I'm in bed just trying to wind down after a long day; thought I'd just
do a quick post.
(I did shop today so there'll be a haul post soon!)
So I left home at 8am and got home at about 8:30-45pm. And I've only
eaten one meal (a snack box from kfc). But surprisingly I'm not
starving, too hot and bothered to be hungry.
I didn't go to my normal workplace today; I went to an exhibition at
the Olympia centre in Kensington. The journey there was a bit of a
nightmare and to really p*ssdd me off I realised at the end of the day
that I forgot to touch out my pay as you go oyster at the barriers
(cos there aren't any and I'm an idiot) so I was charged £6 to travel
from one way from Stratford-Kensington Olympia. Not a happy bunny,
especialy considering my personal current economic crisis!!!
The exhibition was a 3 day event but I only could attend today's (last
day) and I wish I had at least done two days since there was so much
to see (at the stands) and learn (at the presentations and lectures).
Each second of my day was jam packed and my poor little feet (and
ankles) are aching. I had a little trip up some steps which was bloody
embarassing more than anything!
Oh i lied about my food intake. I did have a 20minute gap between
lectures and I gatecrashed a networking session that was serving
refreshments aka dry snadwiches and cheese. I got my picture taken
whilst stuffing my face. Hope i dont end up all over the intranet!
I was knackered by 5:30pm and as well as my feet my brain was also
aching a bit. So many big words were used; in one lecture I didn't
even understand what the title meant but I sat there nodding
enthusiatically anyway lol
After that I met up with my mum at marble arch. She was out looking
for something to wear to the wedding (a bit last minute.com,
especially compared to my 3month search!!)
We had a kfc snack box each (I could have eaten a bloody bucket though
I swear down!) and then we hit primark :)
I brought a pair of jeggings a while ago that so did not fit, I must
have been really optimistic that day! It was a few days past the 28
day return period and I was hoping they would let me exchange it and
thank god they did no problems. Apart from the queuing, returning
things at the marble arch store is so much easier than doing it at
your local store (even if that's where the original purchase was
made). Like I said, I will do a haul blog soonish.
I also managed to get my hands on my hair doughnut at last woo hoo!
However, I've just kinda realised I brought the wrong size...I got the
small (regular size) one from claires accesories for £3 when really I
need the large...rather than returning it I might just get another
small one; do you think that will work? Or will I end up looking like
Marge Simpson?
I also fulfilled my dream of eating strawberry sorbet (gosh, I'm not
great at keepin track of my food intake am I!) I've been craving it
for a good few months and finally dragged my mum (she had mango
sorbet) into selfridges foodhall :)
In regards to my mum's outfit - no luck. She got a pale pink quilted
bag and the cutest pale pink and gold pumps but that's it. I won't be
seeing her again until Saturday at the church so I hope she doesn't
turn up in an adidas tracksuit lol. I was really mean (and maybe
hungry) cos I told her she was mutton who had swallowed a whole sack
of spuds. Naughty Penny!!! Bless her though she texted me when she got
home saying it's so difficult to find an outfit when she's so beautiful.
Hhhmm...this post is not quite 'quick' but
anywho...
Tomorrow is a big day at work. The people my team have been training
for the past few months have a massive presentation to basically get
buy in for their project. Big wigs from everywhere are turning up. We
are providing lunch and I think that will be the highlight of my day.
We are not participating tomorrow but if anything goes wrong it's our
heads that will roll *gulp*. Actually I will be participating; I'm
clicking the PowerPoint slides haha Wish me luck!!!
I'm getting in for 8am to set up (I'm thinking of treating myself to
acdonalds breakfast...should I?) so hopefully if I can get out by
4:30pm I can send back my asos package (I've been lugging that bloody
thing back and forth all week!!)
Ooooh my credit card. I've made made small purchases (like my arsehole
oyster card top up) and it's gone through so looks like it just the
major purchase I didn't have enough for. I've sorted myself out though
and put a bit of money on there so as long as I put in my asos order
by 2pm Sunday I'll have my dresses on Monday.
I love my priorities though; I transfer
money so I can get my dresses but I'm not even sweating about paying
my mortgage. I'll be stressing out about that soon trust me. I swear
this is my last asos purchase for...let's say 3 months? Yeah, 3 months
is good, I'll have made back the money by then lol Do you like how I
haven't put myself on a shopping ban though? Lol
Ok that's enough from me. As always, thank you so much for reading :)
Sweetdreams everyone xxx
wow honey, what a busy day- bloody oyster!
ReplyDeleteooooooh, cant wait to read your purchases from primark, and dont forget to show us the latest asos items that has got you so determined to get no matter what ;)
good luck to your trainees, hope they do you proud....

Ok sweet pea, talk soon xxxxxxx
Hi SF!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA
Sorry I think it's so funny and so sweet that you've called yourself SF - shows you are a true 'penny for your thought's' reader!!!
It took me a while to think of what to 'call' you cos S is a) taken and b) I don't really think of you as S and then F would have been too confusing so SF seemed good; glad you've settled into your new name lol
Primark 'haul' is coming up....even though when i went to take the photo's i realised i didn't get hardly anything - not sure what i was so excited about lol
and i'll blog about it when it arrives but i've just put through my asos order - hope i don't get another email saying its been declined!!!!!!
No idea what my mum is going to wear. a bit worry but oh well lol
epilate..i've been doing it EVERY morning hair or no hair just to get use to it. I think i'm getting the hang of it but there'll be a blog review soon ;)
