Apologies!

Hello hello blog readers!

So sorry I haven't updated for a few days (I'm sure you were just devastated) but I was out of the country (just about), in Wrexham, Wales.

Really need to go to sleep now but we have a bank holiday weekend so I will be sure to write an essay about my trip and also go back to the usual blog updates.

Toilet humour

Ok this is probably too much info but I found the situation hilarious
and wante to share it with you:

Today when I was in the toilet at work I thought that there were two
people in the cubicle one down from me (I know this cos there's 3
cubicles and there wasn't anyone in the one next to me) having sex!!
All I could hear was grunting and "come on come come on" being panted.
I didn't know what to do!!! I was too scared to leave the toilet and
first I was so shocked but then I found it hilarious and it's ony
after a few minutes of grunting and panting that I hear a big "plop"
and a sucession of small plops followed by a huge sigh. Turns out the
person was just trying to do a big poo and was grunting out of
frustration and I imagine discomfort and panting to encourage herself
lmao

Revlon foundation haul and clinque foundation review

Hey guys!

As promised here is a post about the new foundations i recently got. And also a review of my clinique foundations....

(Above photo - Left to Right: Revlon PhotoReady in 005 Natural Beige; Revlon ColorStay in 320 True Beige; and Revlon PhotoReady in 007 Cool Beige)

I got them from Boots, there was a 3 for 2 offer so i got all three for about £25 (£12.99 x2 and then i got the colorstay free, £11.99. Price wise it was a bargian, i got 3 foundations for the price of 1 clinique foundation.

I must say, I don't hate the one I've tried (3 days using photoready in true beige) but next time (once I've used all 3 bottles!!! lol) I will be sticking with clinique, as you do get what you pay for. And I'mnot even talking about the product per se, but about the service/buying experience.

Admittedly i got my revlon haul from a skanky Boots in East London so of course the buying experience was not great but I've been to loads of Boots (especially recently with my 'beanie' hunt) and there's never no offer of help, or anyone to ask help from.

And the reason why I am moaning about this rather then talking about the product is because buying a new foundation is hard enough and when you factor in the lack of proper mirrors and a lack of testers then you're pretty stuffed. Luckily I have no shame and I'm proud to stand there hogging the foil on the wall and smearing my face in every tester that is available. And the security can stare at me as much as he/she wants. F*ck off.

TBH i doubt that any of the 3 foundations I got are the right colour for me, there weren't any colours dark enough in many of the brands (which is pretty bad actually considering I'm pretty light, what do black/asian skin have?)

So anyway, photoready in true beige. Halle Berry is 'the face' for this product but i wanted to get it because my idol lollipop26 recently reviewed the product. Simply, i like it. If it was a better colour match I'd be a fan (i got the two 'darkest' shades). The consistency is great and it offers enough coverage for me and my nightmare skin but it doesn't look toooo heavy. Lollipop26 and other beauty guru's talked about the glitterball factor and when i applied it i didn't know what they were on about but when i was on the bus i caught my reflection in the window and holy moly i was sparkling!!! But this is not a problem for me, so doesnt effect my opinion on the product...but I am aware that the sun is here/coming so we'll see how glittery i am a bit later!

(Above photo - Left to Right: all clinique products: supermoisture makeup in 18 nude beige; even better in 09 sand; and superfit in 09 beige)

These are my last 3 foundations that I'm trying to use up. The reason why I opened my new foundation before finishing the old ones is due to two reasons: 1) wanted a cheap and easy foundation to take to Wales and wanted to make sur eit wouldnt break me out and had enough coverage and 2) i have an 'issue' which I'll blog about one day!

So out of the three, even better is my favourite. fantastic coverage, matte but not toooo matte and it doesn't dry my face out. The consistency is nice and creamy and it really does just make your face 'even better'! This is the foundation i use when i've got big meetings or VIP visits.

superfit and supermoisture are in a tie position. i brought both at a shopping discount village (woodbury common) when i was at new york so the buying experience was similiar to shopping in Boots so I had to find my own colours......which im obviously not good at!

superfit is a pretty good foundation but i need a slightly darker shade. This is a great everyday foundation and the one i wear to work on 'normal' days. It doesn't leave my skintone looking as even as even better but I think that's due to the wrong shade rather the the formulation.

supermoisture is another great everyday foundation but i always use powder to set it because i'd say the coverageis medium rather then full. This is also the foundation i wear if my face hasn't broken out.

So in an ideal world i wish i could buy cliniques even better but this is a credit crunching time so a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!!!!!

Potential wedding GUEST outfits

Nearly wrote 'wedding dress' as my title but realised that would be misleading and also wishful thinking lol

So as you may know I've been invited to a wedding in July. And I'm panicking about what to wear. So here's some dresses I've got my eye on. Would really appreciate your thoughts......

<----Dress on the left
I love this but I can see that it's probably not the best choice (and its £75!)....but hey if i get 100 comments giving this one a thumbs up then who knows!!!! And with very dressy shoes and a pretty clutch I think this could be pretty cool.....?

Dress on the right --->
I think this is beautiful. This is also a Monsoon Fusion offering (as is the grey dress btw), and £55.
I love the style. Pretty, simple and feminine, and it has sleeves. The only issue is the colour (listed as purple).....I've never worn purple before, would it suit me? What shoes would i wear?

Dress on the right ----->
I heart this dress. Was debating it with R and she wasn't a fan and then i saw it featured on GMTV and i think that's surely a sign from God to get the dress?

£55 from the Monsoon Fusion range.
Is it dressy enough for a wedding and the after party?

<---Dress on the left, also from the Monsoon Fusion range, £55. I think that considering the price its nothing special, very similiar to the ASOS one (shown below)........And I already have a green dress........

<------Dress on the left Ok, this is from the ASOS Curve range. £65 though, which is more then i want to pay but it does have sleeves!!!!! Not sure about the length of dress with bare legs though.....Do you think the colour is ok for me?

Dress on the right -->
Another one from ASOS Curve range (also avaible in non fat section) - this is my number one I think becasue a) it covers enough of my arms b) its £28!!!!! c) and it comes in coral (as shown), black and cream.....I'm actually considering the cream but not sure if approriate for a wedding?

The coral colour looks a bit jarring to me, but i think with my dark hair it'll be ok....yay/nay?

So these are the main contenders so far, please let me know what you think, or even if you have seen a dress somewhere that you think I should have a look at. Since I've got a few more months to look around I'm sure they'll be plenty more posts like this one!

Posh polish

Hi blog people!

I just sent a Msg to V via facebook and then realised it's a suitable
blog post too so I copied and pasted (on my ipenny so I'm impressed
with myself!!)

Regular readers will know that I've been on a hunt for boots no7
beanie polish, a mushroomy colour is how I'd describe it. Can't find
it anywhere. V has it and I've been keeping her updated on the
situation because she's kindly offered to get me it if I can't get
hold of it but I'm being pretty patient I think...

So what I said was..."thought I'd update you on the beanie situation
cos I know ur life would be unsettled without a daily update...no. No
beanie as of yet. But fickle child that I am, I've fallen in love with
eyeko polish in 'posh polish', basically same colour, a close
relative. But the eyeko range in my local superdrugs has been
removed!!! Terrible terrible. So anyway my plan is to get whichever
one I can get my hands on!! Wish me luck :)"

And that's that's!!!

(eyeko is £3.50 btw. No7 is just under £6.25 thereabouts but I have a
boots £5 off voucher = £1.25 so it'd be great if i could get it)

Business as usual

Hi guys!

On my way to work. Yet another nerve grabbing adventure...will I or
won't I make it to work on time? As long as there's no delays or
unusually long stops I'll be fine... But we all know what sods law is
like!!

Uh oh I feel like I've done something rude. A guy got onto my carriage
and sat next to me, apart from feeling a bit squashed he also had a
bouquet of flowers and I don't want to risk any allergies so i got up
and move a few seats...everyone looked at me but I've got a lot of
stops to go, I'm not going to suffer when there's empty seats across
from me (and why didn't the dickhead take the empty row?!)

