Bringing Penny back

Hi Guys,

It's Sunday so despite the sling situation I thought I would stick up a few 'normal' posts; I don't want to get out of the swing of things again.

My days have been pretty lame as you could imagine.

Something (that I find) exciting is that a few girls at work went out and brought the Barry M Instant Nail effect nail paint that I showcased the other day with my yellow base.

I changed to a grey (Barry M) base that was much nicer - AY did them for me, she also did her's grey and crackle and loves it :)

And then my friend R has a red base:

Another friend N had a hot pink base but no pic I'm afraid. I guess this 'look' is a marmite thing - either love it or hate it. I have a feeling a lot more people in my building will have this but I'm happy to share the love :)

Friday was a nice day. First day at work in the sling but I was just training so didn't need two arms! At lunchtime we had lunch with the trainee's and it was really nice. It's a long training period so the bonding is important I think.

I ate this:

I picked it off the menu simply because it was the only main meal I could eat with my hand. But my plan was foiled when they put a burger as big as my head in front of me. My manager had to end up cutting the burger into half for me :S It was very yummy though. And the 'fat chips' were amazing! Bloody expensive though.

Yesterday I went into work (Saturday job) - I didn't know my shift had changed so turned up for my 9:30am shift (to finish at 18:30) only to find out I was doing a 10:30-19:30, so I ended up doing a 9:30-19:30!!!

Very tiring- I didn't get home til 21:00 and that was me getting the tube (bus very jolty = painful for my arm). And because of my arm I was even more tired. It's very physically exhausting to have to hold your body a certain way. And the weight of my arm was giving me neck achne, shoulder ache and back ache :(

Luckily today is a day of nothingness. YAY PJ DAY! :) Happy Halloween - noone has rung my buzzer buts it's only 18:30 so I guess there is still time. The clocks also went back today. I woke up really early anyway so didn't make a difference to me.

Been watching a lot of tv no surprise. Caught up with last night's X Factor; loved Cher - I think I love her regardless; or more accurately, I hate her the least!!!. Not really supporting anyone but Cher is a much-watch for me. I take wee breaks during Mary and Trey-C's performances.

Watched the movie 4.3.2.1. Sexy! Bit depressing more than exciting (which I assume was the desired effect.) Recommended to lesbians/closet lesbians. Too girly for guys to find sexy. (But you can always fast forward to the naked bits...)

Also simultaneously wathcing two Selena Gomez 'movies' at the moment - "Princess Protection Program" and "Ramona and Beezus". Opinions to come later.

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. A big big happy birthday to AY <3

Asos Curve - 'Un-haul'

Hi Guys,

This is a belated post but thought I'd do it anyway...

On on 10th October I ordered a few things from Asos.com. I ordered 4 pair of boots, two dresses and a pair of denim shorts.

On 13th October there was an attempt to deliver it (supposedly) but anyway it ended up at my local Post Office. I went to pick it up on the 19th Oct and boy I was shocked at the size of the box (but what did I expect with 4 boot boxes in the order?!)

(This might sound boring but this is the 'funnest' part of the whole thing, the 'haul' itself is crap.)

I had picked up the box at lunchtime so took it back to work. At the end of my work day i excitedly opened up the box. At this point in time I'm neither impressed or unimpressed, just a bit 'whatever'.

Basically I can't take the box home because it's too big to walk with it, and too big to take it on the bus. So I try on all the boots at work (more on that in a bit) and I decide to take home the clothes to try on.

No pictures of clothes because frankly, FUGLY.
Dress 1 was a 'waterfall dress'; a dressy dress with giant frills down the front. Potentially gorgeous maybe, but it was waaaay too big for me, so much so that the shoulders were slipping off.

Dress 2 was a big big let down; a work dress. Totally not what I was expecting in terms of fabric or style. I remember wanting it when it first came out but at £40 I was not getting it. I brought it for £12 so it's a shame I hated it. Was umming and arring about keeping it but what was the point? And then i realised it was dry clean only so that was my mind made up!

