Slumber party

Hello!

So at the grand old age of 25 I'm having my first ever slumber
party!!! Well, just one person so not quite a party I guess, maybe
sleepover is a more accurate description.

I've got beautiful V around. She doesn't live in London but her work
have sent her here for a few days. Rather then travel back and forth
she's camping out with me.

I was so excited I've been puking non stop since yesterday and nearly
didn't make it through the work day. But she's here now and so I'm
calm (Well, calmer).

Last night in preparation I was trying to set up the sofabed. 40
frustrating minutes and a lot of sweating I had to give up. But
luckily we managed to set it up today ad my mum provided us with the
fattest fluffiest duvet and pillows so hopefully V has a good good
sleep.

Cos of my 'quirks' I've never had anyone stay with me before or vice
versa so it's all very new and exciting. I hope I can sleep! I'm just
trying to think of it as a holiday. Strangely enough both me and V are
wearing 'i heart NY' tshirts. I wish I was in bloody new York!

Goodnight and sweetdreams everyone :)

What to wear?

Ok, so I've been invited to a wedding (in July). I have never ever been to a wedding before. And I am mega excited. And mega scared cos I hate social gatherings. But I've got a lot of months to prepare myself and if worse comes to worse I could just attend the church bit. But I'm just ignoring the fear bit for now and focusing on the most important thing - what am I going to wear?

There are many obstacles and things to think about when choosing my outfit. The biggest thing is obviously erm, well my big everything. It's not easy for a fat girl to dress herself on a daily basis. It is even harder on a 'special occassion' basis. Especially due to my height and age. There are loads of websites for old fat women of average height and above but nothing for midget round young ladies. And then there's cost: I can't afford to shell out on loads. There are a few lovely things for fat girls but then thats expensive. I mean, go check out Anna Scholtz. Beautiful beautiful outfits but sooo expensive (for my pocket). And because I don't go out a lot I'm not really going to be getting my moneys worth.

Which brings me onto my next thing: colour and style.
Preferably, I'd want to wear black cos hey, after I party hard I can wear it to work too! (Or a funeral).
Next colour choice would be cream. And I've done my online research and this is a big no no. I'm not being funny, but no one is going to mistake me for the bride. And even if the bride to be wore a bin bag there is no way I'd upstage her wearing a white frock and veil, I'm really not the upstaging type (unless there's going to be an eating competition then I would whoop arse!)

In people's mind when they think wedding they think nice pretty party style dress. Either Monsoon or Lipsy type stuff. And so I understand why when I mention black or cream they start twitching but realistically, for me and what my body shape can wear, I sadly won't be wearing those type of dress. I'll be wearing a loose cotton shift with sleeves (or at least short sleeves). And to me, that in black or cream is ok. The only issue is that someone might mistake me for a nun.

My other problem is legs. As the wedding in July that = no tights. As you can see from the picture above, I don't have a problem with the length of my hemline as long as I am wearing thiiiiiiiick tights. Without tights (and nude tights basically counts as no tights, same rules apply) I'm going to have to try and get something just under the knee. Jesus it gets bloody harder and harder per body part :(

Oh and by the way, I don't do trousers. I do skinny jeans and leggings but no trousers. I wear trousers to work maybe twice a year. SO lets just not think of that as an option.

So far I've equated wedding outfit with a dress, how about if I wear a skirt and top combo? That is definitely in my head, and much easier to put together but I'm still in the same rut with arms, legs, dress length, price, size and colour. And add to that frumpiness. I don't want to look like I'm going to the office.

Oh god I've got a headache. Help!!!!!!!

Over the rainbow

Lord Andrew Lloyd weber is looking for Dorothy. I've never seen so
many scary girls (and mutton) in one place. Well apart from when they
were looking for Nancy.

I wish I had gone to audition just to see the shock and fake
acceptance from the judges. "oh wow a fat yellow old girl, just what
we're looking for".

If I got hit by a bus I could always play the yellow brick road. From
Kansas to the moon.

Sunny Sunday

Ok. 'Sunny' is a bit of an exaggeration. But it is light out and I've
got my living room window open (which is actually doors) and it's nice
to have fresh air circulating!

I woke up about 10:30 and them read a bit in bed and then I had
breakfast a bit after 11 but I left my chocolate coffee in the kitchen
counter (too much chocolate to be a mocha, more of a coffee flavoured
hot choc) and just discovered it now - it's nearly 2:30pm. It us cold
but is kinda nice so Im drinking it anyway as i read by the window/door.

Grilling chicken wings for dinner. I know it's early but what happened
was I prepared the chicken while I was doing breakast with the view of
marinating it until about 5pm and then cooking them but for some
reason I decided to chuck in crap in the bowl (usually I do a simple
salt, pepper and dry jerk seasoning but today I omitted the jerk and
added garlic, freshly chopped red chillies, a ton of fish sauce and
soy sauce) and then I put it in the fridge. a while later I started to
worry as to how my chicken would taste. Do u put fish sauce on chicken
wings?! So rather then let it marinate and and take in my creative
marinade I thought if I cook them before the flavour get sucked in if
the xhciken tastes shite I can just peel the skin off and hopefully
the meat should be find if a bit bland. Wow I think that's my longest
bit on chicken wings ever!

Spring forward fall back..