I hate it when people on public transport cross their legs. Having
their foot dangling in what I think of as my space (the space in front
of my calves) really annoys me, especially if they swing their leg or
if they have big crusty shoes. Vomit. (the person next to me is doing
this and starring at me, kinda hoping she'll read this and move her
ugly foot.)

Oooh! My 3 blessings for yesterday:
1) I had chicken and chips for dinner
2) wore my new foundation. Review to follow after haul.
3) had my first (jug of) pimms of the summer. Oooh I love sticking my
arm into the jug afterwards and fishing out all the stuff :)

Battery is dying (from playing all my games; I'm totally addicted. A
bit unhealthy for someone my age!) I hope the music lasts me til my
stop. It's still 50/50 whether I'll be late or not.

Wearing the most random/shite outit ever. Navy blue linen dress that I
was going to west with tights but it's so short you can see my belly
button...so I'm wearing it with blue jeans. As an entire outfits inc
accessories and jacket I look nice (if i do say do myself lol) but
when it's just dress, jeans and shoes I look like a tramp. A colour
blind one cos my blues don't match.

I'm still having bad dreams about work and things going wrong. I can't
wait to just get the thing started, the bad dreams should stop then.
All I'm doing is 'revising' and plannig planning planning. "if you
fail to plan, you plan to fail".

Preferably I want to be off the train in 9minutes. Possible of the
train driver puts his foot down! Lol

Hope you all have a great day and enjoy the sunshine (while I'm stuck
in a basement folding t shirts!)

Ignorance is bliss

Argh!! Neighbours at hell at it again. Number 5, same floor but not
too near me.

I take out the trash (about an hour ago) and on my way back to my
apartment I bump into the resident moaner (love him!!) and a lady
(well, a female grown up Chav so not quite a lady), neither of whom
live on my floor. Turns out moaner dude lives above flat 5 and lady
chav lives below and there are two dogs in there barking like crazy so
they were coming to Check out the source.

My problem is that I didn't even notice the crazy barking but now it's
all I can hear and it's driving me loco!!! When is the owner coming
back home?! Do dogs get tired of barking?!

Woof woof woof Woof (doggie language for aarrgghhh!!!!!)

Show me some love!!

Seriously dudes, my view counter isn't clocking any views :( read read
read, come back and read some more!!!

I'm not too proud to beg ;)

Pleeeeeeeease :)

Lost Thursday

Hi guys!

So today I had the day off from work. Just a random day because I need
to use up my leave and also because from next Monday work is going to
be crazy busy and stressful and this was the only day I could get off.

So anyway, I had great plans for today: •clean the oven
•defrost the fridge
•do blog on top 5 house products
•make up haul (yay!!!)
•blog on space rant
•clean kitchen floor
•super tidy bedroom
•start packing my suitcase for Wales

So what did I get done? Well last night I went to bed at 5am so ended
up waking up at 9am cos of the sun searing my retina and then
burrowing under my duvet and staying in bed for a bit longer. Finally
got out of bed and dumped myself on the sofa. Had left over fajita for
'breakfast' and watched a lot of tv. Next thing I knew it was 4pm and
I was still in my pyjamas. Then it was nearly 7pm and I was making
dinner in my pyjamas (fish fingers and cheesy chips).

And now it's 10pm so it's time for bed lol I love my pj days!!

Love is a hurricane

- boyzones new single. And the video is...wow. Naked shane lynch. Semi
naked ronan and Keith. And then fully dressed mikey graham. Poor
mikey, he's no boy but they could have at least pretended that people
would want to see him semi/fully naked.

And the most amazing thing is that
Keith got to sing 2 whole lines by himself. Maybe ronan was having a
poo. I was so shocked to hear a voice that wasn't Ronans (or the ghost
of Stephen RIP) I nearly fell off my sofa.

I just want to make it clear, I know this is my secod post on boyzone
but I'm not a crazy fan (nor a hater). They just happen to be on tv a
lot!

Since I'm here, do I like the song? Erm...it's very different for
them....I couldn't really concentrate with all the flesh on show! Lol

Quit playing games with my heart

Your eyes are not deceiving you. It is indeed 3am.

Firstly, don't panic, I haven't gone mad, I have tomorrow off work.

Anyway, this is going to be a post about some of the ipenny apps I have.

I am addicted to the ipenny app 'original ganstaz', which I installled
purely to get free brain pieces for another game I'm addicted to
called 'zombie farm', which I installed to get fish bucks for the
original game addiction: 'tap fish'.

I've only just recently got into this online gaming and therefore only
just realised you could get 'free stuff' by installing other games.

So anyway, original ganstaz is a....I don't know how to describe it
but it's totally addictive. Basically you're a gangsta and you do
gansta stuff for money and of course, street cred. So I fight, tell yo
momma jokes, diss people, own a slum and collect rent on it and I can
join in gang wars. And I've even started talking to some guy, who is
probably 12years old but he is my best friend now :)

Next up: zombie farm. You're the farmer and you can grow crops (and
then harvest and sell for money) and zombies (which you harvest). Once
you have 16 zombies (they come in all shapes and sizes, and genders!!)
you can invade other farms and get money or if you're lucky you can
get a brain, which you can use to get really good stuff or exchange it
for 1000pieces of gold.

Tap fish: the lamest game of them all but anyone who knows me knows my
love for feeding fake fish. It's a friggin fish tank there's not more
I can say about it.

The problem with these 3 games is the in app selling, these games seem
to be all about trying to get the players to reach deep into their
pockets. Obviosuly I ain't reaching nowhere so it does hinder me
slightly but never mind.

The other issue is the real time thing. A lot of my fish, crop and
zombies die cos I do t get online within the allotted time to feed/
harvest and then I have to plant/buy another 1 and then make sure I
come back in 4 hours or 12 hours. I'm nearly 26 yes old for gods sakes
I can't run my life according to my fake fish!!

With OG the problem is that you can only fight/rob people up to a
certain amount an then your health or stamina runs out and then blah
boring blah.

Ooooh I've blogged enough I need to go harvest my farm now ;)

Carrot cake

Hello :)

Hope you've had a nice day. I had in my winter coat today as the sun was
dipping in and out. My manager was convinced we were surrounded by
volcanic ash but I think it's smog.

Anyway, my 3 blessings for today:
1. I ate carrot cake and have a slice in the fridge for tomorrow too
2. My hair has reached the length where it's wavy again which is
easier to handle
3. I got 2 of the latest patricia cornwell novels.

Work was busy. I had two bad dreams over the weekend and it's left me
unsettled. 1st dream I dreamt about work and the 2nd dream I was in my
work but it was school and ...blah blah blah. All my nerves and
anxiety coming to life. Hopefully tonight I have sweet dreams!

Thanks to V my new aim in life is to get beanie nail polish by no7.
It's a Chanel dupe and has been sold out everywhere in London,
Especially cos a while ago there was a voucher where you could get it
for under £2!!! I was obsessed but then kinda forgot but now that V
mentioned it I've got the itch again! (V says if i can't get it here
her local boots has loads and she'll get me one, it's nice to be
friends with an angel!!) And it seems she went on a nail polish spree
and I'd like to imagine it's because she was inspired by my blog post
lol

It's (blog) gaining momentum slightly I must say. Well, like a snail
running rather then crawling. So that's my 4th blessing!

I wore my new turquoise ruffle top today with a grey long cardi type
thing and black pencil skirt. I got one compliment. I do like the top
but I do feel self conscious in something do bright...it does match my
work badge and lanyard though which makes me happy lol

Tomorrow is crap clothes day cos I'm going to spend the whole day
reading and practising saying "prioritising" cos I keep stumbling on
the word and one of the modules I'm delivering is called 'prioritising
critical issues' and it takes me about half an hour to say the title
lol saying that, there was another module called "sxxxxxxx and
sxxxxxxx" (haha even modules are anonymous!) and that's just a stutter
galore but thank god I refused to deliver it and one of my managers is
kindly doing it.