And then the denim shorts. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Again, potentially would have been ok but they were massive. I could put them on without undping any fastenings. And then they fell straight down without any effort. - In regards to getting dress 1 and shorts in a smaller size; it wouldn't have worked.

Now the boots....all gorgeous. I basically got two styles, each in a black and a natural/tan/camel colour.

Boot 1 was a low ankle boot with a mid cone heel and a laced back. Basically too small :(

Boot 2 was a mid ankle boot, again with a mid heel. Basically a girly Chelsea boot.

So........out of that stuff, the only thing I kept was the black chelsea boot. And it's not love but it's a staple and it was a crazy bargain so I couldn't return it!

Better luck next time!!!

xoxo

BRB

Hi guys!

Just a quick post. Arm is in a sling so I can't really put up any
'proper' posts; typing with one hard is very tiring, and trying to
take photos is pretty tough too.

I can't even get dressed without breaking into a sweat from the
effort, hair is argh and my make up is minimal. I'll be rocking the
zombie look for a while methinks!! Lol

So yeah, apologies to you my dear blog reader.

Hope you have a great weekend,

See u soon

;)

61 days til Christmas!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share with you all some christmas decorations I got today.

But let me regale you with the back story first....

Once upon a time, Princess Penny moved into Penny Palace. In December she brought a big Christmas tree and proudly put it up. However, due to her lastminute.comness she only had one type of decoration - silver icicles. So this year, Princess Penny was adament that her first christmas tree would not be spending another xmas semi naked. So she raided her local poundstretcher. YAY for poundstretcher :)

The 'look' I'm going for is....erm, tacky. LOL Well, my colour theme is silver, white, touches of black.

So this is what I have so far:

[What would a tacky tree be without...Disco balls! -'mirror baubles' - in regular size (£1.49 for 6),
And mini disco balls (£1.49 for 12)]

[Glittery Reindeer - 99p for a pair]

[More glitter! Stars, 8 for 99p!!]

[No more glitter but something even better - Sequins!! 3 for 99p
They are white but as you can see in the pic,
they have a pink tinge depending on where the light hits]

I'm really excited about Xmas. I am not usually, buti think the xmas decorations has rekindled my xmas spirit. Last xmas was a bit of a fizzle, so hopefully this xmas will be great.
I just spoke to my mum on the phone and as my brother is abroad for xmas she was saying her and my dad might be coming to mine for xmas. Not sure what they will think of my blingtastic tacky decorations. They are more of a red&green traditional theme themselves....

I can't wait to dress my tree. When do you think the earliest time would be acceptable? I guess it would be a good idea to wait for halloween to be over lol

Barry M - Black Magic Instant Nail Effect

[crap close up]

YAY!!!

I am very happy, I have managed to get my hands on Barry M's 'Black Magic, an instant nail effect paint.

I wrote about it on a previous post not long ago and I'm happy I got it so quickly. And the better news is that I got it for a bargain price. I heart bargains :)

RRP is £3.95 but I got it when a 2 for £5 offer was on at Superdrugs (bless you Stratford. So I got 2 black magic's for a fiver instead of £7.90, but not because of my usual bulk-buy tendacies, but for my mate R who wanted one too.

Anyway, lets get to the fun bit, photo time!!!

[naked nails]

[chosen base colour was Barry M's Lemon ice cream]

[YAAAAY!!!]

Pro's

Super duper cool!
Does what it says on the bottle, no hassle instant effect.
Very fast - the black magic dries in like, 10 seconds!
Bargain price, even at normal RRP
You can change the effect (big/small cracks) by how thick you paint your nails

Con's

Tooo fast!!! - Because my nails are long, I could barely paint my nail before it dried and started cracking, and overlap of black magic is a no-no, but I think it's still great.

Conclusion?

I love it!!! It's really fun and watching it dry is fascinating lol I can't wait to try it over different colour bases and see the different effects.

