine.)

Something funny/traumatic happened to me at work yesterday. Before I
get to the story let me just set the scene: I was wearing my skinny
denim leggings (but they're not jeggings) and when I'm doing my
Saturday job obviously I'm on my feet all day so I need to keep my
supplies on me. So in the lil back poker I had a packet of tissues,
Vaseline, a tube of handcream and for that particular moment my mobile
cos I'd just come back from my lunch break.

Back to the 'story' ---> so I go to the use the loo and before I erm
do anything...ok fine, as I'm pulling down my jeans I hear something
drop. Now, this happens all the time and I curse and retrieve whatever
I've dropped (and give it a jolly good cleaning, dropping things in
public toilets makes me gag. Yuck!!) but I could tell from the noise
that this was not the usual drip. I look round and lo and behold my
frigging hand cream is floating in the toilet bowl (I had not used the
toilet yet I want that to be clear!).

Feck feck mega feck.

What did I do? What would u have done? I didn't want to leave the tube
floating around cos it's be selfish and render the toilet unusable or
worse some idiot would use the toilet, flush it and end up flooding
the place (and trust me it's skanky enough!)

I put my hand into the toilet bowl and fished out the tube. I did wrap
my hand in a million layers of toilet paper first and the tube was
floating and the lid bit was over the water line so I didn't stick my
hand in toilet water, not even a finger tip got wet (thank u Jesus!).
So I fished it out and chuck it on the floor. And then ran out to
disinfect myself.

I never got to do my wee :(

And I had to spend the next 5 hours with achingly dry hands :(

Lamebook

Hello hello.
It's nearly 2:30am and I'm awake and I'm blogging (very difficult to
string sentenses together though!).

The reason I'm up late is cos a) I'm trying to enjoy my Sunday, it's
my only day off, I wanna live a lil' b) I've just discovered lamebook.com

Omg it's frigging awesome! Basically it just shows the stupid and/or
funny status updates, actvities, posts, comments etc I just read
through 54 pages and even though my eyeballs are burning i don't
regret a second of it.

If you're ever bored I'd definitely recommend this site. Another great
site for passing the time is passiveagressivenotes.com. Both sites
have me laughing out loud for real.

I wonder if I could contribute cos there's some people on my friends
List who write/say some dumb shit (ok fine, I include myself in the
idiotic mass!) Some of the things I can't believe it's true, I'm just
like WTF?!

Tag: Top 10 products for summer

As the title suggests, this is going to be a tag post on my personal top 10 products for summer.

In no particular order:

1) Baby oil
When i was younger/at school i loved this stuff. I used it all over my body and also my face. I feel summery using baby oil cos I'm shiny and in my head i think it makes me darker but i'm assuming that's actually the work of the Sun.

2) Red nail polish
Nothing says summer like cherry red toes. Always reminds me of the elephant hiding in a tree joke though. Not actually sure how the joke goes but i got the image in my head...

3) Benefit's High Beam
I know summer is here when i switch from moonbeam to highbeam. When i first started wearing make-up the idea of a highlighter was a bit lost to me, and tbh, i don't think highlighters are great for asian people since our faces are generally so flat there's nothing to highlight but hey, an excuse to stick some more slap on!

4) Cliniques Redness Solution Protective base
I wear this stuff all year round. It's basically a green cream (to lessen any redness) with spf in it. In the colder months i wear it on my nose, and if i need it around my mouth area after apply my moisturiser and before my foundation. In the summer i put it on my t-zone. I'm not too worried about spf as all my face products have it already but def put more on my nose, its red enough!!

5) Nivea Whitening deodorant
I dont know if this is sold in England but i always stock up on this when i go thailand. Lets not get into too much detail but underarm area is not pretty in general and my armpits need all the help they can get!! And its a good deodarant, it's passes the stinky sweat test!!

6) Fake tan
Did you like the photo? (courtesy of a website) I don't bare enough skin to get a natual tan, plus i am fearful/careful of skin cancer so i never get a good tan going, tan out of the bottle is more then good enough for me!

7) An umbrella!!
Ha-ha. I live in London after all, nothing silly about having a lil brolly in your handbag for those random showers!