...that's what my manager told me so that I'd remember the clock
change...but since I didn't change my clocks from when they went back
it doesn't matter to me! How skanky am I?! Lol

On the way home from my Saturday job. Had a nice and productive day
and I have achey achey feet to prove it!! I really need to get
something new to wear though (have to wear the current season clothes)
cos we're in the basement and it's so hit and stuffy. Customers
complain all the time and I just think, "a least I get to leave I have
to endure this for 8 hours!!!"

For the past few days I've been getting into bed around 8.30 and them
either reading or playing games on my iPod and it's really nice to
catch up on my sleep. It's 'sleep week' on gmtv and dr hilary says
adults need 6-8 hours sleep a night, I wonder what he'd have to say
about me!

I was looking forward to Monday cos I had a meeting in another office
but that's been postponed so I'm a bit bummed out. Nevermind.

I was thinking about having some sort of gathering at mine but is it
really worth the hassle? And how do I keep everyone fed and watered?
I'd giving tap water to guests rude?! And how do I kick everyone out?
Turn off the lights at 8pm and say "thanks for coming, you can f*ck
off now!!"

.....ooooh it's 2.45am now. I feel all grown up being awake! So as I
started by saying house clocks are fine, laptop and iPod retimed (you
know what I mean) itself so the only thing I had to change was my
mobile.

So what's happened to that hour? Doesnt this spring forward fall back
stiff just prove that time is all in peoples head and doesn't exist?
Does this mean that when I'm late I'm not really late "it's all in
your head!"

Do they do this all over the world? Or just in the uk? I'm confused.

My 100th post!!!

Oh WOW!!! MY 100th post. Well done me! *pat myself on the back*

So what do I write about on my 100th post? .....ok, I've just been googling for some inspiration, and thanks to Chris Brogan, this post is going to be about my "10 guilty pleasures".

10. Sugar on toast - I use to eat this quite often when i was younger and thought it was the norm until very recently when i expressed my craving to a friend and was told the news that 'normal' people don't eat sugar on toast. I was devastated. And ashamed. And now its my guilty pleasure.

9. Watching Jeremy Kyle - for those who are not aware, The Jeremy Kyle Show is a talk show for chavs. Popular issues discussed are "I've slept with my boyfriends dog and I don't know who the father of my baby is, David or Rover"or "My girlfriend has run off with my mum but i want her back". And Jeremy Kyle is a legend. Chief shouty chav. I bow down to you, Sir.

8. Facebook stalking - I'm sure every does this!....don't they?

7. Backstreet Boys - oh how i love thee, let me count the ways! I love love love their soppy love songs. "I'll never break your heart, I'll never make you cry, I'd rather die then live without you....."

6. Reading on the bog. This might not seem such a guilty pleasure cos I'm sure loads of people read when they're on the toilet. But sometimes I'm there for hours. lol ;)

5. Swallowing pills - i get a strange satisfaction in swallowing pills. meds, vitamins, anything. bad.

4. Throwing up out of my nose - nasty but i think i secretly like it. makes me feel detoxed!!! but hurts if its noodles that haven't been chewed properly cos then it feels like my brain is coming out of my nose. Aren't you glad you know?

3. Writing on post it notes. Everyone knows that I like it, but noone really understands how much. And thats why its a guilty pleasure :)

2. Returning things to the store. Sometimes i buy just so i can return. At my local dorothy perkins is the biggest bitch the walk the planet. ever. cow. she is miserable and mean. so sometimes i go to dp in the west end, buy £200 worth of whatever (on my storecard!) and then return it at my local branch. take that bitch.

1. And the number 1 spot goes to......blogging!!! Blogging isn't a 'weird' thing to do but I'm the only person I know (like, know know, not just know of) who does it. And sometimes I do feel guilty about it, to be honest it makes me feel a bit like Hannah Montana, living a secret life lol

Say cheeeese

So I've been trying to sort myself out so that I'd be able to meet the
goals set (update blog inc photo's) and I'm giving myself a bloody
headache.

I've lost the thingmabob that connects my mobile to the pc so no point
taking photos with my mobile.

And my digital camera is crap. I'm sorry camera but tis true. Ur on ur
last legs. I'm currently charging up it's battery and importing
pictures. It says there's 465 pics which can't be right...and it's
taking a million years to import. Hurry up!!

I'm going to hunt for the mobile wire cos I much prefer taking
pictures that way. I really don't wanna be snapping pics in east
London with a camera. How lame an touristy. And a target to be shot at!

Pls wish me luck!

Aims and objectives

Ok, so now that I have my first follower I thought now would be a good
time to assess my blog so far and review my aims and objectives (is
there a difference between an aim and an objective...?)

So my original aim when I started this blog was to make 1 post per
week. Well, I'm definitely whopping that aims arse!!!

My new aim is to make however many posts per week (minimum 1) but one
of those posts must include a photo (whether I'm in it or it's just a
scene/object doesn't matter). As I hope you've noticed I've just
randomly gone through my posts and added some pics on. Pics are old
cos I don't have any up to date ones but I will start taking pics so
that I can accomplish my objective!!

And Ive also decided that I like my blogs lack of direction. In my
newly made intro (at the top of the blog) I say that I'm still finding
my flow and mention all that I write about and now I realise that I
like writing about everything and nothing and I don't want to limit
myself to just reviewing frozen food (or whatever!)

So April 2010 = photos and more ramblings!

Also, I'll be hitting my 100th blog post very soon, how time flies!!!