If you like what you see in the pictures then I would recommend you to purchase it to. Obviously it's not everyone's cup of tea.

One concern I have, and this is a personal concern, is can I rock this nail look at work!? It's a bit OTT and flashy....and not very 'professional' (unless I was a trendy hooker lol). But I am going to wear it tomorrow and hopefully I won't get any frowns of disapproval.

What do you think? Be honest!

xoxo

[EDIT!! FYI: Really important to let the base colour dry. And also, once my base colour and black magic were on and dried, I slicked on a coat of clear polish. ]

02 Greenwich

Some more pics from my brothers bday dinner. My outfit is lame because I didn't have time to change after work.

Happy Birthday Lil Bro!

Better late than never.... On Oct 20th was my little brother's birthday. I just thought I'd share some pictures with you.

[Ok, my little brother isn't quite a toddler, he is now 24]

The family went to dinner together...we had no plan as to where to go, so we went to the O2 and chose a place. We ended up in: Rodizio Rico, a Brazilian Grill. I've always wanted to go here. Their tagline on their website is "No craving is too large". And then they met me. Jokes lol

[me being a loser outside the restaurant]

In my mind, Rodizio Rico is basically a meat buffet. But the cool thing is that the waiters walk around with different meats/cuts of meat (lamb, beef, chicken, pork, fish) on skewers and carve it for you if you want it.

There are 3 options on the menu:
  • Meat eater (£22.50)
  • Vegetarian (£15.50)
  • Kid 5-11 years old (£11.50)
If you are a vegetarian you get a plaque saying 'veg' which is on your table and you can help yourself to as much salad (and 'stuff' from the buffet salad bar).

If you are a meat eater then you have access to the salad bar too for salad, potatoes, rice, stew, pork crackling, lasagne, pasta, crotons, bread, sauces etc (unlimited visit) ...

...and then you get this for your table (each person):

Genius use of visual management. Basically, if you have it red side up the waiter with skewers won't offer you their meat (hehehe sounds naughty) but if you have it green side up they will stop and offer you their meat (hehehehe). Of course me and my brother had it green all the time. GO GO GO GO, FEEEEEED ME!!!

[Before]

[After LOL]

[Chicken hearts. ARGH I didn't eat this, wasn't brave enough.
My mum and brother did though and they said it was 'ok']

Not-so-Smart Phone

Hi Guys!

So I really really really want a new mobile. But I'm not good with all this technology stuff; it's pretty amazing I blog!

The crap news is that I'm not due an upgrade until March 2011, but at least this gives me plenty of time to research and make up my mind on what I want.

Apart from the fact I'm a techno moron, my other problem is budget. I would like a fancy phone but I can't afford/don't want to pay big bucks, so it does limit me somewhat.

But in my usual way, despite complaining about cost I am going to tell you which phones I'm currently interested in and you'll see I haven't really given any regards to the price....but thats the joy of upgrading duh!

Before I say which phones, here are some of the important things (to me) that need to be considered:

REQUIREMENTS
  • Easy to use - I don't want a phone that I can't figure out how to unlock/lock, or how to answer a call!!
  • A good camera - they might not always make it online but I do take a lot of pictures for my blog, and plus, my actually camera is crap so I basically use my camera phone as a camera.
  • Easy to blog from!!! - this is my most important thing. Because, in my view, all phones these days, esp the smart phones, are very decent and for me it would be a matter of chosing which one i like the most cosmetically, but because of this blogging malarkey I do need a phone that I can snap a good pic with and then pop it onto 'blogger' with a caption or an essay.
  • Pretty - I want a sleek fancy phone.
SHORTLIST

  • Iphone 4 - standard! I think the main thing stopping this from being my choice is the lack of a decent bargain with t mobile.....and I am also under the impression the camera doesn't have flash?
  • Samsung Gaaxy S - noone seems to be a fan of this, but when i went to cambridge i met up with S and he has this phone and he seemed to like it a lot and I trust his technological view. Plus it seemed to work in a similiar way to an iphone so at least I'd be able to make and receive calls lol
  • HTC Desire - this only just made the shortlist since yesterday. So i know nothing about it. Apart from it comes in brown?! WTF?
  • A blackberry - i had a blackberry before and i hated it. But this was yeeears ago and i had no internet so that was pretty crap. I am still not a fan of the blackberry, its a bit chunky, but everyone seems to love it so....i have no idea about all the different styles though. And I would like a blackberry because i want to stick some bling on it! lol
So out of my shortlist, what do you think? Best? Worst?

