This is me :)
I think this was my 6th birthday? Really random guess, but it's definitely over 10 years ago haha!!
Even though I can't remember how old I was in the photo I can totally remember the outfit I was wearing:
I've got on a black velvet hairband. My hair was so long, probably waist length and I was only allowed to have it down on special occasions. School hair was mostly ponytails (sometimes plaits but my mum was not patient).
I'm wearing white opaque tights. I've always loved wearing tights. I had a pair to go with every outfit.
I am wearing a white cotton petticoat with a lace trim. It doesn't seem that my dress sense has changed much since I was young lol
My dress is difficult to describe but you can just about make it out in the photo - it was what I would say autumn colours with the main colour being burgundy and it had a random print on it. It had buttons from the waist to the neck, and a cream lace collar. It was a typical little girls length; mid shin.
Bearing in mind that I was born in the cold month of October I had on a creamy cable knit cardigan over my dress. I wish I could get away with wearing cable knit nowadays!
And last but not least (what does that mean?!), the best bit about my outfit: my shoes!!! Black patent round toe ballet pumps with a black disk with a gold embroidery pattern. They were the bomb! And if they came in my current shoe size I would buy 10 pairs now!!!