8) Intuition razor
This is my all time favourite razor, simply becasue i am lazy. Tbh i think they made the moisture block or whatever you call it too thick cos when you first use it the razor doesnt even touch your skin so i find myself running it under a hot tap to melt which is a dreadful waste.

9) Cocoa butter
You can probably tell i'm a bit obsessive with being moisturised durring the summer but hey, no one wants to see crusty elbows, knees and cracked feet as well as grey legs.

10) Waterproof mascara
I'm not actually a fan of waterproof mascara, i must prefer the 'normal' stuff and tbh i can't even say why, i just do! But in an ideal world i'd wear waterproof mascara in the summer cos my make up does run and i look like a panda by lunchtime!!

So, what are your must-haves for the summer? I tag all of you :)

Saturday again?

Hello my blog babies :)

Cant believe its saturday again already. Hope you're all well,
apologies for the lack of posts and hinted at hauls. I've been so busy
with work and my cousin.

I'm so exhausted and it shows, my hair is crispy and I've got s big
ugly spot on my lip. From a distance it looks like I have a trout pout
- spot so big it looks like another lip lol

That being said, the past week has been fab. Work is intensive but
super fun, every day is different and getting to hang out with my
cousin was nice, I don't have any family in the uk apart from my
parents and brother. It's weird (for me) being with someone I'm
related to but not really knowing them. You're close but you're not,
you know what I mean?

On the way to my Saturday job now. As usual it's a 'will I or won't
I?' scenario. I left home super early only to see a bus pulling away
from the stop and then the next bus I could get was a 13min wait :(

It's 9am and I've just got onto my connecting tube. If there are no
delays I'll be fine...

Actually I have bigger things to worry about. There's 3 really old
white dudes (70's? 80's?) sitting opposite me and they're literally
staring at me with their mouths open. This is an east London train,
I'm not the only person of colour on this carriage, stop boggling me!
I'm scared they're gonna kidnap me and perform experiments on me. (KMT
I wanna see anyone try to carry me off the train! Lol) update: scary
old people only travelled 2 stops with me.

Uh oh new danger. Bunch of youths staring at ipenny. Bye bye for now
blog babies!!

....hello! I didn't get mugged, yay me! It's 6.30pm now and I'm on the
way home. Not in the mood to take the long arse bus journey so I'm
braving the tube. Probably the wrong choice since 3 trains have now
passed and I've not worked up the guts to get on. I hate hate hate
going underground and will usually avoid it where possible (I do it in
the morning cos when I'm in a rush the fear of beig late gives me the
guts, plus i don't want to spend a total of 4 hours on the bus, that's
half a shift!)

On the train now and it's all good :)

I've had a nice day. Quite busy and I had a lot of tasks. And I went
to the Chinese buffet for lunch. I'm actually really looking forward
to my next shift because I've just discovered a chicken and chips
place and I can't wait to check it out. Loser pig oink oink lol

Bought a top too, I'll try to get all my latest hauls up tomorrow.

Until next time, goodbye x

Love at first sight

The age old question: does love at first sight really exist?

Well I can answer that. Yes it does. And how do I know? Because I've
just fallen in love with the dude sitting diagonally opposite from me.
Holy Jesus I want to throw myself at his feet right now!!! I'm going
to stop blogging and staare at him(wish I could take a photo without
being bait!).

karate kid

Just watched the trailer for Karate Kid starring Jaden smith and Jackie Chan.

I'm sure it's a fantastic movie/remake and the fine acting should win a whole shelf of Oscar awards but seriously, I feel old and jaded. The decent thing for the film people to do would be to wait until I am 6 feet under before they remake classics from my youth.

Instead of "wax on wax off'" they have "take off the jacket, put on the jacket, take off the jacket, take on the jacket".

I probably won't watch this simply because I'm not a film watching type person (though I'm sure my film-watching brother will get it on dvd and then i can watch it in the year 3056 lol, in which case i'll do a proper review).

So please, do not mistake this post as a blind remake bashing argh argh argh. It's just me voicing my sadness. No hate no hate.

But.....why doesn't the mum take the boy back to america? If any of you watch it, please let me know!

Beauty tag

Hello :)

I'm so crap, not sure if I've done this tag already, so apologies if I've already done this. But make-up (for me) is an ever-changing thing so there's a few questions that will get different answers if i did do this before.

