New shoes - New Look nude patent mid block heel with ankle strap

New shoes :)

I had a New Look gift voucher so I spent it on these beauties. They were £8 on sale!!!!!!!
They are a gorgeous pair of nude patent mid block heel with detachable ankle strap.

They are gorgeous. They'd be great for a party type event I'm sure but of course I wear mine to work.
The mid block heel and ankle strap makes it perfect for commuting and prancing around the office (or taking selfies in the toilets).

New year, new shoes! Asos shoe haul

I made an asos order and it's arrived. There was a note in my post box saying my parcel had been left under the doormat. Is this guy making fun out of me!?!?! LOL

I ordered two pairs of shoes, and a pair of boots. I ended up selling on the boots to SF, returning the gold tip shoes, and keeping the tassel loafers. No I was not drunk when making my decision!!!

So the tan cutout boots are actually from Newlook but purchased off of the ASOS website (on a side note, I love that Asos Curve sell Newlook's Inspire range) - I love them but I really didn't need them. I was ready to send them back when SF also fell in love with them. £14.50 in the sale. I wish I had kept them, but since they aren't really suitable for work and I don't leave the house on the weekend I had to make the mature choice and say goodbye!!!

Next pair of shoes were ASOS brand and they were the gold tipped loafer. My friends think I am going mad, but I know what I was thinking. They were in the sale for £25 and I would have totally kept them but they were so narrow I nearly lost consciousness when trying them on!!! Goodbye funky shoes!

Finally! I found my 'solemate' lol

Black slighty shiny (not patent, but that proper fake leather, you know what I'm saying?) loafers with a fun tassel. Asos brand and £22 in the sale. They are really comfortable. And again my friends laugh at me but I really wanted a flat shoe that wasn't a pump.

Apologies for the terrible quality picture but here's me dancing around on my furry carpet. These shoes aren't pretty but they make me happy :)

Outfits of the Week

Hi Guys,

Just a few more outfit of the days - even though it's not super hot anymore it's still dress down at work (tomorrow will be the start of week 3 of dress down - I feel like a student again!).

First up - what a horrid look - literally my face is urgh! But oh well. I'm wearing my newlook inspire neon heart t shirt with my dorothy perkins light bleach eden jeggings. Got some old primark gladiator white and gold sandals on my feet and my new favourite bag. I think this was the most casual I've ever been apart from pj's, 

I really like this outfit - I'm wearing denim so it is dress down but I'm also wearing a lace peplum top so I still feel like 'me'. The jeans are from Very and top is from asos curve (£12.50 in the sale). Paired with nude primark ballet pumps and my new favourite bag again. 

I also liked this outfit; it was really comfortable but still quite 'nice'. Grey skinnies from Very, black dip hem t shirt from Very, red shoes from Zara. 

Here's a close up of my two new favourite items - both gifted by my mummy.

Light tan bag from accessorise - rrp £40 but my mum got it for £6!!!When she gave me this I really didn't like it but once I carried it I haven't switched out bags since.

Red stud shoes with cut out sides and ankle strap (squashed under bag) - what's not to love? Zara and my mum got them for £7.99 in the sale!!!!!!!!!

This is me doing casual bling lol Converse (omg these need their own post!), eden jeans and an oversized t shirt from asos with giant sparkly gems on the shoulders.

Images above and below same OOTD (obviously) - This is my go to when it's over 24 degrees. I know it looks like a lot of black but I can't be wearing hot pants so I like this. Black maxi skirt with slit from Primark, top from H&M (I think it was £3!) and my old primark sandals. 

And I end this post with a boring shot of my primark nude pumps (£4) - I love them.

I'm trying hard not to buy 13442 pairs. 

Shoes shoes shoes

Just a quick post on my new shoes :)
I attended a wedding at short notice and purchased these three pairs of shoes one day before the wedding.

[Above - Newlook £19.99]
These are the shoes I actually wore to the wedding but they were actually the pair I liked the least and I was going to return them. But after putting on my last minute.com outfit these shoes looked decent on, and they were comfortable. And the fact they were the cheapest out of the three was a bonus! These shoes don't photograph very well - suede, block heel, small platform, open toed and strappy. And there's the key word strappy. That was my aim when I was making my mad dash around Westfields - straps!

Next up we have these shoes from Clarks. They look much less boring in real life (I promise!) These were the ones I was going to wear but I got into a fizzle and ended up with the wrong size. I started with size 7d. But then got home and remembered that Clarkes do a wider fit. So exchanged them for a 7e. But they were too big. So changed them for a 6.5e. But these were too small. But by then it was too late. Store closed. It was like a tiring bad game of pass the parcel. So I really wanted to wear these but due to my indecisiveness it was a no go. I was really tempted to squeeze my trotters into them but I didn't want to be stuck with a pair of £49.99 shoes that I would never wear again. Refunded.

