Post 301!
Just a mega quick post to say - I'm not MIA again!
I am here. I did my "Walk 10" yesterday. Will blog and post pics from the event very soon.
Also got a ASOS haul to do...I like how i always make it sound as if my hauls were delivered to me by santa claus.
Got paid the Friday just gone and I'm still overdrawn so no more hauls, food, water, electricity or...anything...for a long while. Thank god air is free of charge. But the quality sucks so it's damn right they don't charge us for it!! LOL
Ok my lovelies, I hope you've all had a blessed weekend.
Goodnight xxx

Challenge - Day 25: My day, in great detail
I caught the bus to work (2 bus stops - are you judging me?) I got to work and logged onto my PC. I checked my emails and my manager emails (he was out today). I just answered some, sent some and did some online reading.
At 10:45 I went took part in a telekit (meeting over the phone), we have one every month and one face-to-face meeting every quarter, October should be a trip out of the office for me.
This was over by about 12:20pm (long!) and then I typed up what happened so my managers would know.
At 1pm I went to lunch with my friend L (boy L). We went to Yoe Bo the chinese buffet. It was yummy.
Got back to the office at 2pm where I got to work with my marker pens and post it notes. I'm currently working on a project and am just at the beginning of what will be a loooooong journey. I did that til the end of day basically.
(Sorry - I just realised this probably isn't much detail but a) it was nothing fun and b) my job is both technical and confidential so it's difficult to go into detail.)
So anyway, 5:15pm I left the office, had a long gossip with my friendand walked on. On my way I popped into Argos with the aim to buy cheap earphones for penny pod. I did get the earphones for the bargain price of about £2.50 but I ended up buying a curling wand too! (Will blog about that purchase once I use it - wish me luck!).
Erm, so i got home about 6:20pm, went to the loo, took out my lenses and changed into my 'home clothes'. Poured myself a large dilute orange drink and dumped myself on the sofa with my laptop. Watched the end of Project Catwalk (girl crush on Henley!) and then at 7pm I watched my fav CSI. Would have watched the 2nd one at 8pm but after 2 minutes I realised I'd seen it already so swtiched to How to look good naked. I hate Shona. Smug fat cow.
Anyway, I 'cooked' and ate dinner while CSI was on. I had mash potato (instant), bisto gravy, and well, basically christmas food I found at the bottom of my freezer! Canape sausage wrapped in bacon, and chicken and stuffing on a stick. Sounds a bit nasty but was actually the best dinner I've eaten in my home for a long time. Considering I sometimes eat a tin of sweetcorn for dinner it's not shocking lol
Erm, oh, and I also did a few blog posts of course :)
Challenge - Day 24: Whatever tickles my fancy
If I was to describe myself in one word, that word would be.......contradictory.
Those who know me know that the only thing that is certain is that they don't really know me. I don't even know myself. Even if I was asked to describe myself in 100 words I would probably struggle.
I am hot. Cold. Sweet. A bitch. Clever. Stupid. Naive. Crafty. Loving. Distant.
I'm just me. I know that everyone is multi-faceted (I love how close that is to multi-faced), but I think I tend to swing from extreme to extreme. I am a bit like a faulty tap, either boiling hot or freezing cold. Never warm.
Challenge - Day 23: A YouTube video
I wouldn't describe it as my 'favourite' video, but this is a video that really touched my heart when I watched it and I thought it was inspiring.
I actually posted this video on my page before but here it is again:
It's the coming out story of youtuber 'gregorygorgeous'. I subbed to greg initially ages ago because he is a make up guru, as well as doing comedy
and lifestyle type vlogs. He is quite 'out there' and flamboyant, and he is only a young boy still at the end of the day. So this video really is great
because he made it and because of the story he tells.
Challenge - Day 22: A website
It takes the funny, stupid, offensive, and of course lame status's (also photo's, comments, likes, profiles etc) from people's facebook and shares it with the world.
Some examples are:
"If I had a tampon in, the string would be longer than this dress".
"Albert is ready to have sex. FOR THE FIRST TIME. Hope my butthole is ready".
"I don't know why everyone calls me a slut. I can count the number of guys I slept with on one hand." And then her 'friend' left her a comment saying, "Yeah. If that hand was holding a calculator".
If you're in need of a laugh, go to lamebook.com!
Back in business!
I'n so sorry ive been awol for so long. Ive really missed blogging and
i hope you've missed me too ;) Ive been feeling a bit blah recently
and couldnt summon up the energy to blog, which i know sounds weird
but *shrugs* weird is me all over isnt it!!
So officially i hang my head in shame. If the blog challenge was a
real contest i would have been kicked out but since this is my blog we
play by my rules here so i will finish off days 22-30.
Ive got a few hauls and reviews to do too so hopefully that will get
me back into the swing of things.
Ok, time to get back into the horse (is that the right expression?!)
See u in a mo! X