MAKE-UP tag

-What foundation do you use?
Revlon's photo finish.

-How about concealer?
Laura Mercier. I got it donkey years ago and only getting into using it now. Wrong shade (too light), so great under the eyes.

-Do you know your undertone color?
Nope.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
If it'd legal then why not? lol I brought a pair once, and i did put them on but i felt so stupid i took them off before i got to the end of my street. they did really make my eyes look better though.

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
yes i did. but i will use it for as long as possible. mascara doesn't grow on trees you know!

-What brand of mascara do you use?
i use loads at the same time: covergirl (last blash of course!!), various cliniques, collection 2000 and rimmel. i don't really believe in expensive mascara...but then again, if i paid for one expensive one it'd be cheaper then using 13445 cheap ones!

-Sephora or Ulta?
Only ever been to Sephora so i choose Sephora..but i hope that changes soon!

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I like buying 'tools' but i think fingers and cotton buds are the best! But in the spirit of the question: my mac182 for powder. Eyelash curlers are a must, as are tweezerman tweezers. and i use a toothbrush to comb out my brows, best thing ever!!

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
i only use mascara and eyeliner so i've never needed to use base/primer on my lids....that's not to say that i didnt want primer potion like a mad woman.

-For the face?
i did, used a variety but it wasn't working for me and its only after doing some internet research that i found out that quite a few people are sensitive to the silicone in primer and it breaks them out so i'm not going crazy. i'm glad i know cos at least i can stop throwing money down the drain. there are silicone free primers out there, but looks like i might have to buy online.

-What is your favorite highlight powder?
Interesting question!!! (Because i don't use eyeshadow i'm going to answer this assuming the question means highlight powder for the face....) I've been using a liquid highlighter; both benefits moonbeam and highbeam and i do love it but i have very recently (yesterday in fact) been on a hunt fow a highlight powder. I'm thinking of getting one from 'the makeup store' but wanted to check mac out first, since a small powder was £18 which is a lot considering i've never heard of them before....

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
n/a

-Do you line your eyes?
YES!! Since forver. My first ever foray into make up.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use pencil. If i use liquid i like the one's with a pen nib; HATE those flimsy brushes.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never, i'm a pro. I can line my eyes in a moving vehicle with one hand. omg i bet i'm gonna poke my eyeball when i do my make up tomorrow lol

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
n/a

-Do you use mineral makeup?
i have a few mineral bits and pieces....really not a fan.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
gosh darling.

-How about lipgloss?
i don't really like lipgloss, def not the way a lot of other girls seem to do. i'll use it if i can't find my vaseline! if i use it i prefer a clear or nudey shade. Don't mock but my favourite is from boot's natural collection in a nude. it's actually perfect and it was 3 for a fiver!!! (i got baby pink, which is nice and hot pink too which is yuck).

-What blush on do you use?
i keep trying to use blush but i think that becasue my skin is so bad wearing blush makes me look like i've had an outbreak when i haven't. (i do use bronzer though).

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
not recently but i have. tbh i find buying stuff like that on ebay a bit stressful because a) is it fake? and b) am i getting ripped off? i'd rather get ripped off in-store. at least there's no false expectations!!

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

I love drugstore make up!!! I think that if you want to try something out or if you're new to make up you should definitely try out the cheapy stuff first. I don't mind paying the big bucks for skincare (even though drugstore really is just a good!) but if i'm buying crazy colours or fad make up then i'll always check superdrugs out first.

Wow that was longer then i thought. i could go on forever with the last question but its time to get ready for bed!

so i tag YOU! xxx

Dress doubt

Uh oh. I'm having doubts about my wedding guest dress...

I know I said it was a good thing in my previous post 'search is over
part 1' but now that I've had time to think it over the fact that it
'isn't me' is a problem.

Do I want to spend such a considerable amount of time not 'being me'?
Do I want to look back at photos and no recognise myself?

It's not that I don't like the dress; I still think it's a good dress
to have on my wardrobe but do I want to wear it to the wedding?

What is my style? This is a dificult question to answer. I guess the
mos straightforward answer is "simple". I am a plain safe dresser.
"classic" my mum would say with tendencies towards "girly". I like
playing with shape, and I'm talking about my own shape as well as the
item of clothing.