Thank you so much for reading :)

(ps: how funny, my post about putting up photos is photoless...but I
am blogging via ipenny so pls forgive me!)

I HAVE MY FIRST FOLLOWER!!!!!!!

(Photo taken in 2008, me cringing in a mask, mask suppose to represent celebration as my first follower is a mahooooosive event in my life!)

Oh wow i am so happy. I have one follower!! ONE WHOLE FOLLOWER!!!
She is indeed a beautiful friend but she is not a blood relative so that counts as a legit follower :)
YAY!

THANKS D for following moi!! :)

Lush

Just browsing youtube as you do and came across makeupmel's video "lush starter kit" or something like that.

now, i've always wanted something from lush. anything. just so that i have something pretty (god their stuff is gorg!!) in my bathroom. i've only ever bought one thing from there and it was a massage/cream bar. it was amazing, really moisturing. and it has a chocolate smell so even though i couldnt smell it when i bought it or when i used it, i knew how it smelled (if that makes sense?)

so my problem now is that i want something that looks nice and smells nice but i dont know what to get and i find the staff really scary and intimidating. and its difficult to go into a lush store (or honestly any perfume store too) and say "hello there scary shop assistant. i can't smell. can you pick something for me?" cos then they look at you like a freak and then either fob you off with shite or go above and beyond to hook you up and i feel bad and end up overspending to show my gratitude when really i only had £1.95 to spend.

i've put out a call for help on facebook.....and my friend E has replied yay. and she happens to have a friend who works in lush double yay! (she's recommended a chocolate smelling product though lol)

I really want a lip scrub and a bathbomb, and actually a shower bar too. i did want a shower jelly but i went to look at one in the lush in lakeside and the texture made me feel a bit pukey actually.

can't wait to talk about lush with E tomorrow. hopefully i'll get something to put in my bathroom soon :)

so, have you used lush before? love it? hate it?

.....i'm also a bit worried about the price. don't want to get into a habit i can't afford to keep!

Review of Handle with Care **SPOILER ALERT**

So a few days ago i spoke of my crazy excitement to find jodi picoults latest book 'handle with care'. i devoured it like a starved lion offered a lamb.

here's something i borrowed of her site:

"When Charlotte and Sean O’Keefe’s daughter, Willow, is born with severe osteogenesis imperfecta, they are devastated – she will suffer hundreds of broken bones as she grows, a lifetime of pain. As the family struggles to make ends meet to cover Willow’s medical expenses, Charlotte thinks she has found an answer. If she files a wrongful birth lawsuit against her ob/gyn for not telling her in advance that her child would be born severely disabled, the monetary payouts might ensure a lifetime of care for Willow. But it means that Charlotte has to get up in a court of law and say in public that she would have terminated the pregnancy if she’d known about the disability in advance – words that her husband can’t abide, that Willow will hear, and that Charlotte cannot reconcile. And the ob/gyn she’s suing isn’t just her physician – it’s her best friend.

Handle With Care explores the knotty tangle of medical ethics and personal morality. When faced with the reality of a fetus who will be disabled, at which point should an OB counsel termination? Should a parent have the right to make that choice? How disabled is TOO disabled? And as a parent, how far would you go to take care of someone you love? Would you alienate the rest of your family? Would you be willing to lie to your friends, to your spouse, to a court? And perhaps most difficult of all – would you admit to yourself that you might not actually be lying?"

In my opinion this is one of her best and that is saying a lot cos she rocks my world (read them all apart from picture perfect, change of heart, house rules - released some time now - and harvesting the heart...and wonder woman but not sure if im going to be chasing that down).

Handle with care literally took my breath away. The ending is heart breaking (no pun intended). The book was sad, but also funny and full of such love (that picoults novels often are) but ***SPOILER ALERT*****the ending wow wow wow i wasnt expecting it. basically, at the end, after the huge court/life battle, willow the little girl with OI dies. She goes outside to call her sister in for dinner or something (sorry its been a few days) and then she decides to walk over the ice (pond?) and she's really proud of herself cos she's being careful and she's got into the middle and the ice cracks. she falls into the water and she gets dragged down and cant fight through the cold and the ice. And she's happy because at least this time it wasn't her who broke. Argh you need to read it. Please read it. I've got goosebumps just typing.

For more info about this book and the rest go to www.jodipicoult.com. If you've never read picoult before i recommend them all. you will not be disappointed!!!

Dear Nadine

Hello hello!

Just a ramble.

Nadine Coyle has destroyed Stephen Gately's memory. Ok, not really but the start was terrible!! And tbh i'm only watching it cos it sad girls aloud was on and i heart the girls. I'd shag em all. I guess nadine isnt so great (dont shoot me i still think shes the best thing since sliced bread, thin slice!!) when she's next to ronan, only when shes next to cheryl haha

ooooohhh mikey and shane are very good at presenting!

so anyway, i'm currently waiting for eggs to boil, making egg sandwiches for dinner. its funny cos all last week and the week before i was in tears cos all i had to eat for dinner was a sandwich (or toast!) and now (since saturday) i've been mega mega craving egg sandwich and so i made my first ever one the other day and now ive fallen in love. was a bit confused at first cos wasnt sure how long to boil an egg for and how to actually make the filling but with a bit of facebook help and google i'm pretty good :)

ok, just had 2 sandwiches, feeling sick now. and flat stinks of egg. dont think i'll be having egg sandwiches for a while now (well, at least not again this week!!)

