More dresses!

If you are bored of my search of a dress think about me!!!! I
have to trawl through millions of dresses before i come up with a handful to post about. Ok, so i'm not walking 23 miles everyday to a well to bring home safe water for my family but its still shite!

So first up, to our right we have an orange (thats how it's described..yeah its looks a coral to me too) dress from peacocks for £22. It ticks the sleeve box, and this shape is actually a good one for me and all my rolls(!), the only issue would be the length..it looks like you'd probably be able to see my granny knickers.

The yellow dress is £25 from matalan and i know that this is gorgeous becasue i saw the navy version when i was in-store and i regret not buying it. I know the length is good, but i also know that the cap sleeves wouldn't do the job for me, and it'd be a shame to wear anything over the top cos then it would cover the beautiful detail....

Ok, next up we have the asda 'ikat' dress for a
bargainous £16.00. Sorry for the poor quality pic, the thumbnail was tiny so i stretched it....google asda clothes to see a better pic. On the site the model is really rocking this dress and it doesn't look as casual....but i'm such a frump so i'm worried i might look like a sack of potatoes in this......do we likey?

Last pictured dress is from peacocks and is £20. Usually i'd avoid an all-over floral dress because it dates so quick but since it's a special occasion and all that i'm sure i could splash out the £20! lol But is this dress wedding guest material? And would i look like a hippo hiding in a flower bush!?

Lastly (for now!), i also saw a gorgous black dress on the wallis website (don't worry, you haven't gone blind, there's no pic - it wouldnt let me copy and paste) and it got me thinking about LBD. IS that really a no no for a wedding ?I know i asked this question at the beginning of my search but seriously, its 2010 and you're telling me i can't wear a (not-so) little black dress?!

Tell me what you think (about this selection and the LBD) below :)

Is Gabourey Sidibe A Bitch??

Is Gabourey Sidibe A Bitch??

[Click ABOVE link to read article off perezhilton.com....title is his wording not mine]

Simply; you can't be fugly and a bitch. And yeah, i guess that's me being a fugly bitch also but seriously, if you want to move forward in life and you can't depend on brains and looks, then you gotta smile smile smile til your jaw locks.

Thank you Jesus

Hello Hello!

I've taken a day off from work today because at the moment I'm training a class of managers for 11 weeks (9 weeks left) and there's a management meeting so there wasn't any point going into work and i have a ton of annual leave to use up so........here i am.

And boy i wish i was at work photocopying stuff or something. I am bored. bored bored bored. Last night i tweeted that i didn't have anything to do today but then in the morning i was happy becasue i remembered the joys of daytime television. And then that dream was shattered when at the end of 'this morning' it was announced that 'loose women' will be on itv2 due to election based tv. ARGH. I'm only picking up reception for ITV :( aka no tv for me today. F*uck.

Of course the election is important blah blah blah but so is my need to be entertained today. And I mean, election stuff is on every other channel too so why couldnt they just leave itv alone?!

Ok, my childish rant is over now. Time to count my 3 blessings me thinks?!

1) Got a really yummy lunch/dinner planned. Sweet chilli beef kebabs with baby potatoes and rocket salad.
2) Someone actually read my blog (after i 'shared' it on facebook) and bought rimmel 'beige style' - and thats good cos a) someone read my blog b) someone liked what i liked and parted with theit cash! You cannot understand how happy i am :)
3) Dear God, thank you for granting me life, giving me a loving family, I'm thankful for my friends, and for my good job. I love my house. And life is good despite the tv situation, Please do not think i'm an ungrateful brat and strike me down. Bye.

Hello tooth fairy!

Hey guys!

How have you been? I'm still a bit I'll hence the lack of posts.
Feeling blah and uninspired. So what is more appropriate than a long
whiny post?! At least im typing!

Getting over my cold but still worried I might hav a chest infection
and last time that happened I ended up in an ambulance so I'm going to
give myself til Tuesday and
If I'm still wheezy wheezy cough cough I'll go the the doctors.

Also, I think my wisdom tooth is coming through (on the top right). If
it's not a wisdom tooth then it's some kind of tooth! It's horrid
feeling and disturbing my sleep and I can't chew in that side. I don't
think I look swollen but I feel swollen. The tooth has just about
broken through the gum so I can feel a sharp point on the surface and
the gum area us mega swollen and it hurts *wails like a banshee* And
I'm stuck in a cycle: need to keep that area extra sparkling clean
because it's more prone to infection now but I can't even brush my
teeth properly (ie my toothbrush doesn't reach my new tooth) because
it's all puffy now. No more room at the inn. I did a quick google and
it suggests that if I use mouthwash vigorously then I should be
fine....I hope so because I don't want to go to the dentist for a
check up and definitley not for it to be extracted!!!!

"Beige style"

Ok. Hands up. I think I have a problem. I am obsessed.

[EDIT: SORRY for the funny font, for the life of me I can't get it "un-bolded" or fitting in with the rest of the post.]

Here's a convo with V on facebook (i heart copy and paste!)

Me: Omg! Just heard whispers of Barry m having a nail paint called mushroom...beanie dupe? I hope so!!! I still have no nail polish in a mushroom/taupey colour :( my life sucks!!!

So pls pray that 'mushroom' is indeed a beanie dupe; that my local superdrug has it in stock; and that Barry m nail paints are on a 3 for 2 offer!!!!

Me again: Aaaaaargh it's true!!! There is a Barry m mushroom (np310) and it is a beanie type colour (can't really tell online but I have faith). How am I going to sleep knowing that I could be painting my nails?!

V: Pen pen! That is the first thing you must do!! I'm not sure about beanie to be fair, I find it a bit too brown ...? Maybe. I have seen a nice opi one in a similar colour, but it might just be that I need another coat! I wish you luck in your quest! My beanie offer still stands. I want a light 'fluffy' grey ... Xx

Me: So....totally know which opi ur talking about and I love....

(image taken from other site: OPI "over the taupe")

......but scared to go down that road incase I get hooked and it's not a habit I can afford..Short story re Barry m mushroom is 'no'. But I did see a pretty rimmel called 'beige style' which might be better cos I know what u mean about beanie being too brown. It seems that I am not destined to jump onto the taupe band wagon. And you getting it for me would be cheating and I want to die with my intregrity intact so no thank you (my kind angel).
..Oooh also, in regards to ur want for a light fluffy grey rimmel and gosh had something u might like....x

The End

So the purpose of that was so that I wouldn't have to repeat myself.

What has happened now is that I'm thinking of nipping my problem in the bud. I cannot let this obsession go on. I am a grown women (with obsessive tendancies) and I really need to just chillax and not let the 'want' get to me.....coveting is a sin right?

So I think that I should forget taupe (all brands) and go for "beige style" rimmel, (beige style, rimmel, image from another site)

which is a beigey nude as its imaginative name suggests. And unlike beanie and mushroom rimmel is available at both boots and superdrugs....(yeah i saw it instore today but i want to wait until its 3for2!)

(beautfiully painted) fingers crossed this should be the last essay about nail polish for a while!!!