I went to the library today. The jodi picoult novel I lost out on last
time was borrowed this time but I was expecting it so i didn't throw a
hissy fit. I was happy as I mentioned in the blessings because I got
hold of the 2 latest patricia cornwell scarpetta novels (2008 and
2009). Once I've read these two I would have read all 17 novels in the
series. I love many authors but none as much as cornwell and her
scarpetta series. (I must admit I enjoyed the earlier stories much
more though....)

Oooh it's 09:02pm. Going to bed early to make up for my late nights
and the time lost having bad dreams (I never feel rested if I have a
bad dream, or if I dream of exercising lol).

Sweet sweet dreams!

Mrs potato head

Hello!

So another late night for me; I'm turning into a right little party
animal aren't I?! Lol

Both my parents came to mine Just before 6pm. I thought I was going to
theirs and was all dressed and made up when I got a call around 5pm
saying they were coming over. I nearly had a heart attack - my place
was a wreck!!!

I don't know how but I managed to Hoover the whole flat, dust the
visible areas, clean the bathroom including the loo, fill up 4 black
bin bags and hide all my mess. The best exercise is definitely
housework with a deadline of parents unexpected visit!

My dad surfed the net while me an my mum swapped 'gifts'. I gave her
the gap stuff which she loved and she got me some primarni goodies
(shoes, knickers and 3 vests). I'll photograph the shoes and get them
up. I asked her to return the vests cos I never wear the primark ones.
I always buy them cos of the price but then the material is horrid and
the body too short so I save my pennies and get the gap modal stuff,
much better and easier to layer under other tops.

My mum had some rice and I ate a potato with tuna and cheese. Thinking
about it makes me feel sick and I still have another one to eat
tomorrow :s

I've thought of a blog to do and I'm reallylooking forward to doing
it...top 5 home products (cleaning etc) idot know about you but I love
cleaning products. Even when I was hom an never did anything I enjoyed
buying the stuff advertised on tv for my mum to use. What a brat. I
bet she's happy I'm cleaning my own toilet!!

So anyway, Thank you for reading, please come back soon :)

Haul part 2 and other stuff

continued from last post...

before i start I'm so sorry about the crappy lay out of the pics (for the last blog and this). Hopefully I will get the hang of all this soon!

So the next item from Gap (above) is a light grey silk mix cardigan. Its maybe a smidgen darker in 'real' life. It has cropped sleeves (just below the elbow on me) and the body is not as long as the essential Gap cardigans (e.g. merino or cotton). I'm not usually a fan of the shorter cardi's but I thought it would be nice for the warmer weather we're having and i can chuck it over whatever top for work. And its machine washable thank god!!!! This was a bargainous £12.99. I got my mum one also and the funny thing is, on her, the sleeves reach her wrists. Midget mum!

I got some other stuff but they were for my mum and boring so i didn't take any pics. One more item that I got for myself was a light biscuit t shirt, but a 'smart' t shirt. I plan to wear it for work (i know i talk about work clothes/accs a lot but i work all the time so if im not wearing work clothes im wearing my pyjamas!!) Its got a basic chiffony detail around the neckline and vertically down the back of the top theres an exposed seam. The colour makes me look a bit dead but hopefully i'll tan soon and look a bit more alive!!

Ok. So now I'm just going to talk about some other bits and pieces that have been occupying me. The first two are johnsons holiday skin and revlons tropical temptation (number 093). When I was getting dressed today I just felt it was time that I 'summered' myself out. So i painted my toes and fingers with tropical temptation (which is a gorgeous coral colour, more orange than pink) and slapped on the johnsons holiday skin (JHS).

Don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the JHS is 'foreign'. I got it from 99p store. I was a bit wary because last year i bought a (random brand) fake tanner from wilkinsons (it was under 2 quid) and i was orange. Actually my skin was a similiar colour to tropical temptation LMAO!

But (fortunately/unfortunately) this JHS had the opposite effect. AKA no effect. I'm the same pasty colour i was prior to application. But to be fair i've only done it once this morning so I'll apply every morning, I'll give it a week or two to work its magic. But tbh I'm not holding out much hope cos ok for 99p I can't expect miracles but its not even moisturising!

Next up for discussion are these 3 nail polishes (above) that my mum brought round. They are (very) old but amazingly still useable and not at the gloopy stage.

I'll do left to right:

1) Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Siren (number 5). At the time I got this it was my absolute favourite colour. This is actually my 3rd bottle and you can see from the picture that even this bottle is half way down. There is only one other polish (a red of course) that I've finished/re-bought and i can't believe this is my 3rd bottle. I've talked about my love for red and hot pink polishes in my earlier blogs, but basically red was my signature colour until Siren came and knocked it off the top spot. And kudos to collection 2000, the hot look polishes are a great price and a great product. 5 stars!

2) 17 rock hard in pink shock (number 62). This is a bit of an odd one. I cant say if i love or hate it, it depends how i'm feeling. The name is misleading because its not pink pink, its got a slight purple tone in it. It has a great finish though. I think the problem with this colour is that it isn't a classic and nor is it a 'wow'.

3) (colour payoff in photo isn't very accurate). I think this was a gift. Oh maybe i got it really cheap. Rimmel 60 seconds in mania (number 877). My mum actually had this on her toes today and all i can think to descirbe the colour is seaweed/slash mermaid. Problem number 1 for me is that its a shimmer and I'm definitely a matte lover. Problem number 2 is that it's a bluey green, greeny blue for god sakes! I know that OPI's 'jade is the new black' is the new IT colour for this week but I don't know......and its a bit dark for spring/summer isn't it? And also, jade is the new black is just a green, and at least its one colour. No to mermaids. Sorry Ariel!

Hope you enjoyed the show and tell!

Haul part 1

Hi Guys!

As promised here is my Gap haul.

Due to the limit on the number of photo's I can upload onto blogger I'm going to have to split the haul up, so please read all the parts to get an idea of my whole haul :)

Sorry the photo's haven't loaded in the right order.

But anyway, first up I got two of the same tops. A navy and a turquoise cotton, sleeveless top. There are long but I'm going to wear it tucked into my work skirts so it doesn't matter. If I was skinnier I'd wear it with skinny jeans and pumps, well cute and the ruffles add a dressy element but its still casual.

I must say, my 3.5 crappy digital camera shows the colour very well. Shock!

They were £9.99 each in the sale. I did want one in black and white but they were sold out :( I wonder if I actually ever wear the turquoise one?!

Next item of purchased was a white smock style top. Its quite thin and I'll need to wear a vest underneath but its perfect for summer. And the smock style hides my lumps and bumps well

enough. It's got floaty cap sleeves which aren't the best at hiding my fat arms but decent enough. I just have to remember not to wave down any taxi's in public or put my hand up if asked a question. And if i need to reach up I'll have to get one of the boys to do it!

The white top was £29.50. Which is a lot (even taking into account my uniform discount) but I just loved the detailing. It's just really delicate and girly and the poms poms are sooooo cute! (I hope they don't fall off in the wash!)

I can sing a rainbow

Hello everyone!

Let's start my end of day post with my 3 blessings:

1. Went to Chinese buffet with S for lunch

2. Got loads of bargains from Gap

3. Er....I don't know....got to see the sun for 5 mins.

Maybe I should change the blessings thing to weekly....

Anyway. I was 6 minutes late for work which isn't good but hopefully
it's not worth my boss murdering me. Had a very productive day. One
guy got changed with the fitting room door open and he had on some
skanky boxers. I'm happy that's all I saw!

Got some stuff for me and my mum. I've taken pics so I'll talk about
that in a haul post.

On the way home I helped a guy fro
victoria to embankment via bus and he was grateful and it made me
feel happy so that was really nice.

I got home at 8.00 and didn't eat dinner til nearly 9.30!!! But it was
worth the wait, my chicken and rice was delish :) I was reading a book
as I ate and there is now a few grains of rice embedded between the
pages. There was originally a spoonful worth of rice but I managed to
get most of it out and the rest is stuck. Sorry bookclub!