WOW!! BOYZONE AND WESTLIFE!! Must be a little girls dream. All I could think was "wow mikey is short" and that with 8 of them standing there its still only shane and ronan who matter. nm.

given up watching that. watching jeremy kyle's 1000th show instead. the guests are characters from coronation street.......i've only ever watched corrie a handful of times but i still want to see that actors in action. willl let you know how it goes.

hope y'all had a lovely monday x

Boyzone

So I'm watching boyzones tribute to Stephen gately (rip) on itv
player. I'm only 3 mins in but you know how much I like to review
before I know why I'm talking about!!

Who else thinks boyzone dancing is funny? Sorry I know this is a
serious matter but hahahahaha have some dignity men. You made it this
far without moving your feet. Stop it!!

Don't u think that they should of had Stephen gatelys picture in the
latest album cover too? (I guess it would depend if his vocals
featured...I think if there's one note of his voice then that's
enough). That would have been a nice gesture, tribute and a keep sake
for fans.

The boys aren't great at reading the autocue naturally but the things
they are saying make my heart ache.

Ok that's all I wanted to say.

FBI!!

Watching flashforward, amazingly I'm on ep6 so I'm doing ok in regards
to my self imposed deadline (well it does make sense).

(Reading handle with care at the same time.)

Flashforward can be really cheesy at times or am I missing the irony?
But I don't mind cheese.

I hate hate hate olivia (the wife). Hate her!!!

Joseph fiennes is annoying.

Mega crush on the babysitter.

Still not loving the yellow dude but I don't hate him anymore.

I think my main problem with the show is the acting. Great story, good
flow. But the actors are overacting. Do they want an oscar?

Midnight munchies

(Photo taken in Thailand 2008....)

Nearly mid night and still awake. That's what happens when I've got a
good book and a programme to watch.

This week has been a weird one though and hasn't felt like a 'normal'
week which is ultra strange for me because my job role is never
routine anyway, every day is different but this week Ive felt...weird!
(but good weird).

I can't wait for Sunday. I haven't had a lie in 3 weeks (1st week woke
up early to get ready for asda that didn't happen and last week up
early for mothers day and the start time for that was pushed back, so
mega pissed about my lost sleep/Sundays). So this Sunday is def a pj
Sunday and I wish it could be a bed day too bar toilet trips. Maybe
Saturday night I'll get some food ready and keep it in my bedside
drawer haha

Because of my dad and his "no food in the bedroom" rule I never eat
in my bedroom, even now. Only strepsils and water. And thank god i
dont cos I'd have rats as big as horses running around knowing how
messy I eat and how lazy I am with the hoover. Nasty but true lol

Ooooh now I'm hungry!

Well I'll be good and go to sleep now. I hope I dream of cake, ribs,
sausage rolls, Turkish pizza and calamari. And chocolate sauce!

And sweetdreams to you too :)

Handle with care

Oh wow I am so happy! So after work I went to sainsburys to get some
mince and then I went to the library to pay my £2.16 fine and picked
up 4 books (I've already got 6 out), one of which was jodi picoults
handle with care. Finding a current book of hers is like finding the
holy grail!! I mentioned wanting to read this book in an earlier blog
but I never imagined that I'd get my sticky paws in it so soon. I know
it's a lame reason to be so happy but I am I am I am! :)

The problem I'm facing at the moment is book vs flashforward... I'm
watching flashforward on demand5 and I've got 10 days (9 tomorrow) to
watch the series 1 and I'm on ep4 as I type. So I can't really risk
wasting time reading my book (I never thought I'd say that!).

Apps for the iPod touch

Testing testing 1 2 3

Was a bit bored and decided to check out what new freebie apps were available and then I thought I'd search 'blog' and got this app that I'm blogging via now. Not sure how it's different from me sending the posts via email....

From what I've read, they let you test out the basic features for free (aka just typing!) and it says when u pay for it u can so loads more stuff including post photos....so totally useless from a iPod owners point of view!!

Hhmmm I guess it's time to delete this app then! (but I must say if I ever et my grubby hands onto an iPhone I will most def pay for the app).

I want an iPhone argh!!!

I heart calamari

Hello again!

So I'm home now and making a late (well it's late for me!) dinner
(grilled chilli and garlic chicken wings, beat up baby potatoes and a
ready made salad) ....oh crap the chicken is making a bad noise brb...

Ok. I had overloaded the tray and some of the wings were getting stuck
on the grill so I've had to split the load (I'm making enough for
dinner, lunch, dinner and then maybe lunch again).

So anyway! Had a fantastic day with V. She is so sweet and got me a
make up/beauty review book, it's pink!!! Nuff said. And highlighters
cos I like stationery. Very touched :)

(Pic of book's front cover....sorry about the angle I don't know how to get it to rotate....if you're a make up moron and need help setting up your kit this is a really handy book to have)

First stop for us girlies was la tasca. We usually frequent the one on
regent street but because we met a bond street we went to the one on
James street instead. And great choice cos the food was fab and for
once the service was quick (too quick at one point when the waitress
took Vs dish before she'd finish haha)

We had calamari x4, patatas bravas x2, mushrooms in garlic, chicken
croquettes (soley for me cos V is a veggie) and mushroom croquettes. I
heart la tasca with V, it's our special thing. And big thanks to V,
her treat :)

Just randomly, how great is the selfridges window display?!