Please comment below, in particular if you know anything about blogging functions and also, what does 500mb equate to?

Thanks :)

WANT!

I seriously need to win the lottery or rob a bank. I want these boots. NOW.

Evans, £120.

Nail Paint Stalking Session

Hi Guys,

OMG OMG OMG!

It's been a while, but I have fallen in love and am on a major huntage for a nail polish. Barry M's Black Magic to be precise.

It's not a normal nail paint, it's a 'nail effect'. Basically you paint your nail in whatever colour you want, wait for it to completely dry, then you paint the 'black magic' on top and you end up with a crackle effect, with the base colour showing through the black 'cracks'.

AMAZING!!!!

Searched my local superdrugs with no luck :( but i will not give up ...(i ain't desperate enough - yet - no pay for postage and package!)

This crackle effect polish is not a new invention, a few brands did it a while ago but i guess since we (I) are more nail obsessed these days and barry m is so accessible in the UK it has a whole new lease of life.

Fingers crossed I get my hands on this, can't wait to show you!

********************

The image below [thanks google images!] shows an example of the crackle effect using 'mia secrets' in blue...barry m only has black at the moment.

So the person painted their nails in...I don't knowm nude or a grey? and then painted a layer of blue crackle on top. As the blue dries, it cracks. The lighter you paint the smaller the cracks, the thicker you paint the bigger the cracks. COOL!

:)

Monday blues

Hi Guys!

Hope you are all well and had a fab weekend. For the first time in a long time I had a crap Monday.

Usually I love Monday's because I enjoy going back to work and getting back into the swing of things but the past week or so has been crap for me health wise, and a week prior to that work was stressful which I guess hasn't helped.

If you're a following of my twitter account you're probably aware that I've been unwell, and today is the 10th day. I was getting better but then suddenly yesterday I was feeling beyond shit again :(

Went into work with a banging headache (mostly from the dry gut wrenching coughs) and a throat that felt like I'd been eating razor blades for the past decade. I couldn't take the day off because I already missed a whole week (which is why I posted about a million posts recently!) and today was the first day of a 3 week training event.

I wish I had bloody taken the day off though because I was a total moron-zombie. I didn't speak all morning to conserve my voice and when it did come to my turn....boy I was shit!!! Oh well, I have a whole 3 weeks to redeem myself....

Oh yeah, what's wrong with me? I don't know! And doctor's don't know :( But I am slowly getting better so that's good at least.

Wow that was a long moan!

Sorry this picture isn't very clear but on the way to work this colourful woman was walking in front of me so I had to take a sneaky picture. Highlight of my day!

As good as gold...

Carrying on with the present theme, this is what I'm getting (hopefully!) my mummy for Christmas:

It is the After Hours slim compact. RRP £30 and comes filled and it is also refillable (for £13). I want to get this and have the compact engraved.
I've had a look at a few estee lauder counters and the people there don't seem to know anything about these gold compacts (but the service of every counter was beyond awful) so if I am desperate I will order it off the estee lauder website.

Below is the Golden Alligator compact, rrp £35 and I want this!!!!!! Not getting this for mum cos she hates thing's like snakes and alligators and even the pattern would put her off her dinner. Not sure if I will get this for myself because I enjoy buying different powders and so it might be a waste.