I finally sorted through my post; I had some stuff from mid march!!!
Unsurprisingly most of it was junk. Why do dfs keep writing to me? I
finally got my final bill from British gas (which is wrong, no
surprises there!). So I'm glad I did that cos it was piling up and I
was a bit worried what I'd be discovering but it's all under control.

Tomorrow is not going to be a pyjama day but I will get a bit of a lie
in/lounge about though. Going to my parents house for late lunch/early
dinner which will be nice.

Well it's one minute to midnight so I think that's my cue to go, so
goodnight.

Signal failure

Morning everyone :)

It's just gone 9am and I'm on the tube to work. Got the worse hair
ever but I couldn't get a comb through it so gave up lol

Was doing ok for time but not looking like my lucky day, tube stopped
in the tunnel so any chance I had of being early or on time is slowly
ticking away.

Oh fuck. Train driver just announced signal failure and severe delays :
( crap crap crap crap argh

Ok it's 9.23 and I've still got a few stops to go but I won't be as
late as I imagined. I've been stuck in 1hr signal delays before so
phewy not this time!

Hope y'all ave a lovely Saturday while I work hard!

Neighbours from hell

As the title suggests the neighbours from hell have moved in. Actually
they're not my immediate neighbours but one door down but because we
share the same corridoor I suffer from their bad behaviour.

Actually, I keep referring to 'them' when officially it's 'she' but
that's part of the problem. The boyfriend smokes in the corridoor
which not only stinks and makes my apartment stink (to be fair I can't
smell it but I can feel the smoke) but it's dangerous, what if he sets
my welcome mat on fire and I don't realise?!

They or he also have a dog. A big noisy horse dog. I don't appreciate
sharing my corridoor with a dog either. And if it ever poops or pees
in the carpark or communal areas I will eat it.

And what makes me laugh is that bumped into the...er I guess estate
agent? The dude who sold me the place...on the day NFH moved in and he
was saying how lovely she was and blah blah blah be nice to her shell
be lonely etc Er yeah, didn't know the boyfriend was living there too
did u frank?

Sorry frank doesn't get anonymity cos he makes my blood simmer. I
viewed the place twice. Once with my bro and his gf an once with my
parents. Both times frank treated me like a total div just cos I look
like I'm 12. And he is a lovely man but so condesending (sp?!) and
I've been treated that way by so many people for so long I just want
to kick them. A million times. In the head.

He only treated me like a grown human being when I put down the
deposit. And he's always trying to find out what I do for a living. I
rob banks old man so eff off you got your commission.

Ok ok take penny off the simmer now!

So what do I do about NFH? I feel bad to report her but I feel angry
with myself for being so passive yet again. Someone else on my floor
has put up signs so I'm hoping that if it doesn't stop (and it won't
cos they're disrespectful chavs) then someone will take it up with
whoever necessary.

Or maybe the horse dog will eat both of them.

Cheeeese

Hello!

Wow it's a quarter to midnight and I'm up. Someones gonna be a grumpy
bunny tomorrow!

So a quick lowdown on yesterday evening - got to woolwich, wandered
around a few shops to kill time (worst primark ever but I know my
friend A - another A! - always get good bargains there, but she's a
lithe size 8 and would look like a model in a crisp packet so that's
not saying much.)

Meet A 5ish and we decide on a noodle bar which after looking at the
menu is selling itself short as it's basically a Chinese eat in or
take away. Pretty decor. Good prices. Massive portions. 5 stars. Can't
remember the name though. Nm. That's basically it, then I went home.
It was good to see A after 2 weeks and I'm happy he's happy at his new
location. There's a nandos opening in woolwich soon so I think that's
our next dinner 'date'.

So today I had a busy day at work. So much prep to do for an up coming
event. But it's fun too, I like organising things surprisingly enough.
I'm unorganised in my personal life though which is a shame but hey if
someone paid me a few grand to sort out my own life then I'd do it! Lol

After work I went to S house for a gossip and dinner, and an awful
round of mario cart racing on the wii. I was beyond crap. Dinner was
spaghetti bol
with a ton of cheese. S never skimps on cheese.

It's amazing how quick children grow and change. Her big one is 4 in
July and the baby will be 1 in July, and every time I see them they
take my breath away. And this time round the baby is actually turning
into a proper person now rather then just a baby...does that make sense?

I didn't just get home now but just been winding down. It's been a
hyper dy, hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more chilled out and I'll
be trying my best to go to sleep at 8pm!

Bra-vo darling

Hi guys!

How's your Wednesday? I'm currently on the jubilee line on my way to
woolwich (getting off at north Greenwich and catching a bus the rest
of the way).

What a grey sad say we're having in London! Quite disappointing; I've
got my winter coat back on. And I have a feeling that when I exit the
station it's going to be raining or at least drizzling which is shite
cos my hair is straightish and shinyish.

(oh Jesus a buffalo has just sat on me!)

So today I went into work, attended a stand up meeting that I was
invited to and I did not say a single word and then left to go to
victoria. I had printed the directions from tfl using the post code I
got from the intranet but for some reason the directions were wrong.

And how did I know they were wrong? Because at 12:10pm I could see big
ben and I should have been seated at 12pm. Called my boss on a panic
and luckily he knows the area well and was able to give me directions
over the phone.

Got there and signed in at reception and then had to wait for someone
to escort me to the room, by the time I joined the lunch meeting I was
sweaty and worried that my hair was growing (but luckily it wasn't).

I've never been to a network lunch thing before and found it a bit
strange. There was about 15 attendees plus the VIP and her assistant
sat around a big big table and there were jugs of orange juice and
platters of fruit and sandwiches on the table. No agenda. And we were
all strangers so it wasn't a happy tea party! But a great experience.

.....ok I'm actually at home in bed now, just gone 10pm.

After the lunch I went to my Saturday work just to say hi and try on a
few things. There was a navy blue print cotton maxi dress that I tried
on and it didn't too bad actually but when I tried to take it off I
got stuck!!! After much struggling I had to come out of the changing
room and shout for help *cringe*

Then I went into monsoon. Very disappointing. The store was a mess.
Only two members of staff busy talking to each other. No
acknowledgement at all. And the size range was a joke. Primark has a
better atmosphere!

Next stop was marks and spencers (bear in mind I was on victoria
street so these stores aren't humungous). They had the limited
collection stuff that vv brown wears in the ads which was nice but for
July wedding no good. They had a few bright linen dresses in the
normal m&s stuff but a bit granified unsurprisingly. One thing that
caught my eye was a cropped 3/4 sleeve jacket with massive navy and
white horizontal stripes and gold buttons. Really really want it but
that's definitely a want rather than a need so no go til I win the
lottery :(

I've been thinking for a while of buying a new bunch of bra's so I
ended up in the lingerie section. I thought that since the store was
empty I'd take some time to try on some bras (I feel bad trying stuff
on and knowing i'm not purchasing if there are queues).

First the service sucked. No greeting, no offer of help and when I
went into the fitting room I wasn't offered a measurement which I know
is part of their mystery shop so I was a bit miffed (no queue, no
other customers on the section and 3 members of staff at the fits...)
but after I tried on my chosen 2 and was going to leave one lady did
ask if I wanted help (better late them never and seemed a bit half
hearted but oh well, I'm not one to turn down help!) so I said yes,
explained what I was looking for blah blah and basically she helped
me. I tried on another 9 bras, didn't buy. At that point I was willing
to buy but tbh their size range and styles was limited, I don't want a
neon orange bra with turquoise daisies! But now I know what size and
style I might order online or go to the marble arch store.

Jesus this entry is long I need to sleep!!!!

Anyway, then I returned two skirts that I bought when with V, got back
£37 yay!

Made my way to Bond street; I was planning to go marble arch for
primark and Evans but I was running out of time so skipped that.

....so got on the jubilee line and started this blog! Yay we've come
full circle :)

Evening spent with A will have to be recounted another time cos it's
way past my bedtime now.

Nails

My nails have become an impractical length.