Challenge - Day 21: A recipe
How shall I spin this one then? I think that I am going to think about what I would like to be able to cook in the near future, google it, share it with you, and then hopefully update you on my efforts.
So I've chosen a recipe for chunky fish cakes. Initially I was googling thai fish cakes but all the recipes looked a bit complicated and the ingredients pricey so I've settled for this:
"Lemon SalmonFishcakes Recipe"
Ingredients
- 900g white potatoes, roughly diced
- 418g can Alaskan red salmon, drained and any bones discarded
- Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon, plus lemon wedges to serve
- 3 tbsp light mayonnaise, plus extra to serve
- Bunch of spring onions, chopped
- Flour, for dusting
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Looks simple enough right? And hopefully no risk of food poisoning haha!!!

Challenge - Day 20: A hobby of mine
I removed the view counter off my page because it was logging every single bloody click so even when i updated my blog it counted about 234542 views. So sadly I'm not on the 891 it said but 591 - so another long way to go before I can do my 1000 view competition :( Nevermind.
So today's challenge is to blog about a hobby of mine and we all know this is going to be short.
My hobby is reading. I love reading because it allows me to be transported through different lives, times and places without leaving my home and to me that's more than enough for me!
The End ;)

Challenge - Day 19: A talent of mine
Erm, a talent of mine?
I would say that "I can play the violin" but to be honest I don't really see being able to play a musical instrument as a talent - I was taught. I can play several instruments, just about all bar woodwind, but that is because I applied what I learned with my first instrument (violin) and applied it to everything else.
Not sure if that made much sense; this is what wikipedia defines a talent as and which is what I wish I had said:
"Talent is generally considered to be an innate, personal gift possessed by relatively few people. In essence, someone with talent has an aptitude to do certain things.
Talent (in the sense of natural ability or giftedness) is not the same as skill, which is a learned process, and one which is enhanced or inhibited by an underlying talent."Therefore I would say the musical stuff is a skill, BUT I am not denying that for some people, there musical stuff is a talent.
So back to the main question, what is my talent?
I don't think I have one :S I'm trying to think of all the stuff I'm good at and I can't really get beyond a) the talent vs skill debate and b) all my good stuff involves my interaction with other people, does that count?!
I think this might keep me awake for a few nights and hopefully I will have a solid answer to this one day lol
Challenge - Day 18: Whatever tickles my fancy = HAUL!
Not long to go til the end of my 30 days! Today's (well, yesterday's) challenge is whatever tickles my fancy so I'm going back to my roots and I'll be talking about lipgloss :)
I went to Tesco's to buy groceries and was on the way to the checkout when i passed the magazines....FREE GIFTS YAAAAAAY!! So I picked up two magazines purely for the free gift. I got Shout magazine, which is a fortnightly magazine aimed at teenage girls. It came with an extra free mini mag with a million Justin Bieber posters and quizzes in it - but that's not the free gift I was after!!! LOL It was the 3 Barry M 'glossy tubes' that caught my eye. The magazine was £3 so I basically got a normal sized lip gloss for £1 each. I also got 2 free sweeties, very random but whatever, free is free!
I was very pleasantly surprised when I swatched the lipglosses. I'm not actually a fan of tinted/coloured gloss, I like clear or nube but these are actually very good. I would even go as far as saying that when I run out I would actually purchase one.
The colours were a hot pink, a pearly pinky nude and an orange. All are absoultely lovely but obviously by fav is the nudey pink. They'd also be nice over lipstick. Not too shiny or sticky.
The second magazine I brought was less embarassing, no mention of Justin Bieber whatsoever; Instyle. This was £3.60 and to be honest what a waste of money, lucky I could actually read the mag otherwise i'd be throwing a big hissy fit.
The free gift was a bodyshop lip/cheek stain. There was 1 stain supplied per mag and I'm so happy I didn't buy two mags so that I'd have both available colours (which the mag said was worth £19.50 for both). The two available colours were rose pink and bronze glimmer; I choose the bronze glimmer because the rose pink looked like benefit's benetint which I already have (and also not a fan of). Maybe I'm just not a lip/cheek stain type of person.