But anyway, the point is I don't like the dress. It's not black. I
want to wear black. Nuff said.

R told me to be brave and wear it. I say: eff off!!!

I would let my guests wear black to my wedding. In fact, my wedding
dress will probably be black too!

So what now?! Keeping the dress but also keeping my eyes open. Which I
guess means there'll be more dress hunting posts. Argh.

And on a serious note, i want to say that I'm glad that this is the
biggest worry in my life right now!!!

I <3 my blog readers! Ciao :)

(sorry if this post reads disjointed, I started it a few days ago and
just finishing it off without proof reading. Too lazy)

3 blessings

Hello hello hello!

So much to say but not enough time to say it so just a very quick
'count my blessings' post which should give an idea of what posts will
be upcoming!

In no particular order: (I love saying that for some reason, makes me
feel important! Lol)

•thank you for all my amazing friends; for being great but mostly
thankful that you guys put up with me :)
•so glad I got to send today with my cousin, had a great time
(technically his last day in London/uk before he goes back to Thailand
after spending 2 years here)
•thank you credit card for supporting me in my time of need and
getting me primark and lush goodies ;) haul post coming soon!
•thank you cuz for buying 4 bottles of diet coke (even though you
think it's evil) so that I could complete my nails Inc city collection
(yay!!!!)
•I am blessed that I have blessings to list even if usually they are
small and silly...first time I've gone over 3!
•i beat my cuz at pool and my dad was impressed with my skills. Total
fluke but if it means my dad loves me more I won't enlighten him lol
•for food, tons and tons of it at the legend that is wong kei. Dinner
with family is always a blessings.

Going to bed happy happy. I hope you had a happy day too. If u didn't,
try to list 3 blessings and hopefully you'll be surprised that good/
nice things did happy.

Somehow i missed the 300 view mark (yes i am going to celebrate each hundred views til i reach 1 million and then i'll celebrate every thousand views!) but i thought i'd do a 'yay' post anyway.

So just a very quick 'thank you' to everyone who has spent time visiting and reading my blogs.

For those who have been reading from the beginning i hope that you think i am improving; at least i've finally learned how to get pictures up right?! lol

My aims are to keep on blogging; to cover my life, loves, hates, wants and buys. As always, any suggestions or comments are welcomed :)

Quick note: do you like my fake cream pom pom flowers that i bought from wilkinsons? i feel they make the place (my flat, not my blog) a bit more lively :)

Anyway, thanks again and ciao for now x

bmx bandit nails

Whilst i was out food shopping in morrisons
(supermarket) the other day i happened to glance
at the collection 2000 stand and notice a yellow sale sticker in the nail polish section. 89p!!

my palms went sweaty in anticipation as i wondered which godforsaken colour was on sale. what could be so crap that it was now 89p? the answer: bmx bandit.

now firstly, i love collection 2000 polishes, especially the hot looks collection, fabulous formula.

All pics of my nails are with only one coat, and i
was happy as larry but i put on a 2nd coat after
i took the photos and its beautiful.

So....the colour. What do you think? After all my
posts on nude, beige, taupe, mushroom etc
are you shocked to see me with such a, erm,
'interesting' colour?
What colour is this ?Well, i guess its 'periwinkle' so bacsically a blue with a massive dose of lilac [1st and 3rd picture most accurate colour]

I went to work with my periwinkle nails and i got a lot of comments. Someone said it was 'funny' and othe rpeople just stared. Only A said she liked it, but that could be because i've trained her well lol

I'm glad i have this in my collection, everyone needs a range of 'funky' colours and for 89p i'm not complaining!!

GAP Haul

Hi Guys, Just a quick post about my latest purchases from Gap .

I need to add to my 'summer' tops (what bloody summer? I'm back in my winter coat!!)

So, i got a light cardi, what I'd consider my [pictured right ---> ]summer cardi once i roll up the sleeves.

Its a nice pretty pink/blush colour so its not black but not neon pink so i'm happy. I'm thinking blue skinny jeans, the white top with the lil pom pom's
and nude shoes and nails.