So then we hit marks and spencers an I tried in a bunch of office
skirts. And I managed to get a black and grey skirt and also a navy
one (which I think I'm going to return...thinking thinking...).

Primark I stocked up on knickers like I said I needed to (forgot to
check out the tights) and I also got a pair of mink coloured suede
heels.

Then V had to go home (she doesn't live in London!) and I hit gap and
got a grey silk tank top. And I popped onto a few other shops but
nothing.

Then I made my way home like a friggin sardine on the central line.

And now I'm burning dinner!

My new thing to watch is flashforward. I know I'm slow to start
watching this but I like to know what happens so I let the series
start and thn eath online and wikipedia the episodes. I'm crap I know.
I started yesterday but due to buffering I only made it halfway
through episode 1 so cant really say if I'm a fan. I don't like the
yellow dude and I'm not a fan of the slow mo...hopefully there won't
be too much of it!

Ok I'm going to go give Joseph fiennes my full attention.

X

Yada yada yada

Hiya Everyone! Hope you had a lovely day. I was happy to see the sun
shining in east London :)

This is just going to be a ramble blog btw...

I just realise that when you go to blogger.com in the top left hand
corner there's a link saying "next blog>>" and when you click it you
go to a random blog. So i've just spent the last half an hour clicking
next next next wow next next wow next wow wow next nex next....you get
the picture! I enjoyed it cos I did come across some good blogs but at
the same time it made
me realise how easily accesible and 'out there' my blog is....scary!

So tomorrow is my fav day Wednesday and I'm working elsewhere
tomorrow. I should go to bed because I'm going to north London on the
train and we all know a) my tardiness issues and b) how I hate the
train so.....I'm going to put this entry on hold and then continue
when I'm on the train...if there's space to get my ipenny out!!!

Night x

Good morning!
It's 8:58, train is leaving at 9am. I was planning to get the 8.21,
8.30 or 8.44 train so I'm a bit angry myself. Scrap that. I'm really
really angry with myself; I woke up at 6.15am and still running late :
( to be fair, I had to stop off at work cos I bloody forgot to take
home my grown up heels but then aain I did know this from last night
so I knew I redesign a bit of extra time. Someone beat me up please!!

Ooooh! Train is moving :)

9.09 moving was a bit optimistic, train is crawling is a more accurate
description. The big question: will I be late? I have no idea since i
don't know where I'm going!!! But experience tells me that, yes, I
will be late :( I've still got my fingers crossed. But then again I
still believe in Santa claus lol

The train I'm on is proper old skool, no audio or visual magic
happening so everytime train stops I'm on alert. No snoozing for me!
(....just checked map, next stop is mine phew!!)

09:17...I could make it by the skin of my teeth.....

I made it in time!!! Was on the wrong end of the train so spent a few
precious minutes waddling down the platform and then a few more
minutes trying o figure out where the high street was and which
direction I was heading in. Once I figured it out I was off like a
shot, only stopping once to change into my grown up shoes once the
office was is sight.

It ended a bit earlier then expected which was nice and now I am in
the way to see V for calamari and girl talk. Looking forward to it but
sad it's started to drizzle and I'm in my office clothes.

From tottenhale hale to bond street was a mission though, was on the
bus for 40mins to Liverpool street tube station. Was interesting
though cos I've never been in those neck of the woods before (passed
through Stamford hill, seven sisters, shoreditch, dalston...)

I really need to get 2 office skirts today, one black and one grey,
hoping to hit the marks and spencer sales. Yes I am a granny :(

Ooohh at Liverpool street finally. Tube to Oxford circus.

Ciao for now xxx

Sun is shining.....weather is sweet yeah.

(Photo taken in Phuket, Thailand 2008)

Hello Everyone!

Hope you have had a lovely day. I am so happy that the sun was shining :)

So, regular readers will know how much a looooove my job, and how i love going to meetings and events at different offices. And you'll also know how much of a flap i get about it too (meeting new people is enjoyable but tough too, no bad hair days allowed!!!). My friends reading this know how much i hate when things dont go to plan.

Anyways, I was suppose to go to a meeting (the big wig meeting that put me in a bad mood last time) and its been planned for a while now and im all excited per usual and i've checked tfl website for the route etc. And then i get into work today (i was on annual leave on Monday) and find out im not going. Major bummer. But then im told that i need to attend a focus event, which is much more fun but its still a change. so tiny tiny bummer lol

So looking forward to tomorrow (life gives you lemons, make lemonade!) as it will be an interactive day (no posh free lunch like the other meeting though!!)

Look-see

Hello my beautiful blog readers!

As you know I usually blog via my i-penny/email and so i never see what you see but today i'm on the laptop and just having a look around. i must say, i like the shorter-style blogs, they are much easier on the eye!

i was reading a few style/fashion/beauty blogs trying to pick up some tips and personally im not too fussed about the actual length of the blog entry. i kinda think you get more bang for your buck if the post is long.....the only thing i really wish i could change/improve with my blog is the visuals.......i wish that i could have a picture for each entry, i think it would really help make it a bit more 'fun'. but if i was to get into that habit it would mean having to get onto my laptop everytime i blog and i really dont want to do that.......we'll see we'll see.........

so....tell me, do u like it short and sweet? or are you ok with my long ramblings? please comment below!!