I found this bad boy (below) on google images. I wouldn't mind this in my christmas stocking :)

No skinny minnie, no nothing

Hi Guys, hope you are all well and having a nice weekend,

So after work last night I quickly went to Oxford Street with 2 aims :

1. Buy my brother a birthday present
2. Buy a pair of black skinny jeans

Result?

I went home empty handed barr a bottle of diet pepsi, paracetamol and some exfoliating face scrub from superdrugs. Exciting(!)

1. In regards to my brother's birthday present, he wants a belt. Which sounds cool and easy, but my brother is not like me. My brother like's big brand names and luxury brands aka expensive shizzle. Prior to penny palace I loved buying my brother presents, his birthday and xmas were the only times I went into the flashy stores and left loaded with bags a la pretty woman on rodeo drive. Since penny palace, the quality (and quanitity) of gifts has rapidly gone down hill.

The belt I wanted to get him was a D&G (I think he'd prefer LV or Gucci but you get more bling for your buck with D&G lol) belt, but it cost £235. Erm, no. But then even the 'cheaper' one's that fit the specification are still around the £150 mark and that's still a no.

So I am in a dilemma. I don't want to get him a belt from the high street for the sake of it, or even get a middle range brand belt (aka CK or Hugo Boss) cos he won't love it, so should I just get him a Selfridges gift voucher to put towards the belt of his dreams? Or is that copping out? Personally, I LOVE getting gift vouchers as a gift, I prefer it to a 'real' gift (unless I specifically told you the product number lol). His birthday is on the 20th so....ARGH!

2. I went into Evans and Dorothy Perkins to look for black skinnies. DP didn't have a good size range and Evans...well the customer service was beyond crap.

I went into the fitting rooms with 2 jeggings and 2 harem pants. Turns out the jeggings weren't jeggings, just elasticated bootcut jeans so....

Me: "Excuse me, do you have these *point to black jeggings*?"
Shop Assistant: "I don't know. Maybe. If we have it, it'll be on the floor. Why don't you have a look?"
Me: "Erm....ok, thanks"

So I just left the store.

Then DP....despite my hatred for them I was feeling desperate because I've got two teeeeeny holes in the inner thigh area which is cool generally but an absolute no-no for saturday work so need need a replacement.

Anyway, my shop dash was crap, I was really disappointed but not surprised. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a 'normal' size and be able to just pick stuff off the rails. Oh well.

This is me in the Evan harem pants......£22 or £25. I liked them actually, but could have maybe done with a bigger size but they didn't have it in stock. I looked like I'd swallowed a canon ball from the side lol

Moving on to DP....before I tried on the jeans I had to try on this cape with leather buckle detail:

It was ok but it was not love. Which is just as well since I can't afford it anyway.

Next was the 'skinny jeans' which were not skinny. Come on now!

Skinny jean mission shall continue until I'm successful. Belt mission need to be ended v. soon. I'll let you know what happened.

xoxo

TAG: Q&A

Found this tag floating around so of course I want to do it too. And of course, I tag YOU!

1. What is your favourite smell?
Not off to a great. start. Can't smell much so don't really want to name a favourite cos not sure what I'm missing out on. But the one smell I miss being able to smell whenever I want is the smell of my mum's face powder. I remember from growing up that it was 'mummy's smell' and it makes my heart meeeeelt.

2. What is your favourite mode of transportation?
I love the bus. And not just because I'm scared of being underground. I like watching the scenery, or even staring at the other traffic. I like looking into shop windows and staring at the people walking on the street. I don't like looking at fellow passengers though. And I like ringing the 'stop' bell :)

3. If you could only live in one country for the rest of your life, which country would it be, and why?
I'd say here. I don't have the travel bug. I don't believe the grass is greener. And we (I) am lucky to live in this country. It could be much much worse. Be grateful. Appreciate. Love. *group hug*

4. What is one thing that you absolutely have to do before you die?
Confess my sins. I want someone, anyone, to know who I truly was before I leave this earth.