•I can't type on ipenny very well
•I can't use Vaseline (I can't open the tin nor get the product on my
finger tip)
•likewise with my eye cream
•it's getting harder day by day to put in and take out my contact
lense; both from my eyes and the little container thingy.
•I can't type as fast in my laptop cos my nails keep getting stuck
under the keys!!!!
•correcting my smudged eyeliner is dangerous; nail+eyeball= mega ouch
•I can't use chopsticks cos my nails dig into my hand
•when I wash my hair sometimes I accidently scratch my face and draw
blood which to me is nearly cannibalism!

So why don't I cut them?

• basically they're a length that's difficult to cut!! I can't hold
the nail clippers very well and there's not enough space to cut all
the nail and I'm too lazy to struggle!! I'm stuck in a vicsious
cycle!!! Help!

Candlelight

"Even a goat can look like a lady in candlelight"
-French proverb

Out of my bedroom window, when I'm laying down I can see the
streetlamp in the carpark. I find it's orange glow quite comforting.
When I first moved in it used to drive me crazy. Bearing in mind I
have no window dressings here
and used to sleep with black out curtains at my parents you can
imagine how I use to curse that orange laser burning my retina!

And my point is? Tbh there was no point, I just happen to be looking
out my window as I type but I guess there are two things:
1) things aren't always as they seem. And not everyone sees things the
same as you.
2) you can learn to live/love almost anything given time. So don't be
so easily discouraged, and give things time.

And life goes on...

I think that one of my new years resolutions should be to be less
grumpy and more grateful. To help me
do this I am going to identify 3 blessings a day (and when I can I'll
blog about them).

There are no rules as such; if I see it fit then it counts, it's just
a resolution not a cure for cancer after all!

So today's blessings:

1. I got my sandwich back
2. I ate an eclair and cream cake
3. I ate lunch with N who I haven't seen for ages (and the she-devil A)

I have a feeling my blessings are going to be mentioning a lot of
food! Lol

I've also decided to stop babysitting the wash. I'm sick and need
sleep, plus sitting on the kitchen floor isn't going to get me better
is it?

I've left a few towels so that if the door does fly open hopefully the
kitchen won't be so bad on the AM (I hope a blessing for tomorrow is
that the wash finished without problems!!!)

Hiya!

Hope you've had a lovely day :)

Let me just get my 3 blessings out the way:
1) i ate cheese today and it was yummy
2) just found out my workplace has sort sort of book scheme so I've borrowed 2 from 'the box' - happy days :)
3) erm....oh! no flood courtesy of washing machine this morning :)

So tomorrow is a busy day for me. In the morning I go to work as usual because I have to attend a meeting and then from 12-2 I'm having a 'network lunch' in Victoria with a big wig (not just the two of us, i assume they'll be tons of people). I'm suppose to ask questions but all i can think of is the lunch, i hope its yummy!!! And then i've taken the rest of the day off as annual leave so I plan to window shop either in Victoria or maybe go oxford street and then at 5pm I'm meeting A (boy) in Woolwich for an early dinner. I haven't seen A for nearly 2 weeks so I'm looking forward to it. Plus there's a primark in Woolwich! lol

Big question then: What do i wear!? This is going to sound creepy but i've been doing my research online and looking at pics of what the bigwig wears (lady); most pictures are top half only but i think she's quite feminine which is good and i watched a video of her (ok fine im 100% creepy) and she seems nice. I'm debating whether or not to wear the new top i got at matalan (heart print peter pan) or.........i don't know.......

Good news is bag wise i'm sorted. since its not officially work/i dont need to take any paper work and im not going to be in a public building i could take my LV or roadtest my £8 matalan bargain......depends of what i wear i guess. LV does not go with prints.

Shoes is also a headache and more so than usual. Wanted to wear my grey suede courtesy of primark but yesterday i basically got my shoe stuck between the lift compartment and the floor and my heel came off. But it didn't break, it literally just came off whole and so i banged it back in again and its fine to walk on but becasue it was grey suede the heel looks like its been swallowed and spat out by a crocodile so thats no good. And my trusty black almond toes are looking mega scruffy but i guess thats what im stuck with.

I was going to buy a pair of shoes from evans (i think i mentioned it already - basically leather almond toe with snake print) but there's also another similiar pair on the website for double the price:....do we like? I like but don't love....hopefully i can try them on tomorrow if i go to marble arch.

http://www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=20554&storeId=12553&categoryId=156953&parent_category_rn=69588&productId=1596133&langId=-1

ok its just gone 8:30pm so im going to stasrt getting ready for bed. I need to get up ontime so that i have time to do my hair. i can't remember the last time i had a truly good hair day!!

So, what do you have to be thankful for? Whats the highlight of your week? Comment below.

Ciao!

Babysitting

Omg I'm so tired! Actually was ready for bed just before 9pm when o
heard my washing machine making a funny noise. Clunky and just
sounding slow (just like it's owner then lol). So I hot out of bed and
shite the floor is wet :(

The door is shut but I think the seal is dodgy so it's not flooded but
it is leaking. So now, at bloody 10:12 I have been sitting on the
kitchen floor babysitting the machine. It's not so bad but I'm worried
that if I go to be is foin to start spinning and the door is just
going to fly open.

I don't know of it's paranoia (probably) but I'm sure the machine is
usually...better. I'm worried that because the door isn't 100% shut
the machine can't go as fast as
It wants. But the other half of me is thinking that there should be a
safety feature that stops the cycle if it detects a problem...but
obviously fr my last flood this isn't the case...argh I hope the wash
is good!!

Sandwich thief

So...let me take you back a few days. A sunny Saturday. I get to work,
bit I'll but glad that I was on time. Get to the office to find my fav
L there and a box of krispy kremes!! Life is looking good :)

What is it they say about not counting your eggs until they've hatched?

At lunch time I pop to sainsburys for tissue (because of course the
day I have a cold I have no tissue in my giant handbag) and apples for
L (apples and doughnuts for lunch, that's why I love her!). Feeling
smug for not spending money on food so I grab some cheesy puffs and
kitkats to eat with my packed lunch (ham sandwich, crisps and diet
coke).

In the morning I had stuffed my handbag in my tiny locker in the ladies
and then I hung up my jacket and hooked my lunch (in a plastic carrier
bag) over the hanger too since there's no room in the locker.

So I het back from sainsburys, pick up my lunch from the locker room
and go to the office. I get there and start unpacking my goodies when
I realise
My sandwich is not in the bag. I check my handbag. I check the
sainsburys bags. I check under the table. Start panicing. I retrace my
steps, ask if anyone has handed in a ham sandwich (cos the crisp and
coke were there). Got a lot of weird looks. Checked in my locker and
in the toilet stalls (even though thinking about it now if my sandwich
had been in the loos I would not have eaten it!).

So basically I did not find my sandwich :( and with sainsburys plus
searching I had about 20mins left so ended up going to cafe Nero and
buying a crap sandwich for over £3. Daylight robbery. And inc all the
sainsburys stuff I ended up spending just over £10. I could of just
gone to the Chinese buffet like usual!!!'

I marked down that incident as unlucky and a funny story I could tell
my grandchildren one day and that was that....or so I thought!!!

Now let me bring you to the present day. I get into work early (ok, on
time) as we had a VIP visit of unspecified time (it just said AM).
Didn't have breakfast and plus was up earlier than usual so I was
hungry hungry.

10am (no sign of VIP) went round the buildin chasing the sandwich lady
and gave up at 10:30 and then a few minutes before 11am sandwich lady
turns up and just as I'm paying for my tuna cucumber sandwich and
ready salted crisps VIP dude turns up too!

Luckily my boss was also paying for his grub so I didn't look like a
complete greedy guys. So I left my late breakfast on my desk and the
visit officially started and we took him to our room and talked about
loads of 'interesting' stuff and we were done just after 12pm!