Goodnight!

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?
At least twice, morning and night
-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
this is a difficult one, cos i'm a combo but opposite from the usual; instead of an oily t zone and dry other bits, ive got a super dry t zone and oily other bits.
-What is your current facial wash?
a tea tree face wash...about 98p from wilkinsons, its brilliant!

every morning. i brush my teeth and use my face wash at the sink. and then i exfoliate my face in the shower.

we never see celebs without make up so choosing one on assumption would be silly as make up can work miracles.

because if you eff it up theres no going back. all those lotions and potions cant rescue anything despite their fancy names.

i dont. makes my face look like its been dipped in acid.
-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
ive bought a few skincare products and nail varnishes....
-Do you like drugstore makeup?
LOVE!!!!!!!! Originally, i'd say eyeliners, mascaras and nail varnishes, if u can get away with paying 99p then buy it! And now i'd also say i heart drugstore foundations. if you've got the patience to find the right shade/coverage etc then it can be great. the only thing i believe getting in a 'high brand' is bronzer/blusher (drugstore makes me break out).

Hair review

It's been 2 weeks since I had the chop. I wanted to give myself time
to get use to it before I said anything.

Well basically I still can't really say anything. It's like not liking
veggie burger because it doesn't taste like dead cow. And what I mean
by that is that I hate my 'new' hair but only because it isn't my
'old' hair. The haircut is brilliant blah blah blah but I wish that I
didn't need to cut it, I wish the crispy bits couldve gone without
losing the length. I'm such a wimp.

Cons: not as long as before, which means I can't pretend that it's my
cape when it's windy!!!

Pros: it's now a much more practical length and it fits in those claw
clips things.

Easier to dry and straighten.
People have stopped asking if I've got a weave.

Looks slightly more professional, I don't look so much like a crack
whore who needs a comb and deep conditioner.

So...I'm happy i got it cut cos I really did need it. Im trying to
keep better care of my hair so that hopefully I can grow it back to
the same length but less crispy.

Gosh I love the word crispy. Reminds
Me of deep fried. Which reminds me of allll my favourite foods :)

How to lose friends and alienate people

Film 'loosely' based on the book of the same name by toby something,
starring Simon pegg, kirsten dunst and megan foxxxxxx.

I really enjoyed it. I watched it last night to pass the evening and i
would recommend it. It's not brilliant but it's good enough.

And megan fox is in it for gods sake!!! She looks super hot in the
movie and plays an up and coming starlet. One thing that confused me
was her acting/character; I know that the character was suppose to be
super dumb but was megan fox acting well or just playing herself? I
really couldn't tell. Whether she is portraying dumb, sexy, scared,
worried, angry....same face. But what a great face lol

****SPOILER ALERT********

I wikipedia'd the ending when I was halfway through as usual but the
entry wasn't very good so just to be a cow, here's how it ends: Simon
realised what a wank he is and he and kirsten get together. The end ;)

Am I bothered?!

I'm starving
I'm miserable

And I hate it when others tell me I should be grateful for what I
have. I am bloody grateful and I want to have a moan so could you
please keep your wise words to yourself? I'm spoilt, not stupid.

This rant is brought on by someone who when I said "I'm starving" told
me "you're not starving your hungry". Yeah. And your a prick.

Shopping list

Shopping list; list of shopping needed. Nuff said!

Sweetener - really bad for me because where I'd usually have 1
teaspoon of sugar in my tea I'll have 50 tablespoons of sweetener. But
I like the fizzy noise it makes when I add hot water fffiiiiiiiizzzzzz

Card and present for mothers day!!! Argh! I'm a bad person. I was
going to say that I haven't had the time but that's a blatant lie. I
just haven't made it a priority and now I'm in panic mode. An I can't
afford panic present buying. Argh!!!!!

Knickers and tights - elastic gone, knickers and tights round my
ankles. Fanbloodytastic(!) Hopefully seeing V on Wednesday so might be
popping into primarni. I'll be excited buying something even of it's
granny pants. As long as it's isn't 99p store or sainsburys I consider
it a luxury lol

Purse thing - I say 'thing' not due to retardation but lack of a
word...I don't need a purse but I need something small that I can put
a bunch of cards and coins in that will fit in my tiny handbag...I've
got a gorgeous LV coin purse but it's a funny shape (cards won't fit).
At the moment I've got my cards and cash running around loose in my
handbag so this 'thing' is a must before I lose everything. Hopefully
primarni can rescue me!

Food!! I've had toast for dinner two days in a row now :( I'm sad,
cold and hungry. But still fat. Life is crap lol

Oh bloody he'll that's already more then I can afford. Someone send me
a cheque please!

The magic number

I thought I'd make up for lost time and so here is random blog number 3!

5 facts about moi:

1. My favourite words are: random, listen, pillow and marshmallow. Say
The words out loud. Loves it! Sometimes if I feel a bit argh I just
say the words and I feel a bit better. Weird....!

2. My first word was 'crocodile'!! I use to have a soft toy croc
(baddie cartoon character from the getalong gang) and I must have
loved him! My mum still has him in the loft I think.

3. Every night when Im ready to sleep I lie down and then I put a
strepsil in my mouth and then go to sleep and let it dissolve during
the night. (touch wood) I've never choked on one!! Sometimes I might
have 3/4 (in total; one at a time) and when I wake up in the morning
it's still there, which is a waste cos then I have to put it in my bin
so that I can brush my teeth.

