Ketchup

Hello hello!

Ketchup = catch up!

Apologies as always for being awol. A combination of just being busy/lazy and also the lack of a proper phone (i.e. no phone camera = no pictures) is just not motivating me at all.

Well, counting down the days til MArch 9th aka upgrade day!!!!!! I've wanted an iphone of some description for my whole life (well, whenever the iphone came out) but now that d-day is approaching I don't know what I want now. Confused! But I am looking forward to it. my pink plastic toy phone is not fun or easy to use.

So anyway, I am now back at my normal office. New job role, same team as when I was in Sutton. Love the team and I think I love the job (but I've only done one day of it so....!) Believe it or not I really really loved Sutton; the only downside was the travelling and apart from the odd hissy fit it wasn;t so bad.....saying that, I do love not having to commute!!!!

Now I am back I am back in my heels and I'm so unused to wearing them that I am just clunking around all through the building. Not atttractive at all, but hopefully practise makes perfect!

As I made you aware, I got my hair cut and I still don't like it (the shape_. However, I don't know if it's the cut or something else but the texture of my hair is totally different - it's no longer as hay-like and not as badly tangled after I've washed it so it's quicker to do in the morning. But the shape means that I'm finding it hard to style - I don't know what to do with it and I think it makes my fat face look even rounder.

Talking about my round face - I've broken out really badly. Sudocream is working overtime but it can only help so much. It's making me quite sad. My greasy hair and greasy face. I'm just so bleugh. Beautiful on the inside right? KMT lol

I'm battling my spending demons every single second. And it's friggin hard. I spend hours online shopping and then basket dumping. Spend ages in drugstores sticking make up in my basket and dumping it (another great thing about being back at my home office - no rushing for trains!) I've managed to control myself so far but I am being slightly naughty and bulk buying soap and body wash (yes I am weird) and I've probably spent about £60 this year. But at least I will use it up eventually as opposed to hoarding blusher for the next decade!!

Erm, I think thats it for me.

I hope you have all been well :)

I won't make a fake promise and say I'll post loads but I do promise that once I've got a decent phone I will make up for this drought :)

xoxo

Pots and Pans

Having an exciting Sunday afternoon rearranging my kitchen cupboards(!) And worryingly this is probably going to be the most exciting part of my day. The rest of the day will consist of cleaning the floors, hoovering and doing the laundry. If I have time I also have some sewing to do.

I'm actually finding this quite relaxing though and it is fun in a weird way. Penny Palace is still relatively new to me; this is the first rearranging of cupboards I've done since I've lived here.
It's interesting to see all of the kitchen stuff I initially brought and haven't used. I've got about 50 graters and sieves for some reason.

I am really bad at putting things away once I've used them and also putting lids onto things. This applies to nearly everything. It makes house keeping bloody hard. Everything is everywhere. But saying that, it's organised mess, I don't usually misplace things. My bad habit might be a problem if I lived with someone else though. But I don't so it's all gravy :)

Er, what's the point of this post? NOthing really, just taking a break from the pots and pans lol

OMG I want this!

I had a nightmare the other day - my hairdryer broke!I woke up in a cold sweat and with a feeling of dread hanging over me. I have had my hairdryer for years, probably more than 5 years! I love it and I live (and obviously sleep) in fear that it will break mid blow dry.

So I've decided to prepare myself and start looking for a replacement. My must-have requirement is regarding the wattage, I want a minimum of 2200 watts.

I've been looking around online and I've come across this:

The Babyliss Bellissimo - the Ferrari of hairdryers supposedly with 2400w! On the official babyliss page it's showing only Boots as a supplier and it's £51.05 on the Boots website. Pricey. I was looking for something for around £30 but after reading the reviews I want this hairdryer so much!

I've found the Bellissimo for £49.99 on one of those random websites google throws up - but Boots is good because I can order it online and collect it in store (for free) which is easy peasy and plus I get my Boots points.

I'm going to keep looking around online, fingers crossed I can find this for about £40 and I'd be happy.

What hairdryer are you using? Love it?

[Edit: OMG About a week ago the Bellissimo was only £39.99 on the Boots website. I'm not happy]

Valentines Wishlist 2011

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. In case I find a guy by the 14th, I will direct him to this post ;)

Hopefully he will be a generous millionaire/professional thief and be able to get me everything on my wishlist.