Challenge - Day 17: An art piece
An art piece...my favourite? Something that inspires me? Makes me cry? Makes me happy? Another big scope topic *scratching head as I think*
This is difficult cos I'm not an art lover. I appreciate art that looks good but any idiot can like a pretty thing. Trying to rack my brain and think of an art piece that has revolutionised my life....I'm almost tempted to write about a handbag, to me that is a real piece of art!
....my favourite piece of art is a painting by vincent van gogh of a blossoming almond tree.
And there you go! I wish I could talk about something that was more intellectual but like I said, pretty is enough for me!!

Before I start, please donate to the marie curie cancer care charity.
I will be walking 10k!!

Been a crazy few days so no challenge posts have been done so let me
just get down to it:
Day 13: A fictional book
Title doesn't give much info about why it wants from me so I'm
assuming the scope is huge and I can say whatever so I'm going to talk
about an embarassing fictional book I love love love called 'Talking
to Addison" by Jenny Colgan.
It's pure guilty pleasure chick lit stuff. The book itself is
physically 'mash up' -the spine is so creased it's white cos all the
colour has come off it.
It does it's job of a typical chick lit book - it's quick to read,
easy to follow the story line, most of the characters are people you
know (a part from Addison who is weird in the nicest way) and my fav
thing about this book is the main character. Her life is a bit...well
crap really and she knows it but she's ok enough. I think I identify
with her haha The book is really funny and when you just want to relax
it's great to pick up.
Day 14: A non fictional book
This is so random and I hope it counts but a non fictional book I
enjoyed was the wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's biography (2000).
I only read it because my brother had brought it and i saw it laying
around, I picked it up, had a flick through and before I knew it I was
hooked.
Day 15: a fanfic
To those who don't know a fanfic is basically a fictional story made
up by a fan. These can be wonderfully imaginative and intricate but I
have no imagination or time so let me tell you a quick story:
One day there was a amazingly wonderful and gorgeous girl called
Penny. One day Penny went to LA to get a real suntan and do loads of
shopping. After a hard day of shopping she decided to have lunch at
the Olive Garden. Halfway through her chicken salad (hey- it's
fiction, I can make penny healthy if I want!!) a waiter came over to
her table with a laden tray and said "sorry madam but the gentleman
over there asked me to bring you this" and he placed down the tray
which had on it all the YSL rogue volupte lipsticks, a bottle of diet
coke, and a pair of glass slippers.
Penny was shocked at all the things on her table and looked in the
direction the waiter had pointed at and there in a corner was a young
tanned man with shiny white teeth. Oh, and he had no shirt on and had
a gleaming rock hard 8pack.
"wow", thought penny, "hubba bubba". She thought it would be polite to
go over to say thanks for her gifts so she picked up the tray and
sasheyed over.
"hi there, thanks for these. I'm penny by the way", she said to the
handsome stranger.
"you're welcome penny. I just saw you and I've fallen head over heels
in love with you. Please try on the glass slipper. If it fits I will
marry you and make sure we live happily ever after"
"oh", said penny a bit taken aback at the sudden proposal but used to
everyone falling in love with her, "well, before I try on the slipper
can I know your name?".
"of course! How rude of me!", said the handsome stranger, "I'm Taylor
lautner".
"are you old enough to get married Taylor? you look awfully young."
asked penny
"I am legal, I'm 18years old and 5 months old" replied Taylor.
And so penny tried on the slipper and it fit and they got married the
following week (in Vegas) and as he promised they are living happily
ever after.
The end!!
Day 16: a song that makes me cry (or nearly makes me cry)
A song that makes me cry - there's so many!!! Tears in heaven by eric
Clapton pulls at my heart strings as h wrote the song for his young
dead son. Also one sweet day by mariah Carey and boyziimen because the
lyrics are so so sad and I live my life hoping that the people I care
about know how special they are to me, because one sweet day is too
late.