My other buy was [pictured right] was this sleeveless smocky top. It's got thin stripes, a very light bluey grey and white. If i was skinnier then i could wear this with leggings. But alas i'm not skinny enough so i'll wear it with skinny jeans pumps and a navy frilly 'summer' cardi i have. I was uming and ahing over this top for a couple of weeks and then finally decided to get it since it fit (yeah i look like a pregnant elephant but whatever!) but not really loving it......i think if i wear it on public transport i'l be offered a seat lol

Top 3 cleaning/home products

I'm on a roll today!

I said i'd do this donkey years ago so finally here it is: my top 3 cleaning/home products (yeah...i know it was meant to be top 5 but.....)

In no particular order....

Above is the damp trap. Purchased at the 99p store (for 99p!!!!!!) this is great if you've got a damp problem in your home. And it's super easy to use: pop the plastic lid off (comes in a variety of colours, obv i chose pink), peel off the foil layer and leave the paper layer. In the tub itself theres....something! and it sucks the moisture out the air. You know the damp tramp is 'finished' when its full off water rather then the 'something'. I first bought one to test it out and then i went back and brought 9 more (i would have got more but they only had 9) after hunting it for ages.

Next up [pictured above] we have 1001 trouble shooter. FANTASTIC!!!! fanbloodytastic. This has saved my life many-a-time. I brought this simply because it was cheaper then the branded stuff (can't remember the price...got it from wilkinsons...i'm guess under £3) and wow. Since i've lived here i've had a few accidents and if you've read my very very early blogs you'll know i live in a white/cream/beige box. One really bad accident was when i knocked over a bottle of bright purple nail polish in the middle of my living room carpet (which is cream) and this was in the first few weeks of buying the place. I nearly threw up there and then i was bloody pissssssssed off. I don't know how i stayed so calm but i went to my under-sink cupboard where i keep my cleaning supplies and then followed the instructions on the spray bottle. It cleared it up, i can't even point out to you where the stain was! MIRACLE WORKER!!!

And finally we have the sponge eraser [pictured above]. This is a simply yet effective addition to my cleaning supplies. Available from both 99p store or Poundland if you're feeling rich this product does what it says on the box. it erases things!! If this product was £4 i would not be recommending it, use a sponge and some elbow grease you lazy cow, but for 99p why not splash out and make cleaning up a tiny bit easier?

I like to use this on my cooker top and also to clean my walls. I know that sounds weird but i keep scraping my walls with bags and even my nails and then i end up with dark smudges or whatever nail polish im wearing across the wall, so what i do is tear off a small piece of sponge, wet it and erase the mark. Done in seconds. Love ya sponge eraser!

If you've just set up home i hope you found it useful. Cleaning products aren't fun to write or read about i know, but i find these honest opinions really useful. There is so much choice nowadays it can get quite confusing in the aisles!

If you want to tell me you're top 3 then comment below xxx

The search is over part 2

The search is over part 2.....and i lied. The search is not over. And if you're unfamiliar with my life/blog then basically i've been on a nail varnish hunt (please see older posts for more info and pictures).

I am still on the search for beanie, beige style and eyeko's posh polish but at the moment i'm feeling pretty placated.

So after the success in matalan i was feeling pretty joyful and when i saw that boots was still open (10minutes till closing!) I ran in and homed in on the no7 section - no beanie :( I then ran to the rimmel section - no beige style (NB: My apologies, i think that, even though both boots and superdrugs stock rimmel, it seems that beige style is an exclusive colour to superdrugs...i might be wrong though...)

I then went to leave the store when i saw a stand- alone section of more no7 products. Adrenaline pumping i approached the stand and a quick once over confirmed that there was no beanie but i saw nail polish and the word 'exclusive' so i took a closer look and bam i fell in like with "60's mini skirt" [£6.75 -pictured below]which is a anniversary colour, part of the No7 Decades collection.

Here's what the Boots website says:
"To mark 75 years of bringing the latest make-up looks and colour to the high street, No7 and No7 creative director and make-up artist, Lisa Eldridge, have developed the limited edition No7 Decades Collection.
Celebrating seven decades of beautiful colour, it comprises of the most iconic eye shadow, lipgloss and nail colours from the forties to the noughties, as well as a hero compact containing everything you need to create a fabulously modern No7 look.
As part of the limited edition collection; No7 is re-releasing the most iconic nail colours of the past seven decades."

Please note that in all pictures my nails are unpainted *gasp!*I only swatched afterwards.