But in the wise words of Destiny's Child, I am an independent women, so if I don't get these for Valentine's then my aim is to get some/all by the end of the year. No harm in dreaming!

Let's get started! Credit cards at the ready....and GO!

Continuing from my random and sudden perfume obsession I really want this:

The Fragrance collection from Next, £12 for four 12ml bottles of: Just Pink, Cashmere, Diamonds and Define. I've had Just Pink and Define before and liked them, smelt Cashmere and it's cool, and the one I really want is Diamonds. Why? Because it's another Miss Dior Cherie dupe!! Y'all know how obsessive I get!!! The reason why i didn't pick a bottle of Diamonds as my 'want' is because I thought I'd go for a variety. Quantity over quality.

Next on my list is this:
It's a gold ring from Tiffany's, £250. I like it because it's just plain and simple but the hammered gold gives it a bit of a twist.

Otherwise, I love this one (maybe even more) but it's £405 *gulp*

Last time I wore rings worth more then £10 was when I was in primary school and it fell in the toilet and I flushed them down the bog. My mum never fails to remind me of this. I think it's silly to let a little girl wear a ring to school. Just saying.

Ok, this might be pushing my millionaire/professional theif valentine's generousity but I want a Rolex! Now that I know I can 'do' gold I want want want this!!! And the silver is stainless steel so that ok too....supposedly. Not sure how much this watch is but doesn't matter since it's a pipe dream!
Next up is the coolest thing ever!

Scrabble cushions! You can get any letters and make up any words. Price wise....the 'love' set is between £47-72 depending on where you get it from.

And carrying over from last year, I also want an iphone (hopefully in march when I upgrade), and a louis vuitton card holder £100.

I'm not asking for too much am I? :)

Retail Therapy

I've been wanting this for a while, and I am embarrassed about this but whatever, I am the proud owner of the perfume, 'Stunning' by Katie Price.

Now, you may be wondering about how and why an anosmic would be want want wanting a perfume; basically I read a review that Stunning was a dupe for Miss Dior Cherie and I wanted me some of that. But of course, I don't know what Miss Dior Cherie smells like either lol So basically I am a sheep following a cloud of perfume :)

I got a good deal, 50ml for £19.99 (30ml would have cost £18.99!!) from The Perfume Shop. And initially I nearly had a heart attack when I opened the box to have a spray because the nozzle thing came off and I couldn't get it on for ages and then pop! problem solved, spray spraying yay yaaaaay! Not sure if I like it or not; I can't make out the 'notes' but I can sense that it is really sweet, hopefully not sickenly so!

I have also just right this minute finished purchasing another perfume, this time from the online The Perfume Shop as the actual store did not have this in stock....Intimately Beckham. A absolute steal at £14.99 for 75ml!!! Again, not really sure what it smells like but my friend at work carries this round in her handbag and she seems the sort who smells nice and like nice smells lol Very excited to have this.

I also brought 2 black eyeliners from a little market stall, £3.50 for both. Not the best quality (swatched it on the black of my hand) but for that price, I can't complain! And I needed some eyeliner to just dump in my handbag so yay!

I got the coolest handbags from Primarni when I went to Romford with SF but argh no mobile no blog photos :( My new phone has a camera, 1.3megapixels (!) but no lead to load onto my laptop.....any ideas?

Consequently, that basically means that this blog will have no pictures until at least march 9th :( I'm sad because I enjoy taking the pics and blogging about them.

Well, I smell good and I feel a bit happie; I hope you smell good and you are happy to this weekend lol xoxo

Bye bye phone :(

Omg what a loooooooooooong day and it's only 3.22pm.

I woke up this morning and boom my mobile phone is DEAD! Deeeeeead! :( And 1 month and 4 days before I am due my friggin upgrade. What a PISS TAKE!!

So before I continue ranting, here is a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:

MY PHONE NUMBER IS THE SAME BUT I HAVE LOST ALL MY CONTACTS, SO IF YOU ARE READING THIS, PLEASE SEND ME A TEXT AND MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE MSG. THANKS :)

Ok, so luckily I woke up naturally because today wasn't a pj day and I had things to do and people to see. Spent a while looking online doing a bit of cheap pay as you go mobile research. And then I got dressed. Had my specsavers contact lense appointment at 12pm.

