Letter to myself

I was just reading some stuff I wrote when I was 'younger' (cos I'm so
old now!) and I wanted to write a letter to my young self. It's nearly
2am I'm not drunk but just feeling a bit soppy and plus it's my blog
so bare with me and let me indulge myself!

Ahem here goes:

Dear Penny,

I know that sometimes life seems hard and some days you think you
can't make it through but I am writing to let you know that everything
turns out ok in the end and some things will be more amazing than you
could ever imagine.

You are not a bad person. And a lot of your weaknesses are actually
your strengths. Don't change who you are for other people, just keep
going as you are and you will get there eventually.

Try to enjoy what is happening around you and try to cherish the good
moments and just hop over the bad stuff, they are not obstacles, they
are just tiny cracks in the pavement that you can easily navigate.

You can't control your life as you are not an isolated object as you
sometimes wish; everything and everyone is connected and you can't
control everything and you cannot control other people. So just let go
and relax a little!!

People will come and go out of your life and that's ok. Don't take it
personally and just be happy for the time that was shared whether it
be hours, days, months or years.

Try not to spend all your money on clothes, you will want Sky one day
and kick yourself if you can't afford it. Plus you can only have so
much clothes before the rail breaks.

Also, if you can learn to drive!! Again, stop with the clothes
shopping!!!

I know that you like to please people but be true to yourself because
you have to live with your decisions and actions forever. The human
mind is an amazing thing and can forever hold onto memories that's
you'd rather forget so be warned!!

Most of all, just enjoy life. Unfortunately happiness is not promised
to anyone but don't be scared. You are strong in your own way. Love
yourself and that's enough!