Get back to my desk. What do I think? No sandwich or crisps!!! I look
in my handbag. I look in my drawers. Te stationary drawer. The bin.
Both my bosses desks. Behind our computers. I check the room we had
the visit in. And then how embarassing is this, the VIP pops round cos
the next person to see him isn't ready and I say "have you seen my
sandwich?". Afterwards my boss was laughing at me and said he couldn't
believe I had asked the man that. But boy i don't ramp when it comes
to my food that I paid for
And after someone had already thieves
My food on Saturday *kisses teeth*

So then o walk around the floor asking if anyones seen my sandwich and
crisps. I tell them what filling it was and why flavoured crisps.
Noones seem nothing.

And I feel bad cos I accussed this guy S of hiding it and o go right
up to his desk and ask him outright and he denies it and I'm getting
quite upset now cos I'm huuuuungry and frankly pissed off. But he says
no ao what can I do? He says maybe it was "ur mate A" but I say no she
wouldn't do that she's my friend.

And then a bit later (it's about 12:20 by this point) I bump onto A
and L and say I can't talk cos someones taken my lunch. A comes to see
me at my
desk and we're talking about sandwiches and then she says "come here I
need to tell you something" so I move away from my desk nearer A2s
(another A) desk and A1 points to the desk and points to the desk and
says something like, "did your sandwich and crisp look like that?" and
lo and behold there's my friggin stuff!!!

I was not happy. Especially on the inside. I was boiling on the
inside. I'd I was a shouty fighty person I think I'd have thrown her
out the window. I hate people doing stuff like that to me. 1) cos
that's a friend you trust who is lying to you and getting other people
to lie to you but also 2) cos if u know me well enough u know I don't
understand jokes or sarcasm, I have too much faith
In the other person, so tricks like these are never fair or understood.

Now I hold up my hands here and say with pride "yes I is a hypocrite"
I have played jokes on people many a times but there's no one as thick
as me so at least the person I'm joking with gets
It!!! For a few seconds when she asked if my stuff looked that I had 2
instant reactions; "wow my stuff did look like that" and "aw A2 found
my lunch and is keeping it safe!!" And me thinking that makes me want
to throw myself out the window for being so thick.

So A1 if ur reading this I'm even more angry now then I was before!!!
There better be something nice on my desk by the end of the week and i
don't want a post it saying sorry! Give me ur first born child or else!

I love huu

Huu aka Lunazian on YouTube is great!!

As you all know I love watching make up/beauty gurus on YouTube and
most of my subscriptions are for the lipstick mafia but my one and
only music subscription is for huu.

He's a yellow dude living in/from France and he sings covers with his
guitar. His voice is like honey and some of the videos give me
goosebumps.

What really gets me is the fact he can't speak (much) English. He has a very
very very slight French accent when he sings but otherwise you would
think he spoke some English. This only occurred to me watching a vid of
him doing a request video of the guitar chords he used for iyaz's
'replay' and he constantly says 'cock' instead of 'chord' (in fact the video is him poking fun at himself but tbh his 'real' english isnt much better it makes me lol)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWD3x9J1f8E

YouTube it if u like schoolboy funny and YouTube him if you like
watching singers on YouTube. I hope he gets a
Contract cos he's put in a lot of time and effort. Pat on the back for
huu! I like the fact that he isn't 'polished' so it seems real and genuine.

Sick of being sick

Hi guys!

Sorry for being such a misery lately (even more so than usual!) but
I'm just so blah cough cough puke puke and it's just depleted any
reserve of goodwill I had!

Any Thai people reading, happy new year for yesterday! I wish you only
good and great things for the coming year :)

So as you know I was all pukey puke and since Friday just gone I've
had a cold and I'm just so sick of being sick! Luckily I think I've
managed my cold quite well so it's not as bad as it could be and I did
go to work on Saturday, where my nose dripped onto a lot of things it
shouldn't have dripped on oops! I hope I haven't made all my Saturday
crew sick, I did go round with anti bac wipes but my germs are super
strength so...we'll see!

The 'good' news is I've worked out what was wrong with me before;
basically there's a bug going round and even though that's gone now
*touch wood* I feel better knowing that that's what it was cos it is
worrying to just start throwing up for days in a row, unless you're
pregnant or anorexic, of which I'm neither. Oooh! Saying that though i
lost 10lbs in the 10 days, but I think I've probably put that all on
today since my appetite is back :) smiley face is cos I'm happy I'm
not dying, obv I'm sad face that Ive put the lbs back on.

Got a story about a sandwich stealing epidemic...read my next entry
coming soon to find out!

Bee's knees

You think the sun shines out of your arse but it doesn't. You think
you are better than me but you are not.

Always think of the other man first. Nice guys might finish last but I
would rather be a nice loser then a d*ckhead.

Would you rather be Jesus who 'lost' or hitler who 'won'?

If something bad was to happen to you would you want people to be
there for you or be laughing at you behind your back?

Even if it is purely for a selfish reason, love thy neighbour so that
if there's a chip pan fire they alert you rather then baricading your
exit!

Grumblings of a mad woman

Hello,

Another lovely day! No snow like I feared lol

What a crap day for me though I'm just feeling so ill. I think it's
just a carry-on from last weekend. My head is constantly killing me
and my stomach has been giving me trouble on and off. I've taken so
many paracetamols :(

I just want to lie down and rest for about 1 month, I think that's
what I need!

....argh! On the way home I popped into the library. In the morning I
had returned the books I had in the drop in box but when I went to
take out my new batch the librarian told me that i still had 10 books
out. I explained to her that I'd returned my books earlier but she
barely spoke any English and finally some other guy came and spoke to
me and explained that they only empty the drop box once a day and I
must have put my books in after they'd done it so they wouldn't be
processed til tomorrow. I was so pisse off, especially because I had
found a jodi picoult I haven't read, "a change of heart" and I'm sure
it'll be gone by Monday :(

Well I better hit the hay. Long day tomorrow :(

Dear Meg and Mog

Hello guys!
So I hope you had a great day and that it was sunny wherever you are.
I had a nice day at work. I spent the AM doing observations and asking
a ton of questions which you know I love and I haven't done it for a
long time
I went to lunch with L and we had Chinese buffet. I ate about a bucket
full of prawn toast yum yum yum but then I had a million sesame seeds
Stuck in my mouth so I was a bit paranoid until I did damage control
in the ladies loos at work.
As you know my new big clock was 'defective' so after work my dad
picked me up from near work (I'd taken the clock into work with me)
and we went to beckton matalan to return it.
Before queuing up at the returns desk I had a look around the home
department to see if they had anymore of the same clock in stock but
sadly they didn't.
So I returned it with no fuss at all and my dad points out in Thai
that there is another of 'my' clock behind the till point. I get
really happy and excited and say to him that I'm going to ask to look
at it but my dad said no because someone else has returned it so it's
probably a crappy lone of clocks so I just left it.
If I was with my mum or by myself I would definitely asked to look at
the clock, I even had an aa battery in my pocket to test it out in
store but my dad is a snob when it comes to shops and it's really
annoying.
He'll say things like, "stop shopping at primark you've got a proper
job now", yes I do...and I've got a house do you want me to spend my
money buying designer clothes instead of food?! Or today he said that
he's happy I returned the clock because he wasn't happy with me buying
it from 'a place like that' and now I can get one from a better
shop....er yeah do u a) know how difficult it is to find a clock bigger
then 50cm diameter? And b) do u know how expensive they can be? Does
he really want me to spend £85 on a clock?! Actually the one I really
want is £125, want to gift it to me?!
Sorry I'm being a brat but I don't like being told what to do and also
when their is no common sense behind it. I get what he means but it
pisses me off that I listen to him but he doesn't listen to me. It's
his way or the highway ggrr
Ok I feel better now I bitched :)

Summertime!!

Today was a nice day. Looks like summer has arrived :)

The weather here was lovely and today I wore my spring jacket. I'm not
going to pack away my winter coats just yet though cos it could be
snowing tomorrow!

The jacket I wore today is an old primarni purchase; a shortish (mid
thigh?) trench style, beige with elbow sleeves. It's got string ties
on the elbows and pockets that youre suppose to tie into bows but
because they keep coming undone I just leave them dangling which does
make me look like an unkempt hobo but whatever!