This is when i knew my day was definitely screwed. I had done my make up and hair all nice because I was planning to go flutter my eyelashes at the boys in the phone shops but duh me, the optician put dye into my eyes and so I couldnt put my lenses in, I had to wear my friggin harry potter glasses, and my make up was all mash up from taking out my lenses and the dye.

After my appointment (fyi my sight is even worse argh! So if I ignore you in the street please forgive me) I kinda lost my oomph to tackle the phone shops so I got my eyebrows threaded (first time in about 8 months and she did ok, not bushy caterpillars anymore, more 2 fat worms and I am happy because I was scared I'd end up with skinny noodle eyebrows.)

So after my eyebrows I popped into my hairdressers. I was going to phone in the morning and book an appointment but obviously no mobile but amazingly she fit me in right there and then!! Well, I am grateful for that BUT I wish that she couldn't fit me in because ARGH SHE MESSED UP MY HAAAAIR :(

I blame it on the fact that I didn't have my contacts in and my glasses were on the table in front so I couldn't see what she was doing or how much she took off. And bless her I don't even hate her for it because she was so happy with herself. The back is still long..ish but the front is ARGH F*CK FU*CK I've spent ages ages ages, nearly a year trying to grow it to be all the same length and now all that patience has been pissed over. I can't even do a basic ponytail without using kirby grips. Ok, I can't type about it anymore because it's making me emotional/frigging angry.

And I was so proud of myself for keeping my 8 week appointment. And now what do I do? Do i keep up with the good habit of getting it trimmed regularly? Or do i sulk and let it grow until I have split ends down to my ankles? Or hey, since all my 'hard work' has been unravelled, should I just chop it all off?!

*deep breath*

Ok, so wash and cut (with a VAT increase) no blow dry I leave the hairdressers dripping over the dreary shoppers and pop into peacocks and buy a hairband to tie it up (and thats when i realised how short the bloody front was).

Now I am set to go forth with my mobile phone mission. (I was contemplating seeing if I could 'survive' without a mobile until march 9th but after about 5 minutes I realised this would be impossible). I go to carphone warehouse and queued patiently and then I got pissed off (sorry for all the bad words) so left, went to t mobile, same story, went to another carphone warehouse, same story. Ended up getting a phone from Argos!! A hot pink Nokia 2220 slide. It's like a plastic toy mobile. But it's a connection to the world again. And a timepiece! I got it for £24.99 plus you had to get £10 top up so - £34.99. I'm not using the simcard, just popped my simcard in. The saddest thing is that I've lost all my photo's and a lot of contacts and so many pictures and videos. I wish I had regularly uploaded my pics and videos onto my laptop, all those memories will soon fade :(

So that's everything on me. Well, I had a most horrid friday but I can't even start on that I just need to wind down.

Oh, and Happy Lunar New Year!!! Hope the year of the Rabbit is going better for you then it is for me!!!

xoxo

Tuesday, 1 February 2011

Hello! Is it me you're looking for?

Hello hello there beautiful people!

I can't believe its feb already!!! 2011 is flying by and i hope that
its been going well for you all so far.

My 2011 has been good, just the usual boring stuff but can't complaint.

Apologies for lack of posts, been either sleeping or swearing at my
internet connection!

My project is coming to an end earlier than anticipated which is sad
cos i really enjoy it and love the team and even getting used to the
travel despite the few tears shed! So I'll be goin back to my usual
office which i do look forward to cos i miss everyone there and the
extra time sleeping will be much appreciated! But its kinda scary too
cos i dont know what i'll be doing and it will be an abrupt change for
me, at best i'll know 1 week before i rejoin which is just enough time
for me to freak out lol

Anyway, lets talk new year resolutions!
Hows it going for you?! Me....erm.

Well...

My credit card is maxed but also expired so i spent loads but no
longer able to so it balances out lol(to be fair about 1/2 my limit
was spent on travelcards, thieves!!!) I

ve been eating like a horse who swallowed a pig. Sausage roll for
breakfast (ok fine, rollS cos i have 2) and lunches have been biiiiig
and greasy.

Penny palace...to be fair is looking good but thats cos i blitzed it
the other day cos parents were due round
Lol If i'm being honest the 'tidy as you go' resolution didnt go to
well either. Oops

I am trying though...i think my timekeeping has improved and hopefully
it will stay like this when im back at the usual office.

Ive got 11 more months to better mysef and my life (deeeep!) so i have
faith! If you are doing as 'we'll' as
me, dont give up, keep trying!!!