5. How do you feel about a woman changing her name when she marries?
When I was younger I wanted to get married asap so that I could take on a different surname and get rid of my lame moniker but now, if I was to marry, I would want to keep mine, even as a double barrelled surname or something. In regards to women in general, whatever. Sometimes people look tooooo much into things. If you want to change it, change it. Unless he does physically chain you to the kitchen sink.....blah blah blah

6. What is your favourite way of keeping up on current events?
Well, I'll be honest. I just understood the whole Chilean miner problem today. When they are being rescued. So I don't really keep up on current events (unless you count celeb, fashion and make up - cos I look online for that sort of current events 24/7 online!!) My mum thinks its terrible that I don't know what's happening in the world (and its not useful for my job not to know who the prime minsiter is) but *shrugs*. Ignorance is bliss!

7. If your significant other had a terrible habit that you couldn't stand, would you tell him/her?
I think I would. I'm that sort of person.

8. How do you deal with body-negative people in your everyday life?
I deal by doing nothing. Is that bad? Am I suppose to be a screeching (fat) haridan waving the banner for plus size girls? That's just another label. I am human-size. And so are you and you and you. There's so much negativity everywhere. Being fat is just another thing for people to discriminate against me about, but hey, that's their problem not mine.

....and isn't it weird how we associate body-negative with fat? Or is it me being paranoid?

I actually think it's 'wrong' (for want of a better word) that people can say to a skinny person nasty things, or ask if they are anorexic but generally when you are around the obsese you don't say anything and tip toe around the elephant. haha elephant. fat fat fatty!!!

Winter Wants

Hi Guys,

After my illness it's finally hit me that winter is here and it's time to start dressing a bit more appropriately.

I need stuff!

Tights:

Actually, forget tights (and stockings) - I want her body!! F*ck me. Jesus. *droooools*

Coat:

I'm sorry I've posted a million coats but I will not rest until I get one!!

This beautiful coat is from Gap (also available in black) rrp £99. I'm almost tempted to diet so that I can squeeze all of myself into a size 18...only almost tempted though.

Hat:

I've wanted a trapper hat (but preferably in a more caramel/brown tone) forever. But I've got a really big head :( Plus I'm a cheapskate and the one's that fit my giant head aren't cheap (anything more than a fiver is a lot, anything over £25 is waiting for me to win the lottery!!!)

Gloves:

As with the trapper hat, I've been searching for black long 'leather' gloves for ages, but I have problems getting them up my fat arms (boy, I have problems getting my fat hands to fit into any glove!!) so this dream may never come true for me. Which is a shame. Money wise I'm ok with spending a bit because black leather gloves can be worn 'forever' and I'm quite good with not losing them or anything like that. And you don't need to feel brave to wear them (unlike the hat).

Boots:

This is a toughie....and will get it's own post. I've got a lot of ankle boots. But I need boots that I can wear to work (but I'd change into my heels when I get to the office) that don't look weird with my office clothes. The main problem being price and the size of my calves, which are magnificently huge. But anyway.

I also need an umbrella. Not very happy with my tiger one. It barely fits into my bag (too long). And I know it won't last long, so I'm on the hunt for a small, black, cheapy brolly. Preferably with frills :)

What are you needing/wanting for winter?

TAG: Another 8 Questions

I'm on a roll!

1. What's your favorite dish/food and why?

Ok, this is really lame. But I'm going to be honest and say chicken wings and chips! Reason being, whenever I go abroad or even in an area where I'm away from any dodgy chicken shops (e.g. Wrexham, Canterbury, Cambridge) I really miss my chicken wings and chips. Don't judge me!!!!!!!

2. What's your favorite girl and boy name?

My favourite boy name is Ryan. Ryan was the name of my first hard core love (ok, crush), and so anyone I meet called Ryan gets an automatically step up the likeability ladder.
Favourite girl name.....something girly. Poppy. Lily. Rosie. (Doesn't have to be a flower though!) Or if I want to be brutally honest, if I have a daughter I think I'll call her Aprillia Mercedes (Yup, a bike and a car!!). Moi ish chavtastic :)

3. What is your favorite piece of clothing and why?

Favourite piece of clothing is....