I need to start looking at all the fake tan stuff which gives me a
headache just thinking about. The buying process is not fun and the
whole application business is beyond torturous and the results...!!!
Last year I got tangoed/I tangoed myself.

Some people find it weird that I go through the whole fake tan
malarkey because I'm yellow but I'm telling you, my legs are so pale
they're blue! And I'm not aiming to be orange but just a human colour
as opposed to corpse.

So tell me, what summer time preparations have you/ are you starting?

Crispy hair round 2

As title suggests I'm having crispy hair issues again!!! It's not
quite the same problem as before; my hair doesn't feel like it's been
deep fried but the texture is really dry and course and I'm rocking a
constant frizzy shroud of hair, kinda like I've been hit by lightening
even with a blow dry and straightners.

I was really stressing cos everyday was a bad hair day and then I
don't know if it's just the shite hair or the stressing but suddenly
my scalp got super dry and I was flaking horrendously!! :(

This was the situation for maybe 2-3 weeks which doesn't sound too
awful but come on man after chopping off all those inches I was not a
happy bunny and was actually thinking about cutting off a lot more
but.....I had a brain wave!

I had a look at my hair routine and products used and the only two
things I had changed was my shampoo and heat protectant. I knew the
shampoo was ok cos I've been using it for a while (bottle nearly
empty) and so I had a think about my hair protectant and lo and behold
after 2 times not using it (used my old brand heat protectant) my hair
is no longer a shroud and my scalp is back to normal!

I'm really happy that I sorted that out without resorting to scissors.
I did have an inkling that my heat protectant was a bad un cos well,
it felt like it was chemicsl burning my scalp!! Which is an obvious
sign I know but to be honest it's a john freida one and quite pricey
to just chuck so I wanted to use it despite the 'pain' but I'm
definitely chucking it now and back to using my trusty loreal.

And I lived happily ever after. I hope!

"Not everybody is moved the way I am moved. It's a beautiful thing."
that's what Didi from this years America Idol said.

I didn't actually watch this series but happened to catch the episode
when she left (I thought she sounded great, and she was beyond
gorgeous) and so I got to watch Didi's best bits vid. She cried when
she was happy, sad, excited, shocked, nervous....you get the picture.

But really what hit home for me was the quote I started with, cos
frankly I am a big cry baby too. And with it I am
I think a 'nice' person and what really bugs me is the way people seem
to equate nice with stupid or that being nice is a weakness.

What kind of a world do we live in where being friendly and polite is
a negative thing?

In my many jobs and roles I've often been told that I'm 'too nice'; I
didn't realise I was applying to become hitlers right hand man! Why
are so many people so selfish and rude? When did it be ok to be a
total b*tch to get what you want or where you want?

I've been shat on and stepped on so many times by simply assuming the
best of other people. I always make the mistake of assuming that
person x has the same morals as I do but more often then not they
don't and they're a lying cheating sh*thead.

I hate that saying "nice guys finish last". And all I can say is be
careful who you sh*t on on the way up cos you'll meet them on the way
down and they might not be so nice second time round. Everybody has
limits.

You want chilli sauce with that?

Hello!

My fav day today but u forgot numerous times as it really felt like
Friday.

At lunch i went to...i dont know what its called but it be to be yates
and i had a chicken, mushroom and blue cheese open baguette and spiral
fries. Delish! An orange barcardi breezed and 2 pints of lemonade.
Yeah I am a hardcore binge drinker haha!

Then after work I went to a different pub. Had about 5 pints of
lemonade and a small diet coke, again with the binge drinking ;) I
don't usually join after work festivities cos I don't drink alcohol so
it's a big boring for me but on a whim o did go and I had a fanastic
time. And I played (and lost) a game of pool, which was fun. I had
such a great time I didn't leave til 9pm!!!

I was starving by then and couldn't bare the thought of having to make
and eat something shite like tuna and pasta or a bloody egg sandwich
so I got a large mixed meat and chips. Spent over a tenner on junk
food today and I feel a tiny bit naughty but I have been pretty well
behaved for a while so I don't think I'll be rushing to church to
confess my sins!

I mist admit, my kebab wasn't very nice. It's probably partly due to
the fact I ate so late (10pm) which regular readers will know is
usually the time I'm in dreamland by then. And there was toooooo much
chilli sauce so I couldn't gobble it down like I'd usually do. My
mouth is still burning! So I guess that's my punishment already dished
out.

So that was my Friday-feeling Wednesday. Change of topic now:

As you know I'm trying to save money/curb my spending on everything
and part of that is project 10 pan. Over the years I've hoarded a
million skincare samples/trial size stuff and all that jazz.

And so i thought that before i open up a full size tun of cliniques
super defense i'd work trough some of my hoarding (if that's a word?).
I just finished using a clinique something something (nothing
exciting) this morning and so I've just popped on my fave Origins 'A
perfect world'; which is a white tea skin guardian aka a fave serum i
think and youthtopia, which is a skin firming moisturiser and I must
say I forgot how much I love origins skincare.

My first foray into branded face gunk was in fact origins purely due
to the fact that the lady who worked at the john lewis origins counter
was an angel in disguise. She was the nicest and most knowledgable
make up countergirl in the world! She must have made a lot of
commision off me and she deserved it. I was all into the mega mushroom
range and only moved onto clinique cos it was way cheaper. Horrid
staff though :( but anyway my face feels nice and I'm happy :)

Omg speaking of skin firming cream, a lady at work thought that I was
the same age as her....which is 38. I get ID'd buying bloody lemonade
for god sakes. I'm trying to placate myself by assuming she was drunk.

Uh oh now I'm sad :( a sad old woman :(

Think happy thoughts!!! ....

You shall go to the ball

Firstly, sorry for my underhand tactics and many many many many thanks
thanks thanks thanks for reading. I am now the proud owner of over 100
views :) I am so so so happy :)

My mum has decided that we are going to the wedding in July, so dress
hunting officially starts now!

So I thought I'd do a shopping/ wish list like I did last time:

•an outfit for the wedding! Including accessories. I saw a really
cute shift in dorothy perkins; White knee length with black trimmings
(looked like either lace or crochet from a distance). Don't worry it
didn't look like a wedding dress!!! Only problem was the lack of
sleeves but it's definitely a contender.

•black mid heels from Evans, with snake skin detail at the back. Saw
this in my local branch, £20. I think it's basically the same style as
my suedette almond toes which is groovy.

•black work heels - basically, if the above doesn't work out then I'm
still on the hunt. I've got an overseas meeting coming up end of April
(ok ok I'm lying it's Wales) so I need smart grown up heels that I can
walk in all day and that don't make my legs look like tre trunks aka
miracle shoes. So desperate I even went into Clarks with my mum. No.
Thats all I'm saying on the matter.

•black across the body handbag. I use to hate this style because
frankly, having a small bag on a too-short piece of faux leather
straining across your flab is not an attractive look. However i am now
quite a fan of this style, and if u get the proportions right and the
strap is a gwnerous length then you and your flab should be fine. The
across body bags that I actually wear across my body as opposed to on
my shoulder are: a prada one my daddy got me a few years ago.
Surprisingly roomy but it's downfall is it's casualness. It came from
the ruchy brassy (I've made up these words sorry) collection so not
great for work. And the other bag is a chocolate brown primark one,
£6. I actually bought it to use as an oversized clutch but I like
using it with the strap too. Style wise it's quite smart but the
colour let's it down on the office front. Wow I think I just wrote a
million words on 2 bags. Shallow much?

•next item is very exciting for me...foundation!! I'm still
officially on project 10 pan but I can't live without my foundation. I
don't know what to get. Jeez this topic could be a whole blog post
itself!! I'll keep it short for now but I think I'll do an in depth
post once I've done more research. Basically I'm debating on clinique
vs a cheap brand.