[Above: Boots No7 in 60's mini skirt, £6.75]

As you can see from the pic 60's mini skirt is a creamy erm cream. Despite the bad photo it's actually pretty true to life. I've just painted my left hand and i must say, i'm not impressed. The first cause of my disappointment is my own thought; i thought it would be more...more more!! But like i said, it's exactly as it looks like. The second disappointment is due to the consistency of the polish itself. I've never had a No7 nail polish and i must say, if they are all like this then i think i'll skip beanie!! First coat was yuck but it says 2 coats so i applied a second and its still streaky in places and then too thick in others. To be fair, from my experience with nail colours the creamy matt colours do tend to be more difficult so it could be that. I will give it another chance though becasue if i can get this nice and smooth it is a gorgeoius colour and perfect for the lighter days.

[Above: Nails inc in 'london']

Next up we have nails inc in 'london'. And what is extra special about this? I got it FREE by buying two bottles of diet coke!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!! As i was about to pay for my 60's mini skirt i passed a massive stand of nails inc and saw the promo and i nearly died right there and then. But lucky i didn't die, i got my mum to grab 4 bottles of diet coke and i picked up london and my mum got paris (it's one offer per customer otherwise i would have got 50!)

'london' is gorgeous. it's nails inc so needless to say the formulation is amazing, absolutely beautiful. colour-wise i thought it'd be taupe (wishful thinking?!); it's decribed as a nude but i'd say mink?Might not go with all skin tones but if you like the colour definitely get it!

Below we have 'paris' which my mum got. She wanted the red ('milan') or the hot pink ('new york') but i pointed out she already as nails inc in red and pink (might not be milan or new york but it can't be that different - i'm not crazy or wasteful)

The two photo's i took are awful. The colour is nothing like that. But if you take a look at the last picture then you can see the true colour pay off.

[Above and below: Nails inc in 'paris' - trying to get a true picture - no luck]

[Above: picture taken from website L-R london, paris, new york and milan]

The search is over!! part 1

Hello guys!

Well this has been the best Sunday ever - very successful shopping trip. Think quality over quantity though cos i didn't get much but i got everything i wanted.

So without futher ado.......I GOT MY WEDDING GUEST DRESS!!!!! I saw it and i knew. It's totally not me in terms of style or print, or colour-way but I think it's right for the occasion and I'd rather look the part then wear the type of stuff i like wearing and look out of place.

(sorry i don't know how to rotate!) (dress: £16 from matalan, not available online)

(the bottom of the dress)

S0 as you can see it's a print dress and it's got orange, mustard, navy, purple and cream in it. I don't think I've ever owned anything with so many colours in it before but like i said, as soon as i saw it i knew that (if it fit me) this was the one for me.

The first thing, surprising was the colour. Though its got many colours in it, at a glance i would say it was orange and purple/blue and as the wedding colour is orange i thought that at least i'd fit in with the decor lol Also, i often suffer from being a bit of a wallflower, i am a plain jane and usually i'm not bothered but since this is the first wedding i've ever been to and the bride is so special to me and my family i thought i'd get a happy and bright dress.

Style wise the sleeves are good. An inch longer would make it perfect but it's totally fine as it is and i do not need a cardiga, shrug, shawl etc unless there's a freak snow storm.

Length ....this is the only sticking point. I hope you can see from the pics but it's got an 'n' shape hem line (sorry thats the only way i can think to describe it!). And the shortest bit of the skirt is nearly mid-thigh and yes you can see my fat knees :( However, the long bits of hem on either side (the back is also 'n' shaped)reach just past my knees, and though they do not cover anything they do give the illusion of length and also when i have it on, because i can feel fabric around my knees it doesnt feel so short......hope that makes sense!!!

I look like a bit fat pasty dough ball in the dress but *shrugs* it's not a bloody miracle worker lol

So all in all i am happy and if i find something i like more then no worries i can have both since the price for this was so so reasonable aka dirt cheap and i'm happy that it's not overly dressy (like a prom dress) cos i can wear it to fancy garden parties aka bbq's.

