Back you go!

Hi Guys,

I did a massive asos and primark haul recently but I was so shocked when I got my credit card statement that I returned most of the stuff before I could take pics/blog.

Here's some random pics I did take:

[Above and below] Leather thong necklace from asos, Dogearred. 100 mixed beads - each bead representing a good wish. It was cute and I loved the concept but it just wasn't my style.

[Below: Primark stuffs]

Pleated cream and black chiffon maxi skirt. Soooo cool on so many levels. Soooo wrong on me on so many levels. Very sad to return this - it's so the look I want to be rocking this summer :(

Not sure what I was thinking when I put this stripey top in my shopping basket. Too clingy and...tacky!! I do love stripes do so hopefully I will get a (nice) striped tee soon.

The shoes!! £15 each and gorgeous. Typical me I got the black and the mink. There was also tan but they didn't have my colour otherwise I'd have have gotten that too.......and returned all 3. PAIN! Very uncomfortable for me. Sole too flat, would have been better with a platform sole I think.

I must be the only person who goes home with more money after a 'shopping' trip since I am always returning things!!

Pasta bake

Ok this is totally random but I felt really proud and so wanted to share.

I made a pasta bake for the first time ever and it was pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

Inspired/copied off my friend R's packed lunch:

Ingredients:

Pasta(!)

Pasta sauce (dolmio's spicy pepperoni)

onions, garlic, salt and pepper

garlic sausage and normal ham

spinach, mushrooms, yellow pepper

cheese and fake breadcrumbs

What I did:

  • Cooked the pasta (boiled in water ya'll!)
  • olive oil in a frying pan. onions and garlic. sizzle my bizzle.
  • add the mushrooms and yellow peppers (I cut all my stuff small and square)
  • fried it off
  • once 'done', added sausage (ready cooked) and ham
  • seasoning!
  • Once pasta was cooked I added in a whole bag of spinach into the pot and within a few minutes the spinach was done
  • I then drained the pasta/spinach pot
  • I then chucked the pasta and spinach into the sausage mix
  • Stir, stir, stir
  • Season if necessary.
  • Pre heat oven.
  • Put half (or a bit) of the food in your oven dish
  • Sprinkle with cheese and stir
  • Put the other half in the dish
  • Sprinkle with cheese and stir
  • (that was enough for me, you can keep going if you have a massive oven dish)
  • Sprinkle the top with cheese
  • Sprinkle the cheese top with breadcrumbs
  • (And I then sprinkle a bit more black pepper on the breadcrumbs)
  • Put in oven
  • I left it in the oven for.....I think 15-20 mins which was fine. I can't tell you the temp, I always just guess.
A great dish - easy (I did it!) and you can add any veggies you have in your fridge and if you are less of a pig then me, you can go easy on the cheese (or add none) and it's a pretty decent meal.

Let me know if you give this a try. And let me know if you have any other easy food things I can try.

Superdrug's Beautycard

Hi Guys!

Superdrug's has just launched a Beautycard - basically, you buy things and get points and then points = money off.

In other word's, Superdrug's now have their own Boot's Advantage Card.

Which is about time. Which is great.

However, frankly, DISAPPOINTING. You get 1 point per £1. Once you get 100 points, you get £1 off. Which means you need to spend £100 to get £1,. Hardly bloody worth it is it.

The slightly good news is that you get 10 points per £1 spent if you shop online (have you seen how shite superdrug's website is?!) and at the moment - I think until June - you can earn 50 points for every £5 spent (aka 10 points per £1 but I guess they want you to spend more) on Superdrug branded products.

But I think, for me at least, Superdrug's is the type of place you end up in regardless so any points scheme is better than nothing. £100 expenditure for £1 seems stupid but in my lifetime I would have earned a good few pounds off my shopping by now just by buying my shampoo and toothpaste.

And the best thing ? The card has a reflective surface and so can double up as a mirror. Big whoop(!)

Have you got your hands on a beautycard yet?

Dress those tresses

Hi Guys!

Sorry - these pics have been up for ages and no words. Oppsy. But basically just me in Primark's changing rooms per usual. I didn't get anything but wish that I had got the last dress - it's a chiffon midi dress. At the time I didn't think it was a 'must have' but I've been yearning for it every since :(