....at the moment, my wrap coat (newlook). I love it. It makes me feel pretty and cool.
....Also, my asos curve dress aka 'photo 5' - it makes me feel sexy and confident, grown up and sassy. And it makes me appreciate my shape, which is not always the case.

4. What is your greatest memory in life today?

Wow, tough! Depends how you define 'great'. Does that mean best? Or most fun? Most special? Most proud?Life changing?

I could go on forever lol

Ok ok, I'm trying to think what day I will remember always, and this is really lame sounding but one of my greatest memories (and I can still remember the way my heart felt), was when I was told I was successful getting the job role I'm currently getting. I really didn't think I would, even though I knew that I would be the best for the role (a. life isn't fair and b. you have to believe in yourself!).

I'm not often a winner in life, but that one moment really changed things for me and has led to amazing days and more great memories.

5. Top 3 favorite stores to shop clothes at?

Primark, standard!!
Asos, obviously.
And.....Marks and Spencers lol I don't buy a lot from here, but it's a store that I can depend on and if I ever need a last minute outfit I know that I can count on good old M&S!

6. What are the 3 things you love the most about your body?

My lips ;)
My fingernails.
My eyebrows! (They are bushy and crazy wonky, but I like the way they frame my face.)

7. What's your gulity pleasure? ;)

LMAO I am going to lie here. Well, not lie, but hold back a bit!
So my guilty pleasure suitable for the web is.....pork cracking. I could eat it all day everyday even though I know a few pieces is killing my heart beat by beat.

8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I will be 35....so I hope that I'm in a different (biggger) property. Promoted at least 2 grades, hopefully 3 if possible. Sorry this is boring. I just want my life to be as it is now, but a bit glossier. I don't want a husband and kids. (I'll probably be laughing at myself when i read this back in 10 years time with baby Aprillia Mercedes on my lap LOL)

TAG: 8 Questions

Haven't done one of these for ages!
I tag YOU :)

1.
What would you ask for if a genie granted you 3 wishes?

Good health for all my friends and family (and myself).

A purse that gave me £500 in cash every time I opened it (in £10 and £20 notes)

To be successful in everything I pursue (whether it be work, love..)

2. What are 3 things you love the most about yourself?

The fact that as shit as I feel on the inside, people do seem to think I'm a decent person.

I love my finger nails!

I love that i am emotional. At least I can empathise with others. It makes me strong, not weak.

3. Who is your style icon?

I've never thought of this before....I like a lot of people's style. But because of my size I don't have an icon. There is no one that I can look up to and try to emulate (which is a shame).

4. Do you have a favourite quote or any words of wisdom to share?

"Love is eternal for as long as it lasts" - Read up full answer on
30 day challenge.

5.When you were a kid, what did you want to become when you grow up?

I wanted to be a teacher or an architect. Because I enjoyed making up names to call out at registration, and because I like using video tapes to build buildings lol

6. 5 years from now, when you look back at this phase in your life, what do you think you’ll say?

I'm glad I had more happy days then bad days. I'm happy with the friends I have and the things I'm doing. I'm proud I achieved a lot in this time. And I'm happy I kept a blog to record my thoughts and hauls lol

7.What kind of music are you into?

Pop, R 'n' B, Commercial rap/hip hop

8. What is the most important lesson you have learnt in you life so far?

Try and be happy in your own skin. Please yourself first before trying to please other people (in the nicest way possible)!

Your turn :)

Leather string thing

Just a quickie: here's the leather string thing I got from ebay after I became obsessed (and then unobsessed in the same 24 hour period!) with having a lovelink necklace.

Today is the first day I've worn it; and that was for the 5 minute 'photo shoot'.

It's not bad. It's just not me. Debating whether I should get some glass beads to jazz it up, or cut my losses now.

What were you shortly obsessed with and then wish you didn't bother spending money on? Comment below.
