Wedding part 3

Welcome to part 3 and the final in the 'wedding' series. This is just a quick and fun post with some sneaky pictures attached (taken in church).

I think that I was a very considerate guest. I fretted over what colours I could wear or couldn't not wear for either upsetting or upstaging the bride. I thought about appropriateness in regards to being in the house of God. I worried about whether I'd be over or under dressed (didn't want to let her down or embarrass her!)

My brother made the comment in church "A lot of girls are just wearing their party clothes" - is that good or bad? Going to a wedding isn't just about being pretty it's all the other things that I mentioned in the 2nd paragraph and more. It is difficult because she need to factor in church and the dinner and the party bit and it's hard getting an outfit that will be great for all 3 bits.

There were a few obvious camps in regards to outfits:

• over dressed (up staging th bride)
• over dressed (going to a rave)
  
• under dressed (going to the supermarket)
  
• too much flesh (Yes, God moulded you from Adam's rib but he does not need to see your tits again!)
  
• mutton dressed as lamb (not my mum!)

There was one girl in church who was wearing the most random creased white linen shirt over what looked like a purple skirt and I even pointed her out to my mum and said "what is she thinking?!" but when we got to the BAC the truth was revealed. The linen shirt was gone (to Oxfam I hope) and she was wearing a show all purple satin dress with all her bits on show and she was strutting her stuff. I was really impressed that she had the initiative to not go to church like that so pat on the back for Miss Thang!

My mum had a girl crush and I admit she was my fav too but I wouldn't admit that to my mum cos I'm jealous. [Mum's crush pictured below] She was gorgeous, and her outfit top to toe was perfect. Hair, makeup, bag, shoes, dress, jewelry, al 5 stars. And her date got 5 stars from me too lol