Ok so these are some boring bog standard granny court shoes but they are exactly what my shoe wardrobe were missing and there is something special about them....

Look at the picture again....that's not just a court shoe you can see. The other pair is a mary jane. Yes!!!! 2 in 1 shoes!!! M&S call these their convertible shoes and I love the idea (you can push back or pull forward the strap - it's not one shoe in each style lmao). I am awful at walking in anything with a slight heel which is why I got so many strap shoes. But at the same time my chunky leg doesn't always suit a strap. With this shoe I can mary jane it when walking around and then court shoe it up when I'm just posing around.

I haven't worn this yet but I think it's a good price for a comfortable heel in a classic style. Perfect for work and funerals.

Before I start I thought I'd just show you my current coat that I've been wearing.

Coat:
It is actually from Newlook and it was £50 last year. It came with a ugly ribbon corsage type thing which I binned as soon as I cut the price tag off. But anyway, I love this because I'm always losing the buttons off my tops and coats, even my jeans and dresses. I guess I'm just too fat, too strong and too clumsy!

I don't know if you can see clearly in the pic, but basically the coat is like a dressing gown style. I 'fasten' the coat by pulling it together and securing it with the tie-belt. I think it's really cute and 'jaunty' and it gives me a nice shape from the front, but I admit that the only downfall is the side profile...I look like a pregnant whale. But oh well, at least I get a seat on public transport ;)

....So anyway.....continuation from my lunchtime browse...and before I start, what's up with my new pose?! lol Hand on hip. FIERCE lol

Dress 1:

This is a dress from the Pearl Lowe range at Peacocks and RRP is £30. It is gorgeous and flattering. It is extremely see-through but my obsession with slips sorts that problem out! In the photo I've got it on with skinny jeans, and I guess it looks all right, but personally I'd wear this bare legged or with opaques, and pumps or heels.

I usually like short or quarter sleeved items, or I usually roll/push my sleeves up but with this dress I wouldnt touch the sleeves. Gorgeous. Perfect proportions.

I really really want this. I think it might be a bit OTT for work...though that doesn't usually stop me ;) but the only problem is that it is handwash only and I HATE handwash only. I would stick it in the washing machine on the handwash cycle but I hate doing it knowing that my dress might come out barbie-sized any wash, might be the 1st wash, but be the 100th. I hate the suspense!!!

Dress 2:


This is simple aka boring but a throw on dress that every girl needs in her wardrobe. The RRP is £14 and the colour here is described as 'natural', slightly darker in real life then as represented in the photo. It does come in black also, but not in stock in my size but I actually like this colour. Not sure if it's a good colour on me but I don't care, I want both dresses!

Peacocks website has a current promo, 10% off all everything, and free delivery if order is more than £30, so if I ordered both dresses.......30+14=44 - 10% = £39.60......ARGH I need to win the lottery!!!

Hey Guys,

So the other day I spent my lunchtime doing a bit of browsing (I was looking for a plain black handbag umbrella; Tiger £3 - sorted!)

I've got a 20% off voucher for Newlook so these three coats are all from there and all range between £44.99-£49.99....I think! I didn't buy anything...as of yet......what do you think?

Coat 1:

I love this!! A charcoal grey cape/coat with duffle details and a belt. The material I would say is felt-like...not thick but I'd rather look amazing then be warm lol

Anyone who knows me could probably imagine how much I love this coat. I love the cape look. I've already got 2 capes and 1 cape coat though so this would be a totally unnecessary purchase....

I like the duffle detail because my other cape coat has a slight military feel with gold buttons; the only con about this is that it's really short on me.

Coat 2:



I'll be honest, I picked up coat 2 as a bit of a joke. It's a bit overly fussy for me but I have fallen head over heels for it.

The bottom is frilly and layered, and it has a detachable furry collar with brooch - how much more girly can we get? And if I brought this it would actually be one of the more practical coats I own - a lot of my coats have elbow sleeves or are short or have a deep V so even though this looks lame at least my butt, chest and wrists will be warm!!! lol

And even though it's double breasted (which I usually try to avoid) it's not a bad fit. It's a tiny bit tight across the chest area...do you think it looks bad? Please be honest. If you think it's a bad fit then just comment below saying 'sausage'!!! (It's the biggest size so please don't tell me to go a size up!)

Coat 3:



This coat is from New Look's Inspire range (what a stupid name for the fat section). Initially, prior to blogging I wasn't that keen on this coat, it's not very me, but after loading up the pics and thinking about it I think I quite like this.

Anyway, I like it, it's practical but the snood gives it a slight twist. As with coat 2 this would make a good addition to my current coats as it'll actually keep me warm (and my hair dry!)

It's describe online as a snood coat...so was I suppose to put the snood up or not?! I'm really confused, I don't want people pointing and laughing at me - i look like an astronaut lol!!

So that's the 3 coats I tried on at Newlook, and I want them ALL. What do you guys think?