So what i need now are shoes and maybe a clutch/lil bag. Shoes I definitely want in tan (or that colour family). Nail varnish I'm either doing coral, orange or something from the beige family - look out for a blog on that! And then bag....this is a toughie for me. I am a big bag girl. If i had it my way and had stronger bi/triceps then i would use a suitcase as a handbag. I wouldnt mind a clutch but it would have to be a giant sized clutch and definitely tan or black, i want this to be an investment (at hopefully not an investment price!)

My other bugbear is jewellry. I'm allergic to just about everything so jewellry is a no-no for me but i would love to wear a million gold bangles up my arm and some big earrings. At best I might have to settle for some wooden bracelets but i don't want to look too safari chic!

My question to you: Is a big handbag ok for a party enviroment?
Please comment below :)

Hope you like the dress....uh oh i'm having second thoughts...is it too casual?!!!!

mini paperchase haul

On my way out so just a quick haul from my paperchase visit.

I've been looking for a pretty first aid box for ages (since I moved in) and I've always had the image of what i wanted in my head. Finally yesterday I gave up and just got something else.

The weird thing is, when i went onto the paperchase site to get an image to show you what i bought i saw the first aid tin that i actually really really want. But i can't be bothered to return in-store and then purchase on line so I'm sticking with my lame-arse box. But i must say, I AM GUTTED. FFS.

This is what i was picturing in my head:
And this is what i actually purchased....I hope you can understand where i was going with the colour theme. And yeah, that is a manky gift box. *sad face*

In my defense, when i googled 'first aid box, first aid tin etc' it never offered up this paperchase gem, i kept getting retro tins which were 20-odd quid.

ARGH

Ok, and then i also bought a white metal letter tray/holder which for some reason does not exist on the site. I'll put up my own pic later. But i've been eyeing this for ages (so much so that when i paid for it the dude said "finally getting it then?") so even though it was £8.75 when i could just dump it on the hall table i am happy.

Saturday

Oh shite I am late. And no, I didn't paint my nails. I've got 11 stops
to go and i start work in 14 mins. Argh pissed off with myself :(

....hello! It's 10:21pm now and I'm on the bus going through the
strand, destination home via liverpool street tube.

It's been a nice busy day. I was neary 15 mins late, that's two
saturdays in a row so I really need to redeem myself next week.

Day at work was a bit slow but loads of customers = loads of tidying
so that passed the time. Plus I had to disappear for a bit to get
presents for a supervisor who's leaving the company and the country. I
love paperchase! And apart from the pressies, I got myself two things
which I'll blog about in separate haul.

After work we went nandos, was there from 6:30 til 10:15pm; I sure
made use of the refillable drinks!!! Lol it was great fun and good to
see all the faces I don't often see.

That was my day, hope u had a nice Saturday x

even better

Just did the 'foundation test' on clinique.co.uk and it says my perfect foundation would be 'even better' which is great since that's my favourite. I feel like i've passed a big exam or something.

Today has been a nice day despite the lack of daytime telly. I've discovered an american show called "the beautiful life" (show got cut after 6 episodes) and i'm watching it via youtube. Sure, no one's going to win an oscar but its a good show to pass the time. Follows the life of models in new york. Makes me hungry watching the skinny people walk around.

Tallking about food, randomly my mum and bro popped round for 5 minutes to drop off my newly laundered bedsheets and some duck (ready cooked). I'm going to have some for dinner now-ish and the rest on Sunday.

Saturday's plan have been told to me by L on the phone. After work we're going to nando's for a leaving do and to haha's for birthday drinks. My promise to myself is that no matter how sunny it is in the morning I'm going to wear a winter coat so that i'm warm on the way home. Just about getting better so don't want to risk anything.

I want to get into bed around 8:30pm so i think its time to start dinner.

Hope everyone is having a fun friday and may you all have a brilliant weekend x

UPDATE: 8:14pm
Dinner was delicious! I made a duck noodle soup in the end (erm, well "made" might be a slight exaggeration since the duck was cooked and the noodle came out of a packet and the soup was tap water mixed with powder out of a sachet lol)

I've washed a ton of dishes and my hands feel like shedded snake skin.

All i really need to do now is hang my washing out to dry. Do need to paint my finger nails for tomorrow but no idea what i'm wearing so gonna hold fire (which means i won't be painting my nails tomorrow cos i'll probably be running late argh - not late late but not enough spare time to fraff around with nail polish - put that in so L won't murder me.)

Ok, goodnight again!