4: I drink 2 pints of water during the night. And I don't ever
remember drinking or topping up my glass (or popping another
strepsil!). Better then naked sleep walking lol

5. hhhmm this is quite hard because I've already said loads about
myself in the other 70 odd posts.... I love adverts! And it's quite
random because as we know I don't like watching tv programmes. But ads
are cool (not all of them admitedly) and some of them
Are so well done it amazes me.

So, what are your favourite words? Do u have any weird bedtime
routines? Do u love ads or find them a nuisance? Comment below :)

One sweet day

I've had an ok week. Still need to pull myself together though. I wish
I could go to a forest and just scream for 20minutes. That would
really clear the cobwebs!!!

Sometimes I scream into a pillow but I am wary of my neighbours so it
takes the fun out of it. The next best thing is putting on some cheesy
old school stuff really really loud (eg boyzIImen!) and singing along.
(it still freaks the neighbours out but I least I don't play Thai pop
songs lol)

On the other end Of the scale I love to unwind by just being in
silence and reading or even just thinking/day dreaming (I know
thinking is old fashioned but I think it's good to give ur brain that
space and quality time!)

So what do you do to relax and unwind? How do you calm yourself down
if you're pissed off? Comment below!

Follow your dreams

Live to make yourself happy so that you can be happy to make yourself
alive.

Everyone should have something that is sacred to them that they won't
compromise.

It's been nearly a week since I last blogged. And I'm ashamed to say
it is partly due to me hibernating (from myself!) and also because I
read a blog written by an 'expert' about "how to write a blog/top 10
mistakes a newbie blogger makes" and it just made me feel a bit stupid
and a bit crap with my lil blog. Every time I've tried to write I just
kept getting stuck
and I kept questionig every thing I was writing (in accordance with
the tips and rules!)

But then I thought, hold up! Fuck this!!! I will write what I want. I
can just fill 2831484 lines with gggggggggggggg and that's my choice!

I started this blog for my benefit and it's something I really enjoy.
In person i smile every minute til the sun shines out of my arse. If I
want to be a grumpy b*tch on my blog then I will (grumpiness is
against the rules).

Rules are made to be broken. Isn't that what they say?

There's no I in 'team'...

....and there ain't no U in 'team' either!!

This is a lighthearted rant about teamwork. Simply, (and no big
surprise) I don't like working in pairs or in a team, I prefer to fly
solo. Now, dont get it twisted, let me make this clear, I don't like
it but I'm bloody great at it.

I don't like it because honestly, sometimes you get stuck with a bunch
of losers and that mega sucks.

However I am good at working in a team because I am bossy and fussy
but at the same time I'm not hitler so I'm not resented so things get
done and you might not love me at the end of the day but you'll
definitely appreciate me which is good enough.

The plus to teamwork is that (usually) 10 pair of hands is better then
1 pair no matter how brilliant you are. But on the flipside what about
the cliche "if you want something done do it yourself"?

And I hold up my hands. I can be the loser in the team. I'm not great
at following verbal instructions and need everything written down cos
i've got the memory of a goldfish.

What do u feel about teamwork? Are u a Robbie Williams or take that?

Review of 'stylista'

As promised here is a short (edit - no
Blog is ever short whilst im in charge!!!) review of stylista - as I
said before, stylista is an American programme (aired in the US and
Canada) produced by tyra banks in 2008. Shock horror it follows the
same format of Americas next too model and follows 11 people battling
it out to win the prize, which is: the position of junior editor at
elle magazine, an apartment in new York all expenses paid and a £10000
clothing allowance at H&M, all for one year.

It wasn't picked up for a second season and I'm surprised, not because
it was good but because I thought these bubble gum brain shoes did
well regardless bu I guess tyra fans don't like watching ugly people.

To be fair to the show I'm only on episdoe 3 and actually so far so
ok. I like these type of programmes, it requires no thought or effort
on my part.

I think it's downfall could be down to 2 things: (as always big
apology re mispelling of all names!) the elle honcho anna stowey, she
comes across as so fake and insincere, and I don't mean fluffy fake
but I mean she doesn't come across as a person! When I watch her I
wonder if she is real or a really shit actress. Downfall número 2 is
the editing of the show. It's an hour run inc ads which is the same as
antm but I feel thy the viewer is always being rushed on. This will
chnage once there's less contestants but by then no one will be
bothered.

The contestants...tied in to the previous paragraph, there are
actually 3 downfalls and this is it. I don't know how they picked
these people but they suck on many levels. in regards to the editing
flaw, I think one of the reasons why it's done as it is is because
they focus more on the contestants fighting then on work done. and
that's cos the contestants are crap. None of them
Should be able to polish the elle door sign. Actually, none of them
would be able to do it cos they are dummies.

Megan - 22yrs old boutique owner. Spoiled little rich girl. A bitch. A
bully (I don't know how they show these people on air - isn't bullying
at work illegal or anything?!) Styling and editing wise she is quite
good.

Ashlie - now arch nemesis of megan. She is also quite good but is
annoying. Megan is a bully and knows it an isn't ashamed. Ashlie is a
fucking big headed cow and needs to fall under a moving train.