•A spring jacket. Sadly I have a few in my wardrobe but they don't
fit me anymore. I can't believe I've put on so much bloody weight that
I can't even fit my arm into the friggin sleeve (and it's not even a
full length sleeve, just elbow length!!!!) Hopefully primark will be
able to fulfill this need!

•This is a totally frivolous want but it's a concealer compact. Its
basically a
Compact of different kinds
Of concealers eg green, blue, pink and yellow. I know it sounds odd
but trust me this will save my face!! In an ideal world I want the HD
make up forever one but that's £40 so I don't think I'll be owning
that anytime soon! I've also seen it on lovethymakeup.com (1.99) and elf.co.uk
(3.50)....omg I'm
Such a cheap skank.

•last but not least (I don't understand why people say this? What
does it mean?) ....I want my frigging clock to work!!! Ok this isn't a
prayer to Jesus so what I want is for me to go to matalan tomorrow and
be able to return the clock and hopefully for them to locate me a new
and functional one. Or someone is throwing a hissy fit.

What 3 things do u want right now? Comment below!

Tick tock tick tock

Hi Guys!

Er.... I'm not sure how to pitch this.....happy or sad?

Basically I went to Matalan again this afternoon and I fell in love with a clock (as pictured) in the home section. I paid for it myself and everything and was so excited to get it home and out the batteries in and take a few pics so i could blog about my new found love.

But now I've realised that my clock isn't working, and i'm so sad :( I have been looking for a clock for my living room since June 2009. Anyone who knows me knows how particular I am being about clocks. At the moment the only clock I have is the one in the kitchen which is a gorgeous specimen (thanks to R & S).

This pic isn't great but I put a roll of tissue next to the clock to show how big it is. I love big clocks (snigger now if you have a smutty brain) and it is so hard to get a good sized clock for a decent amount of money (snigger again).

Of course I can march down to Matalan and get my money back but that is besides the point. The point is that I WANT THIS CLOCK!!!!! (And no i cant exchange it for another one becasue it was the last one). AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH

I might need to rethink of my new love for matalan (even though my daddy said that he will take me again when he next gets paid....). I mean, the reason why i ended up in matalan again this afternoon was not because i couldnt stay away but because the grey skirt that i wore to work today (and had bought yesterday) split. So i went to my mums, changed into a god-awful random outfit and took the skirt back to the Charlton store and luckily in this case there was another one of my size so I got an exchange.

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH Im so angry, I want to keep my clock :(

Haul and stuff

Hello guys!

Hope you've had a lovely Easter and a nice long weekend if you're
lucky enough to not work weekends.

This is going to be a quick recap of my day and the story of my new
found love for matalan. *High five* if you heart matalan!!

So last night my mum came to sleepover at mine. She didn't get the
sofabed but instead the floor. Oh well.

In the morning my dad picked us both up as we'd made plans to go to
see woo the Chinese cash and carry in north Greenwich. I love going
with them to look at the weird, wonderful and yummy things. And plus
they pay for my bits and bobs and freebies are always worth getting
out of bed for!

Anyway, as we're driving down Im trying to cajole my daddy into taking
me to matalan. The funny thing with my dad (is this a man thing or is
it just my dad?) is that when I say I want to go to 'x' shop he'll ask
"why?" and generally the real reason I want to go to a shop is just
because I want to have a look around but I never give this answer
because I want him to think this will be a quick stop off and not a
10hour shopping spree. So then I have to come up with something to buy
but this is an even harder answer to come up with. I can't say "jeans"
cos he'll say I have to many or that i shouldnt be wasting my money on
things i dont need and something like a top is too simple and I worry
it's not worth his time and usually shoes or bags are a no no cos
that's not a necessity. I guess knickers would be a good answer but I
really want to avoid talking about underwear with my dad.

Luckily I had an answer and reasoning behind my answer ready. My
soliloquy was basically, "mummy bought me marie claire and in it there
was a bag in matalan that is only £8 and If I buy it online I'll have
to pay delivery charge I need the bag for work because at the moment I
don't have any bag to carry documents round in and I want to make a
good impression so that I can be prime minister one day and if I have
the wrong bag I'll never get anywhere in life and my degree will be
wasted can we please go matalan it's oppsoite next". And breeeathe.
And thank god he said yes!

I can count the number of times I've been to matalan on one hand and
that's including today's trip. Simple reason is that it's usually
located in places that are easier to reach by car. Going to browse in
a random store is not worth a long arse chavvy bus journey. locals
will know what I mean ;)

It's a bit skanky but I must say I really liked what it had to offer.
I guess in the past I was looking for 'normal' clothes to wear, in
which case primark or peacocks win hands down for style and price.
Even new look or dorothy Perkins is in a similoar price range to
matalan and with more kudos (generally it's cheap but not super cheap).

But this trip I was interested in work stuff and for that matalan
really excelled. It was like a cheaper marks and spencers.

I got: a pair of nude open toe pumps £10, a black wool pencil skirt
with wide waist band and pockets £14, a grey pencil skirt with pockets
£14 (I like pockets for my Vaseline and tissue), a gorgeous black
chiffon top with tiny White hearts and a peter pan collar £12 and
finally the bag I saw in marie claire (yah I told daddy the truth).
Which was a grand total of £58. That my daddy paid for :) I've never
been so happy lol

Im really happy with everything I got and I think the only unneccesary
items were the shoes and the top. In a wishlist I posted a while ago I
said I wanted a black and grey work skirt and even though I did get 3
skirts from m&s I'm returning 2 so that's ok. And like I said to my
dad, the bag is a must. I'm the store I sent my dad to the children
books bit to get an A4 sized book to see if it fit in the nag and I'm
glad to report that several A4 books do fit. I think when I have
meetings I'll carry a tiny handbag and then my matalan bag as a
document (and water, and shoes, amd umbrella) bag.

Oh wowee this is a long post. But just very quickly I got oyster
sauce, hoisin and plum sauce at see woo and I'm hoping to make
something delish so look out for a food poisoning story soon lmao

Goodnight xxx

March's In's and out's

It's that time again :) Here's what I was loving and hating in the
glorious month of march:

In's

TV! As u guys might have noticed, for a non-tv watcher I've been
watching loads of programmes. I'm loving: flashforward, misfits
(praying season 2 does yet shown!), Americas next top model cycle 14,
and welcome back Doctor Who!!! Also, my guilty pleasure is Over the
Rainbow *cringe*

Grey/mink suede heels - these were the ones I bought from primark for
the bargain price of £9. Even though I can't walk in them cos they're
so big I can fit a fist in the back I just love the colour, toe shape
and coned heel. As long as I'm just standing and not taking steps they
look gorge! And cos they're so big they don't hurt my feet either hehe

NYC baby pink nail varnish - actually just rediscovered this in my
collection today. A very weird colour that's a marmite item (ie people
either love it or hate it). It basically looks like tippex with a tiny
tinge of pink. Personally I love the colour; it's matt, girly but edgy
at the same time. Unfortunately the £1.99 price point says it all
about the quality. I'll talk about that in my outs actually...

Egg Mayo sandwiches (with or without cress) - regular readers will
knownthat I've just 'mastered' the art of boiling an egg and mashing
it up with Mayo. Heaven!!!!

Out's

NYC nail varnish - just spoke above about my love for the baby pink
but that's where the love ends. I heart the colour and that's it. I
have quite a few NYC colours and whether it's a gloss or matt finish
the quality is crap. It is streaky even if u slap on a million coats
and the colour just seems to disintegrate off ur nails. Seriously, if
I was to draw my nails across a piece of paper the page would be
covered in baby pink tippex!!! But it is about 2 quid so I guess u can
afford to keep touching up!!

Dry hands - I have dermititis on my fingers and it comes and goes,
Sometimes I even forget that I suffer from it. But unfortunately march
was a crap month and my fingers have swelled and cracked from the
dryness. Nice(!)

Being broke! This isna shore entry cos I'm broke every second of my
adult life but I'm hating it and in march I for a lot of letters from
everyone declaring a rise in rates. No friggin rise in my paypacket is
there?! Frigging hate the start of a financial year :(