Dayshaun - "I don't sleep with girls" yes we can see that u ugly
midget. Megans wingman. Nuff said! (and not good at the elle stuff)

Daniella - hahahaha big fat moron. "I think people look at me and
think I'm bigger then them" honey your bigger then an elephant for
feck sakes. And it's a bot patronising to have her on the show cos I
know in real life elle wouldn't employ an elephant with no style.
Jeans and t shirt doth not make a stylista!! And I know I am a baby
elephant but I look better then her. Plus she needs to wear more make
up. Shovel it on baby shovel it on!! (omg that could be on my grave
stone!!!)

Katie - oh wow. 22yr old law student. Big titties that she likes to
have on show. Old woman make up (you know, she looks like she works on
the make up counters). Dayshaun and megan call her "boobs". And
"fucking bitch" but that's another story. At the beginning you feel
really sorry for her cos she sticks out like a sore thumb and the
vultures start picking on her straight away. But by the end of episode
1 I was praying for someone to bash her over the head with their
laptop. She is annoying. Stupid. Useless. A sponge. Has no style.
Stupid stupid stupid. Backstabber. Dumb.

And then obviously there are more people but I don't hate them so much
so no fun writing about them lol

Conclusion: erm...watch it if ur bored. Don't throw anything at the tv!

Human beans

Hello! How is everyone? Hope you are all hunky dory :)

It's been a while. Apologies for my last outburst, I just needed to
let go of my negativity (wow I sound American), but in truth apart
from feeling sheepish towards you now it was really useful for me to
just purge my sad soul.

So now? Now I'm ok. I think it's been a looong week and I've been
hibernating from life but now I need to pull myself together and just
get on with it. Life.

Tomorrow will be good, got a really busy day. I have 3 interviews to
do that I've set up and then possibly an extra 2 if anyone else
scheduled some during the week; if there's 3 I'll have time to do
other stuff but if it's 5 I'll be in the office pretty much all day.

I did actually write a long blog the day after my lil breakdown but it
just got wiped off without autosaving, I was gutted actually and have
no idea what I was talking about...but then again I never do! ;)

I guess this will just be a quick update of my week...
Tuesday was spent in a different building doing observations for the
same project as last time. Day starteded off really bad. Security
wouldn't let me through and blah blah blah and then I had to spend
time with such patronising people and it is soul destroying and it
wears me down. And I don't think it's just about me being over
sensitive. I think I get worn out because I'm trying to supress my
anger at their rudeness and ignorance, and also I'm trying not to hit
anyone and self control is tough work (ok ok not really but I'm
argh!!). Saying that, people often think I'm weak or see my niceness
as a weakness but in fact it takes much more strength to hold back and
smile at someone u wanna punch...ok ok I'm a pussy!!

Erm, well Wednesday I had my lil boo hoo blog. That was a good day in
general though, was happy to be back in my office.

Thursday was really good. Had the funniest day and laughed loads. Even
though I might get a bit stressy I love my job and I know I'm blessed
to do what I love/love what I do and to also love the people I work
with. My managers are amazing; the rare combination of great boss and
great person (though I've struck gold cos L is also one of those rare
beings), and I've got good real friends at work.

When i was younger my dad use to say that having friends wasn't the be
all or end all of life (or having a lack of friends!) and that you are
your own person blah blah blah but realistically for me, I don't
socialise, so friends at work are really important because they are
the only regular human beings in my life. I'm raring to go back to
work on Mondays because I've usually spent Sunday in complete silence,
no friends, no music, no tv (but I love it though!). if I had to
choose to be alone or with others I'd always choose to be by myself
but a mixture of the two in small doses is just right for me.

Friday...had a morning training session. Was the best ive ever done!
It was great and im really happy with myself, I'm slowly improving,
and I've mastered breathing and talking at te same time yay me!! Of
course major props to the attendees, fantastic questions and they
stayed awake for it all lol

ive been trying to watch something, anything online but couldn't find
anything until I stumbled across 'stylista' a 2008 creation from tyra
banks (only 1 season commisioned). 11 contestants battle it out to
become junior editor of elle for 1 yr. I'll do a review of that soon
methinks.

Well I guess it's bedtime now, don't want to be late for my Saturday
job do I!

:(

I am sad now. Overwhelmed with sadness. Underwhelmed with happiness.
I've taken a break from crying to type this. My chest feels so heavy I
think if type it might get rid of the sadness, make me lighter inside.
Why am I so sad? Because you made me sad. I've had a lost that can't
be put into words. A lost that gains no sympathy or hugs.

There is worse in the world. I could lose my keys, my leg or my life.
But I've only lost you. And I lost you a long time ago but I only
realised today, so today I'm sad. And I'm ok. Its ok to be sad. One
day only though. Like an exclusive event. Cos ur not worth more then
an evening anymore.

Are u sad about me? Have u even realised that I'm gone? Am I worth
missing? Am I worth anything? I'm a shit friend but I'm sad so I did
one thing right in mourning you. Uve forgotten me so turns out ur the
shit one. Yay I've won. I've won in losing you. I'm a winner. A
sinner. A singer? Sad sad ballads. Celine dion? I can't think once let
alone twice. Toni braxton? Things can't be unbroken, that goes against
the laws of physics. How about ....

Enough of sad songs. Enough of being sad. Enough of you. I'm ok. I'll
be ok. I hope. Plenty more friends in the sea right? And I'm not
bloody 13 any more for god sakes. I've got credit cards. I could buy a
friend from russia if I wanted.

Sayanora bitch.
